S Planner deleted all events. Advice how to restore it? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys.
I used S Planner in my S4 i9505 as I installed 'a Cakendar'.
When I selected the kalendar list, all events got deleted and now I have a plain calendar.
I don't have a backup on my Google account, nor Samsung Account or a backup with Kies.
Is there any way to get this data?
I don't have root or an unlocked bootloader on this device.

Make sure the accounts in the app are set properly. If so, then the data is gone and no way to retrieve it.

To get your data back you should backup your data to your Samsung account. If you was not backuped your things you can not get your notes. Sorry for bad English :good:

Thank you guys. The sync was disabled and not backuped in Google/Samsung account.
Well next time I know why you should backup everything.

Rooted my Phone... did a Nandroid Back up... now what?

So I just used geekfor.me prekitchen program for its auto-rooter ability and rooted my phone to recovery img 1.2.3... worked successfully and then did a nandroid backup...
But what now?
1. Should I upgrade to recovery img1.5.2 file? Does it matter and why?
2. Where is the nandroid backup saved? Is it on the phone and where on the phone?
3. Do I lose my contacts if I install a rom such as Fresh 1.1?
TIA
You should not loose your contacts...and I would Update to img1.5.2 ... because is newer?
and the nandroid should be on your SDCARD if I am not mistaken
All of what is said above is true, and updating to fresh1.1 shouldnt erase ANYTHING ON THE PHONE. it will only update the Operating System Files
How do I back up my contacts from now on... I had to completely input them manually which was a pain in the ass.
Also... so since I installed fresh1.1... what cool things can I continue to do to the phone?
As for backing up your contacts, if you synced with a gmail account, and if you saved your contacts type as Google, they automatically get backed up to your gmail account, if I understand the system correctly.

Correct, but it is a hell of a lot easier to enter all the contact info at Gmail page rather than on the phone. At least you have a nice big screen and keyboard then. Then those contacts get pushed to the phone.

Help! Contacts gone after Flash!

Hey all,
I just succesfully flashed Android 2.3.4 to my SGS. Also I succeeded in restoring all my apps with Titanium Backup (I didn't restore System-Apps and Data). I linked the new system to my Google Account, and hoped that my phone contacts would be restored. However they are all gone and although my phone syncs with my Google Account it doesn't retrieve the contacts. What can I do? Are they somewhere in the Titanium Backup?
Thanks for your help.
have you checked that you set your phone to show you google contacts?
you can set it in display settings in your contacts

Your photos won't be deleted but your contacts will. Next time setup a google account. Try syncing contacts with Samsung Kies, but I don't know if it will work while your phone is locked.
thank you.
i got now:
- root phone
- > make an CWM Backup
-> Drop it to PC
have i any chance to delete the Alternate Passwort, or read it out? oder Chance it or whatever ?
or extract any Data from the Backup? (Contacts etc.)
thanks a lot

[Q] Help needed cannot sync calendar aftre root and delete

Hi all,
Been a long time since iv posted in XDA forums it was way back when it was for xda's as since iv had a iphone but now have android.
Anyway to my question.....
I rooted my N3 yesterday and deleted a load of stock apps but may have inadvertainly deleted something i should have because now i cannot sync any calendars or contacts, iv gone into titanium backup and i still have google calendar and google contacts sync so i cannot understand why they are not working.... i did deleted pretty much everything with samsung on it so could that be it?
Iv done the usual reboot phone, delete account, etc but it still says sync error ' sync is currently experiencing problems'
So my question is, does anybody know the files i need to put back to make sync work again without the need for me to go back to stock and do it all again?

[Q] Transfer messages Samsung to Cyanogen

Hello. I just installed Cyanogen 12.1 on my S4 and I cant restore my messages. I cant add Samsung account but I did a backup of my default messages app, joyn by telekom with TB. I restored app+data, but it just installed app, the messages are still missing.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
You would of needed to make a backup of 'Messages (SMS & MMS)' it's listed in yellow and as a XML type in TB. So if you haven't, then you've lost them.

I should have them in my Samsung account. It's no way that I can access them?
If they're on your Samsung account I can only thing I can suggest is to re install a stock rom, restore the messages and then do a local backup.
