I Broke the screen and replaced it (not replaced it by myself).
The screen they gave me is kinda weird.
The LED circle is really big now and I can see few colors when it blinks.
Hope you guys understand what I mean.
What can I do with that?

I have replaced multiple screens , that is LED/Digitizer combined and no problems. Can you describe what exactly what is happening in a little more detail?

Of course, sorry for not being clear.
The screen broke and I changed it in a lab.
They assembeled a screen where the LED cut out is really clear and can be seen with out difficulties.
Not just that, now when the LED blinks I can see the whole LED cut out shines instead of just the little "flare".
Hope this is clear .
Thanks!
Sorry for bad English.
It's probably not original screen. I had to replace the display and I ordered cheaper one. Hole on the led was completely transparent. In the original display the hole should be blacked out.

Yes. It looks like you're pressed the area hard for long periods of time, right?
Yes Exactly like tat.. my friend, y is it kept like tat?
Thanks a lot.. am little relaxed by ur reply ..
i think it's called screen burns. regularity of pressing at the spot too often i reckon. but ey, its normal in all lcd screen. unless you'd want a crt screen for your xperia. but it is normal, don't wworry. mine aint yellow tho, mine is bright white lol
mine is not yellow, its actually bright white.
Pissed me off first time i saw it, but i got use to it now
Look here...
Check out these posts which all relate to exactly the same thing -actually not as obvious as you might think to search for, as its variously called screen burn, light leakage, even screen fade...

Hi guys, sorry if this has been posted, tried searching and couldn't find anything.
Anyways, I want to know something about the phones screen and I would like to conduct a little test.
Could you hold your phone in front if your face and turn the phone to your right (as you would if you wanted to show someone the screen full on who was sitting on your right) and look if the screen inherits a blue tint. Repeat this but to the left and see if the screen inherits a yellow tint.
It is seriously noticable on my device and I want to know if it is just me. Thank you.
P.S. I have had my phone for around a week and the bottom 1/3rd still has a slight yellow tinting. Any idea is this fades or is this just a dud LCD?

I have the same tinting effects when I angle the phone, it's noticable but it doesnt really bother me.
This has already been confirmed...mine does it too.
+1 another one here. It is a slight tint though nothing to worry about or notice, unless you are looking for the tint.
The viewing angles on this phone aren't the greatest if that's what you're getting at :/
I think the LED that lights the "Search" capacitive button of my phone is burnt out, since this button won't light up. It's not a Rom issue because the light doesn't light up at boot, nor when I change Roms.
I was wondering if anybody knows which is the part that actually has the LEDs. I think it might be the whole LCD part, but I'm not sure, and want to be positive before buying a part I wouldn't need. Thanks.

Well honestly, I'm not so sure about that. I've been looking at pictures/videos of the motherboard and the lcd display, and from what I can tell, the bottom of the lcd display is actually between the digitizer and the motherboard, so I do not see how on earth the LEDs could illuminate through the lcd display, if in fact that's where they are located.
From the picture I attached you can see what I think MIGHT be the LEDs, only if they actually shine at an angle. I thought maybe someone here might have taken theirs apart, but I guess I might just have to take mine apart and see for myself, if I muster up the courage.
Yes, it seems to be where leds are. However, we need to buy and replace the whole lcd part to make leds work again. Thanks for your discover

I have just replaced my samsung galaxy s4 screen lcd and digitalizer. When i boot up the phone the screen has an yellowish white tone.
When i plug out the bottom buttons and the charger cord inside the phone, from the main board. The yellowish screen goes away, and i get a nice white toned screen.
Is this a hardware or software problem?
Does anyone have a clue how to fix it? any sort of contribution would help!
Sorry for bad english, it is not my native language
What happens when you connect the old lcd?

Well, the reason i switched lcd was because it broke down when i droped my phone on the floor, so that one doesnt show anything...
I can see my background picture in behind, when the screen gets yellow and i open an app. the phone is also rooted
i have broken my screen (touch amoled, all the screen) and i bought another one from ebay
looks original and arrived in a samsung service pack box
this new display have something strange in colors when the backlight is low, looks like...don't know how to explain but the colors are not perfect as they were with the factory screen...somehow a little bit green (always when light is low)
anyway sometimes now, like one time every week, after i while i'm using it, the screen go crazy and when i touch it, i see (developer, show touch dots) random touch around my fingers
some days ago this problem happened when i was in a call, me and my interlocutor, we heard a strange noise like bzzzzzrbrbzbrbrbzzzz when i was touching the screen, so there was the touch crazy problem and some strange noise when i was touching the screen
a reboot and everything is ok for some day....
i hope you had understood my poor english
opinions? what can i do? :crying:
ps. i have a 9506
It's probably a fake screen. That would explain your color problem and touch problem.

the screen resolution is correct and with high backlight the colors are perfect, looks like original on the front and on the back
how to check if it's fake?
