Hello,
does anyone know how to setup boblight in Kodi working with hyperion/boblight? The binary isn't downloading. I already rooted the device. But there is no ssh client or something else where i could compile or copy the file manual.
Does anyone know a solution?
Greetings
Alex
How would you connect the lights? I know you can use a Raspi/Raspi2 to plug in any HDMI source to use Hyperion, but you would be connecting the lights to the Pi and setting up Hyperion on the Pi itself then running the NP through your Pi.

Has anyone tried to run Android VNC on their Q using the ADB app install method? It would be really cool if it worked...
I know this is old but it came up when I was searching.
Yes, VNC works. My Q is rooted with trebuchet sideloaded and VNC works however I am having a difficult time mapping keys to navigate through Android.
So I installed backtrack 5 successfully on my Note II running ARHD 14 and Perseus kernel, but I have a little problem. I can partially run airmon-ng but the internal wifi adapter can not be used in monitor mode so I want to find out how I can make a WN722n adapter to work using OTG adapter.
Backtrack seems to recognise the adapter as shown by the lsusb command. So I think is driver related the missing part to make it work. Any idea where I can find and how I can install the appropriate driver to work?
Anyone have an idea?

can you please send me the post or the HOWTO you used to install BT5 on note 2 ?

All linux OSs that has been ported to android, are not quite perfect. They are still in beta. So some things may not work. If I will find solution how to fix that. I'll post it here as soon as possible.

while i can not help you out, i would just like to say that having bt5 running on that bad boy just sound awesome.
are we talking command line or GUI ?
i would love to see a video if you find the time.
While i have no idea where to ask, i don't think this is the right place. i am not sure it will be helpful in any way but there was a lot of work put into porting BT for the original Xoom, and as i remember, it was also using an adapter to set monitor mode. you could maybe ask it as a general question and not device specific, and get some useful information that way. i will look into it when i finally get my Note II.

What would I need to get done to my spanking new shield to be able to use passwordless login to a linux fileserver and then use sshfs?
Basically I want to use a startup script that mounts up the sshfs which in turn will be used in Kodi.
Do I need to root it? Custom rom needed?
-Ossi
Nobody? Doesn't look good then I guess, can't even find an sshfs client thats compatible with the shield.
Ultimate Server has an SSHFS server built in. It's a pay app and you might have to sideload it. I'm not sure how you'd create keys for passwordless access on Android/Shield.
Have you tried

Hi, I have a rooted Hauwei U8800 running 2.3.5 with SSH Droid installed. I've connected from my Linux terminal over SSH and would like to issue commands, or run a script to have the device take pictures over a SSH session.
What options are available for me to do this? Easier is preferable
Thanks.
