Hello!
My sisters GS3 Neo fell in the toilet (the schools toilet ) and we can't find the LDI to undestand if she can send it to be repaired under warranty. Where are this stickers located?

I recently opened up my s3 neo and there aren't any stickers to tell you that.
Check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fgnx_zoaIk0 However s3 neo doesn't have any of these marks. Even battery has no stickers.

Thank you. Fortunately the phone started workig again after a few days in dry rice. And yes, my sisters phone doesn't have LDI's on the battery or the back behind the battery itself so, same as yours.

Liquid on my Desire hd

Hi guys,
Yesterday my uncle have accidentally putted on my phone some liquor, amaro Montenegro..
It is entered into auricolar and now when make a call I can't hear clear sound.. maybe the sugar have damaged the headphone..
Should I call the HTC support? Or I can try to solve the problem homemade?
Thanks!
Do not turn on your phone and put it in a bag of rice. Worked perfect with a friend's iphone which was damaged in water.
Please use this remedy at your own risk.
Looks like he already did.
I suggest going for proper support seeing that its more than water
Cheers from my DHD.
you should know, that any water/liquid damage is not under warranty
so you have to pay for it..
i would try to open it myself and clean it..but you'll need some knowledge to do so.

I doubt it will work for alcohol, especially with a liqueur (which that sounds like). It is way too sugary.
I would try cleaning it with some 100% ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL. You should get that at any pharmacy.
Uff.. but if i disassembly the phone i will void the varranty.. :'(
At HTC support they can see that there is a liquid infiltration? It is sugary...
Yes, HTC will know that it has "water damage". This is impossible to conceal with modern phones.
The critical thing (with ordinary water) is speed - getting rid of it before it rusts the components. So removing the covers and putting a hairdryer on it as soon as possible is the best thing to do. A small amount of water left for a long time will cause a lot more damage than a large amount dried out quickly.
Sea water is particularly bad for it (corrosive). Your liqueur sounds almost as bad.
The phone was repaired in warranty with no problem
Returned today after 14days..

They 'cleaned' it for free? Cool

[Q] Note 3 Touch screen not working after gone swimming. :(

Hi everone.
The problem is my Note 3 Touch screen not working after gone swimming.
After clean up and dried up the phone working with the Spen and everthing work only touch screen dead.
What i have to change? Mainboard or screen?
Thanks.
:good:
I suspect the screen. If the motherboard was fried, the phone wouldn't start...
Did you leave the phone to dry in a bowl of rice for three days?

Once swim inside, try pull out battery, and put everything inside the rice bag for at least 3 days like @ShadowLea said. 1 week better.
My friend's phone also like that but he is luckier the phone drop, battery came off nd drop to water. So the phone was in off condition. I dunno urs.

We were on a boat but all of our phones were in box for phones and none got wet at all except mind of course. some how it got a tad bit of moisture in the camera and little on top by ear piece...Now only half the screen works....What could be the problem? It sat in rice and zip lock baggie 48 hours in a Hot car and still same issue..Its 3 weeks old and bought from Best buy i dont think they warranty it. only way they would know if theirs water damage is if the battery sticker is red right? cause its Still white.
Its At&t Thanks!

Ok, They are not going to Cover it im on my own with this one..Where should i start? The phone works perfect so does this mean the motherboard is good? should i start by replacing the digitizer?

First to do at low cost is to dry it in dry air and température set at below 50°C for 24 H.
Back cover and battery removed.
Check if your kitchen oven is well regulated to perform this task at thermostat 0 or 1. (was my case at first position)
If not, put it under the afternoon sun if such in your country and take care of the rain!!!.
Then , no effect, go to service.
Go to service, chances are the liquid indicators didn't get triggered.

Cracked backdoor cover is it still waterproof?

So I dropped my s7 edge yesterday morning on my way to work ! As I went to put it in my pocket it missed my pocket and fell on concrete !!! I picked it up hoping it didn't Crack but not so lucky Ole me turned the phone around sure enough the whole back had spider webs !!! ?? iam so f***** stressed lol especially with the fact that so many people in NYC have the s7 edge and there's is perfect !!! "jealous Ole me lol" but the funny part here is that I put both my Cases in my bookbag the official Samsung Clearview flip cover case and the official samsung wireless charger case instead of putting either one of them on my phone smfh !!! Sorry for rambling!!! Okay so my question is : is the s7 edge still waterproof ? :crying
Only one way to find out...
Just kidding. I'd keep it away from water though.
There are no guarantees. I would avoid getting it wet at this point.
A case should help keep the damaged area dry from rain. Covering the back with a skin should help keep it dry as well as hide the cracks.
Adding to the OP's question, if and when he gets it repaired how can he be sure it is done correctly to maintain the water resistant rating? I am guessing sending it back to Samsung is really the only sure fire way?

Manufacturer Warranty

Soo the other day my screen starting flickering and went out I didn't drop my phone or anything that day to have broke the screen.. Warranty won't cover my phone because the back is cracked too.. If I got the back glass replaced would they then accept the phone?
Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Probably yes, but isn't the phone imei on back glass? If they don't notice then everything should be fine.
I sent it in to Samsung broke they fixed it all no charge

Samsung is good on that. I should have gone through them years ago when I got a galaxy s2. The phone arrived from ebay with like a water stain under the glass. Samsung would take care of it for free. The seller insisted they be given a chance to make it right and had me send it back for another. I did and when it was being sent back to me it got "delivered" but was really lost in the mail. eBay backed the seller and I lost a lot of money in that deal.

Sorry to revive a dead thread but did you change the back cover yourself and did Samsung realise the imei was different? I'm in the same predicament. Had issues with overheating for a long time but never went in and then the other day back glass cracked from a fall of 10 cm! I'm thinking of changing the back glass from ebay and then giving it to Samsung as they said they won't cover it under warranty until the glass is repaired for £80!

I actually sent the phone in anyway.. They told me I may be responsible for paying to get the back glass fixed. But they sent it back fully repaired for free. This came with having to call back multiple times and talk to different people. I was prepared to pay for the back glass though.
My phone got wet , I thought the phone was water proof , and I did not submerge it in water it just got wet. Will Samsung cover it ???
