CyanogenMod 12.1 (Android 5.1) Official Nightlies Discussion Thread
CyanogenMod tries to build a new, fresh "nightly" version every 24 hours for each of the devices it supports, which includes the most up-to-date changes to the source code, provided from all over the Internet. Of course, the nightly builds may also contain newly-introduced bugs, but hey- if you feel adventurous, you can help make CyanogenMod better by trying these experimental builds and reporting back bugs to the developers.

Flashing Instructions
Comprehensive installation instructions for CM on the OnePlus One can be found on the CyanogenMod Wiki: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_bacon
Note: If you are flashing from CM11/CM12, you MUST flash 5.1-compatible gapps after flashing the ROM!
1. Download the nightly and move it to your SD card.
2. Download gaaps and move it to your SD card. [This step is optional.]
3. Reboot into the custom recovery of your choice.
TWRP
CWM
Philz CWM
4A. Flashing dirty from CM11/12: Wipe cache/dalvik cache.
4B. Flashing clean: Full wipe.
5. Flash cm-121-2015xxxx-NIGHTLY-bacon.zip.
6. Flash gapps.zip. If flashing dirty from CM11/12, then you must reflash 5.1 compatible gapps (link above).
7. Reboot
For those having problems with apps crashing:
CafeKampuchia said:
1. If you didn't wipe cache / dalvik-ART from recovery when you flashed 12.1 over 12.0, go back and do that first.
2. If you still have FCs, go to Settings » Apps, find the offending app and click Clear data.
3. Still no go, time to do a factory reset.

Rooting:
This is a pre-rooted ROM, so there is no need to flash SuperSU!
1. Enable Developer options by going to System » About tablet and clicking Build number rapidly 5-7 times.
2. Under Developer options, click Root access and select Apps only, then Ok.
That's it!
Known Issues:
(I will keep this updated)
Camera still splits the exposure when using the flash

Am I blind ? Hard to tell if these download links are all still 12.0, and not 12.1 ? The 04/15 date, still seems to show CM-12 Android 5.0.2 ? Is that CM-12-1 Android 5.1 ?

As the OP says, coming soon and the download link is still not live for 12.1. It may even be today.
I'm using the latest April 15th version. Clean install, wipe system/cache/dalvik cache.
Anyone experiencing double-tap wake screen issues? Success rate is around 25% for me. I need to double-tap 5x (10 taps in total on average) to wake the screen. Never had this problem with CM11.

Curious to see how much improved 5.1 performance is. Let's hope tonight's build gets successfully built.

CM_VERSION=12.1-20150417-NIGHTLY-bacon is currently building and looking good so far, fingers crossed
Just to confirm, if/when it does build, should the installation process from CM12 nightlies be: flash the zip in recovery, then flash 12.1 gapps, then let it boot and all should be well?

I would download the nightly. Experimental builds are manually built. Nightly builds are done every night. Someone told the build server to build cm12.1 manually. Both are probably very similar code wise.

Sadly, yes. Didn't find a custom ROM without it yet. Also got it in stock, but the effect is not as strong there. Still no clean pic with Z3C, neither in stock nor in any custom ROM. Anyway a very good ROM.

Well, there is no ROM-thread for Z3C Exodus build... I'm not the creator nor the maintainer of the build, just found it and wanted to share the link, so it's hard for me to say how good the support is, didn't need it yet - everything works fine on my device. Not one single random reboot with Xposed since I use this ROM.
If you need support you probably should watch out on G+ (read pinned post!):

Great ROM, been running it for months, Devs are aggressive on bug fixing.

I'm using it with M5 permissive kernel and Slim Zero Gapps. Try this config, works great for me, no bootloops. You should wipe cache and dalvik directly after flashing Xposed, without doing this you will probably run into a bootloop or get a system starting and constantly rebooting after system is up. Use latest version (v75 arm) of Xposed.

You could easily give it a shot with MultiROM. I'm too lazy to list everything here... ;-P
There are quite a few things. Most important ones for me personally are the customizable clear all button in recents, customizable navigation bar height, double tap to sleep on lockscreen (double tap anywhere) and four tiles per row in quick settings. I also like it to be able to deactivate navigation ring as I never use it and it only gets on my nerves when accidentally swiping over the navigation bar.
It is not this rom version but you can say build after 5th October causing this kind of problem. May be some minor bug with latest builds

No problem with bootloops except one case:
1) Factory Reset
2) Flash ROM
3) Flash M5 (permissive) kernel (for V4A)
4) Flash Xposed v75 arm
5) Wipe cache & dalvik
6) Boot up system
7) Restore many (300+) apps with Titanium Backup
In this case ROM will reboot shortly after TB is closed and a few seconds after system is running and up it will reboot and do this again and again until the battery is empty.
Solution: Boot to recovery, wipe cache & dalvik again. Everything should be fine now, no more bootloops.
This behavior also occurs on CM12.1 nightlies for me so seems to have nothing to do with the ROM itself but rather CM base.

Same here, without Xposed no bootloop at all. With Xposed: constantly rebooting after recovering apps (Xposed already installed) but gone after wiping cache & dalvik again.

Hello friends!
Since the CyanogenMOD 13 arrived for “Moto E 2015 LTE”, admin of cyanogenmod.org removed CyanogenMOD 12.1 ROM from their site catalog :crying: :crying: .
Luckily, I downloaded that last and most stable CyanogenMOD 12.1 ROM for “Moto E 2015 LTE” just before they delete it from website :victory: :victory: ; which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
So today, I am providing you that last and most stable CyanogenMOD 12.1 ROM and its installation procedure.
First, you need to download the ADB/Fastboot Files, CyanogenMOD ROM zip file, GApps, Stable and functional Squid Kernal zip file, SuperSU Update zip file and most important thing, Custom TWRP Recovery. Without custom recovery, you cannot flash CyanogenMOD ROM.
Here are the links to download these files.
1: Download ADB-Fastboot files (Android SDK Tools) from HERE
2: Download CyanogenMOD 12.1 ROM zip file from HERE.
3: Download TWRP-3.0.2 Recovery from HERE or HERE.
4: Download GApps from HERE or Here.
5: Download Squid Kernal zip file from HERE or Here.
6: Download SuperSU zip file from Here or Here.

Please make a change in your post and add links to Squid's TWRP rather than official cause official has mounting and unmounting issues leading to corrupted gapps.
I'll flash this ROM in a few minutes. Thanks for posting the link to it
Honestly I don't see the point in using CM12.1 anymore CM13 is pretty stable now.

I just noticed while using this rom, it got really laggy just by pulling down the notifications shade. So, you're right about Marshmallow being better to an extent.
Hello. How can I unlock the bootloader of the Moto E XT1528?

I am using this CM12.1 ROM from the date it was posted on CM's site. It is working flawlessly. I didn't even do a Factory Data Reset to it from last 7 months, No lagging, no issues, working absolutely fine with great battery life.

Doesn't work though.
If you guys still want to use LP based ROM, I recommend PAC-LP. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=162292
I present to you unofficial OPENGAPPS for Android 8.0 (Oreo), updated weekly. These are based on official opengapps.org sources.
If you would like to try building them yourself follow this tutorial and if you have any questions or problems you can PM me.
You can find more info on their website or on XDA.
I will not be providing Full packages as these don't get downloaded very often. If you would like these packages anyway I can still build then for you, but don't expect frequent updates.
Everything is hosted on Android File Host, below you can find direct download links for every package:
Arm:
Pico - Updated 01.10.2017
Nano - Updated 01.10.2017
Micro - Updated 01.10.2017
Mini - Updated 01.10.2017
Stock - Updated 01.10.2017
Aroma - Updated 01.10.2017
Arm64:
Pico - Updated 01.10.2017
Nano - Updated 01.10.2017
Micro - Updated 01.10.2017
Mini - Updated 01.10.2017
Stock - Updated 01.10.2017
Aroma - Updated 01.10.2017
I will try to update all the packages every other day, but if I skip an update it's probably due to some problems, so please patiently wait.
Now about changelogs: Since these are based on opengapps source and I just build then, I don't have any changelogs. But don't let this disappoint you. Opengapps are just google apps taken from the playstore and compiled together, so providing changelogs would be useless since all you're getting are app updates.
Instructions for flashing:
1. Flash ROM
2. Flash gapps
You can dirty flash gapps if you want to update them, but this is the same as downloading updates from the playstore so it's pretty useless. But it is very useful if you want to install a larger package.
Advanced features:
Opengapps are very customisable. You can pick exactly which apps you want installed and even some other very useful customisations. You can learn more about them here: Advanced options
I've provided a template of gapps-config.txt, which you can customise to your liking. More about this in the link above. Get it here: gapps-config.txt
Error reports:
If you face any issues while using these I'll do everything to try to help, so be as precise and descriptive as possible. Provide at least this information:
- Architecture (arm/arm64)
- Variation (pico, mini...)
- Device model (Redmi Note 3...)
- Zip date (which version you flashed - 28.09.3017...)
- When did you face the problem (While flashing, after booting, later on...)
- Describe the situation (Setup wizard force closed, can't sign in...)
This way I can test on my own devices and look into the problem. But again, I only build these gapps, so I may not be able to fix your particular problem.
Please don't ask for ETA, I try to build and upload these as fast as possible, but I run in to a lot of trouble as well, especially since I've just moved hosts and am setting everything up. Also I don't really care about the rating, but don't give bad ratings if something crashes, since it's mostly a compatibility issue with your rom, remember, I only build these packages, not make them, they are downloaded from opengapps' github repo.
Since I'm busy with high school updates are going to be a little slower than usual. Please don't ask for ETA. Also I will firstly try to fix the problems some users reported, but expect an update for all the packages in less than a week. Since I'm just a student I can't dedicate my whole day to gapps. Thanks for understanding ?
Please update aroma package sir.

I decided it was useless, because I have to upload 2 times. Use AFH, it works great. Also arm64 stock and aroma are getting uploaded atm.

I updated the thread a little. But since nano isn't that big I guess I can still build and upload it. Expect it in about 30 min.

Not as far as I know, this is a compatibility issue. But you can prevent Setup Wizard from force closing by removing the sim tray and rebooting. You can reinsert it after finishing with all the google settings (when you get to the launcher). This isn't a problem with just my packages so you would get the same result using any unofficial gapps.
Hi, thank you so much for your work. I'd like to know if there is a fix for being stuck after installation is done?

Sorry, but I haven't found one yet. But I've tested with my Nexus 5 and after it says "Installation complete" you can safely reboot to system. It should work fine after that. I'll try and find a fix for that though.
any ideas how to make pixel icons work cause i flashed he apps and pixel icons and launcher were in and i can see the apk in the system folder but the icons or any setting for that do not appear

Bro, there isn't any problem with mcaosp ultrapico gapps for kenzo in any of the o roms, if possible can you please check them.
Maybe if possible you can import setup wizard from them. Which is maybe tweaked a little for Oreo.

I can try, but they (ultrapico gapps) are not based on opengapps, that's the problem. Again, I just build opengapps from their sources. Also my goal is quantity, even though I try to fix all the problems as well. For now try the solution I provided and I'll se what I can do.

Setup wizard is same of both the gapps.
But there is no source of mcaosp gapps, that's the biggest problem
