I make this thread in order to help nailing down the problems with Xposed and new stock Sony Lollipop.
As everybody knows, Xposed is out in alpha for LP (5.0.2)
Some testing on Sony based stock roms reported that it will mostly brick your rom, forcing you to clear ART-cache every time you want to boot the phone.
If you won't clear the cache, the phone simply bootloops.
This happens only on SOME situations, on some other works.
Once you bricked the ROM, removing Xposed doesn't seem to help, you will have to wipe clean and reflash everything.
So be careful while testing Xposed.
You can post here your results or suggestions regarding this serious issue.
Any kind of log about the problem is appreciated.
EDIT: POSSIBLE FIX FOUND
** As always... TAKE A BACKUP FIRST! **

I uninstalled a lot of (apparently) unuseful stuff, and my phone is now rebooting all ok.
Try uninstalling all google stuff except for store and framework (you can reinstall everything later from store)
Then remove some of the stuff you don't really need from the list here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/wip-debloat-lp-690-correct-functioning-t3076161
Hope it helps.

I heard of problems even if rom is deodexed in the z3 section...
Anyway, since no deodex is already out for Z1, we can't test it.
Here is Z3 thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/lp-mini-deodex-t3076490. When CE1 will be available I'll do some tests and prepare deodex.
C6906 on stock FTF clean flash of 5.0.2.
Xposed worked fine for me, up until I flashed the "5.0.2. Memory Leak Fix" found on the repo in the Xposed app. Boot loop after enabling this and rebooting. Cleared both caches, got all the way until "starting applications" after it counted up the list of installed apps, then froze, and rebooted. Repeated the process forever. Could never get into a stable working environment to disable that hook.
Tried to remove the conf files in data/data/xposed/conf, but no luck.
Had to FTF Flash again, which I'm waiting on booting right now, to see if that fixed it.

Same here. Tried in the same manner.
If someone is able to deodex the rom, I can provide the full system dump.
Before flashing the xposed framework i advise you guys to make a backup (recovery) of your system. This way if anything bad happen, just restore your system and you're good to go.
Sent from the future.
I suggest not to install xposed.......I bricked my z1 3 times.......now it's ok without xposed, maybe it's better if we wait for a more stable version for lollipop

This seems to suggest to me that deodexing won't be a guaranteed fix:
https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/31#issuecomment-91374076
The good news is, rovo89 is aware of the issue. I can't tell if he got the logs he needed though.

Been running Xposed all day with Gravitybox Module & Unicon. Tried lots of modules and rebooted lots of times. No bootloop issue. May I ask, are they using the latest version of Xposed? And how did the install Xposed? These Qs may lead to answers.
I am using the latest version both flashable zip files and apk. And I installed the apk first after first boot and the did a restore using TB then flashed the files on the flashable zip. I don't recommend installing mods before first boot.
I'm on a C6903 and using prerooted HK flashable zip with dual Recovery.

xposed worked find on my phone.
follow this method,
1. flash xposed-arm-20150308.zip via recovery
2. clear cache / ART
3. Reboot system , install XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha2.apk and soft reboot.
4. install xposed module and enable module.
5. go to framework menu and soft reboot
*** If your phone get bootloop , no need to flash whole firmware. just force shutdown your phone, ( hold Power button + vol up 5sec) , go to Teamwin recovery ( power on phone + vol up) , mount system - advanced - file manager, go to /system/ framework folder and delete XposedBridge.jar .

ROM downloaded with XperiFirm and pre-rooted with PRFCreator.
CDA (customization version): 1280-7864 (Customized CE1)
It contains SuperSU 2.46 and LockedDualRecovery 2.8.21 (it will overwrite your current recovery).
You need to be on any rooted ROM already with custom recovery to flash a .zip file with this firmware!
You don't loose any data (but make your backup before upgrading), you keep root, you update your firmware to the newest Lolipop 5.1.1 build .368.

Hi Davka , I will taste it right now , any wipes at all to do please ????
Cache and Dalvik cache for sure. I'm not sure about system, I did system wipe but probably by mistake I have also checked data so I have ended with factory reset state - but everything important was backed up on SD
Hey !
Worked fine for me (with both dalvik and cache wipe obsiously).
But a major problem remains : when I launch xposed, it says that the framework is not installed and I need to flash it with the zip from xda.
I get the right zip (v74 sdk22 arm) but when I flash it, it boot properly, optimise the apps, shows the launcher for about 1 second and then the screen goes and stays black....
Help ? Please ? :'(
Edit : okay, found the solution ! (uninstall xperia xposed). But now I can't get rid of the bloatware with titanium backup as I used to do ><
installing Xposed?
I do not work and tested some versions.
Xposed working fine for me. Flashed zip via recovery. No issues so far.

Is it possible to install this as secondary rom using multirom
Thank you for your work!!
Everything works like a charm.
i guess its bc the stock kernel is running in enforcement mode. try to set it to permissive via init script
Installed , all running perfect , thanks !!!!!
Do a factory reset if you've got "Android OS/System" as a number one battery eater.
I've got this problem and factory reset solved it (and that 's not so trivial because I've cleared all partitions just after update)
Xposed not working!!!!!! I installed it, worked fine.... then I enabled the apps, rebooted again...and then it didn't..black screen. help!
I mean I know how to fix it (uninstall xposed..)
but how to do it without uninstalling it? Should I try enabling the apps one by one?

If You are on Lollipop
Flash any 14.4.A.0.108 FTF. You can find one here.
Root using the exploit. You can find the root exploit here.
Since You are one .108 firmware already, there it no need to flash the kernel ftf again. Simply run the install.bat in "Root kernel .157.zip>rootkitXperia_20140719.zip"
Install Locked bootloader Dual Recovery by NUT from here. Use Z1C-lockeddualrecoveryX.X.XX-RELEASE.installer.zip.
Download and copy the PRF zip to phone.
Boot into recovery
Wipe the System, Data, Cache, Dalvik cache partitions.
Flash the copied PRF zip.
Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache

If You are on .108 firmware, simply run the install.bat in "Root kernel .157.zip>rootkitXperia_20140719.zip".
If not, then flash the .108 kernel ftf via flashtool, and then run the install.bat .
Install Locked bootloader Dual Recovery by NUT from here. Use Z1C-lockeddualrecoveryX.X.XX-RELEASE.installer.zip.
Once You have recovery:
Download and copy the PRF zip to phone.
Boot into recovery
Wipe the System, Data, Cache, Dalvik cache partitions.
Flash the copied PRF zip.

FTF is the original stock ROM, the zip file includes root and a custom recovery. You need to decide whether you wish flashing the stock ROM without root (ftf) or the pre-rooted zip file.

It seems to be working good for Me for now, and too short time to give a proper experience report since I was restoring mostly. I used a fresh install since other peoples in other threads have been facing different problems which disappeared after a clean flash. You can try a dirty flash, and if problem presists, clean flash would be good.

Thanks, mate.
I'm downloading all the files now.
I can follow the instructions, I just need a little help with the terminology, this being my first Android and root.
- Flash a 14.4.A.0.108 FTF from here. - This means downgrade phone's firmware using Flashtool, right?
- Root using the exploit. You can find the root exploit here. - Here I only use rootkitXperia and not the Kernels?
- - Install Locked bootloader Dual Recovery by NUT from here. Use the installer one. - Only execute the .bat file?
I think I can follow the rest.
I have managed to do it.
Thanks again for everything.

Glad it got solved. Just if someone again stumbles against such problems, I will clarify Your doubts:
Yes, phone's firmware needs to be downgraded for rooting the phone. This is done as there is a proper rooting option available only for that specific firmware's kernel. There are other rooting methods available, but they are not safe and even they require downgrading to older firmware.
Yes, since the firmware flashed is of version .108 , there is no need to flash the kernel. Just use the rooting method.
Yes, the .bat one, since the phone is rooted and it has no recovery.

Camera seems to be same to Me, but I never actually used camera in other than Superior Auto mode. I had the background defocus camera after installation.
Never used adway, so can't comment. May be issues with support to v5.1?
WiFi is pretty much stable to Me. Works even on weak signal. What exactly do You mean by unstable? Not working or connectng and disconnecting frequently?
There seems to be an issue with smart lock, the position one. Use to work fine with 5.0.2, now locks phone even when I'm in trusted area. Have done a clean flash.

What do you use for blocking ads, then? You could be right about adaway 's 5.1 support, but I've installed Mother of all Ad Blocks, zip file which is available on Xda. I've rarely used superior auto, manually most, focusing speed has also increased. I installed background defocus from the play store, dailer is jittery, wifi just drops frequently, unless am within 6feet rangeof the router. I'll try smartlock too. Mine's is a clean install as well, always gives positive results.

a lot of difference, trust me on this. The Sony Audio Settings are all off and totally untouched rather you can mix them in with

Hello to all,
Yesterday I spent all night trying to pass described rooting procedure, but no luck
I'm on stock LP 5.1.1 (14.6.A.0.368) no root, no unlocked bootloader.
Every time I flashed D5503_14.4.A.0.108_EURO.ftf my phone got boot loop, so I couldn't go further.
Finally to make the phone usable I came back to LP 5.1.1 using Sony PC Companion repair option.
Could someone tell me what I did wrong or why I got no success?

I've been working on getting xposed framework to work for two months now. All I want is to install xposed framework on my sm-a300h. Can it really be that hard that it should take up all my waking time during two months to install it?????
My system has been deodexed by someone else, so don't ask me how he managed to make that work.
Tried to install TWRP by following instructions here!: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sam...overy-twrp-2-8-7-0-samsung-galaxy-a3-t3173382
Managed to get TWRP to work!
I had already installed XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha4.apk
With TWRP I tried to install this (Xposed framework):
xposed-v84-sdk21-arm.zip from http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk21/arm/xposed-v84-sdk21-arm.zip
When I restarted I suppose I got a so called boot loop, I just see the Samsung logo over and over.
So my two questions are,
1. Why didn't it work to install Xposed Framework?
2. How do I get out of the boot loop and get the phone to work again? haven't made any backups.
Has anyone installed xposed framework on this model or should I sell the piece of s*t phone and try with some other phone???? I'm wasting my life trying to get this to work....
My head's just spinning trying to find information in different threads in here, I'm think I'm on the limit to having a nervous breakdown. As far as I can see there's no thread on how to install xposed framework on sm-a300h? Please, help. If I need to buy a new phone, just tell me what phone to buy, and how much it is and ill buy that phone instead...
I guess I have to flash a stock rom in order to get my phone working again?
I downloaded a stock rom from sammobile for my device, A300HXXU1BPA1_A300HUUBBPA1_BVO.zip but the only way I can flash a rom now is through odin, but odin doesn't take .zip files. So how can I restore my phone and flash the zip?
I tried the Wipe function in TWRP, but it doesn't work... Still boot loops.
I guess the mistake I did was flashing the wrong version of xposed framework for my device?
Which version should I use the next time i try?
Does this work for my device? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64900847&postcount=3681

Instead of second guessing then getting frustrated and annoyed when it doesn't work. Why not just spend literally 2 mins and make a proper backup first then if there are any issues just restore it?
Whats the point in having a custom recovery and not using it's main feature?
You've only got yourself to blame for your errors and resultant frustration and anyone else reading this should also take note.
Anyway pet talk over.
You should be good with the link you posted.

You've only got yourself to blame for your errors and resultant frustration and anyone else reading this should also take note.
Anyway pet talk over.
You should be good with the link you posted.

Did everything again from the beginning, flashed a ROM from sammobile, flashed TWRP.
Installed XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha4.apk
Then I tried to install this version of xposed framework: http://www.arter97.com/browse/tmp/hsk/xposed/ using TWRP.
Then I got an error while installing xposed framework. The error message says i need to free up more /system space. arter97 recommends in his thread that you "debloat your current ROM installation via root access.", but how do I do that?
And when I tried to start the phone after trying to install xposed framework it went into a boot loop.
So then I tried to restore the backup in TWRP. Restore Failed.
Get this error: Cannot restore system -- mounted read only.
What now?

To restore your backup remove the check in 'SYSTEM partition read only' under MOUNT.
Make sure your rom is deodexed.
Install this via twrp: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3510616&d=1445173483
Install Xposed installer.
Done
if you bothered reading the xposed thread, you would've noticed that Samsung TouchWiz firmwares are not supported from the official xposed from rovo.
use this one from arter97/dkcldark. Keep in mind, this is for sdk21 (5.0), in case we ever get 5.1 (sdk22) or 6.0 (sk23), we wont need this one anymore.
with the dkcldark version you don't even need to debloat anymore;
I also made a tutorial some time ago; should be the same steps for this a3:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/general/tuto-xposed-odex-rom-yes-knox-0x0-t3316688/
anyway, you should read a lot first before even thinking about flashing something, and like said above, a backup is a must because even those who (think they) know what they are doing sometimes **** up
I`m using this without any issues.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
SDK22.
SDK22 means Android Lollipop 5.1.x.
SDK23 means Android Marshmallow 6.0.x.
ARM means the devices that are running arm32 operating system.
ARM64 means the devices that are running arm64 operating system.
Try this (at your own risk).
It`s better to flash or restore backup first and then install Xposed Installer App (as normal apk installation) and then flash this from TWRP.

Because that's a life saver for Z2 with Prerooted rom. That's the only bootloop fix exist here on xda for now. Can you try flashing without it at see if it boots? And report back here! Unless u wanna waste some times on re-flashing LP rom and rooting it again to get back on a rooted mm rom
Will previous D6502 patches work?
RICdefeat & byeselinux
Have you used byeselinux & RICdefeat in the firm compilation??
Or only the bootloopfix?
Thank you

Yeah I saw some feedback on "23.5.A.0.575" build as well that some ppl didn't flashed bootloop fix and they got it boot.
But for me I'd to flash bootloop fix to get into os. I remember Last time when I was on MM build "23.5.A.0.570_R4D" I've like 350+ apps installed on my z2 and after a few weeks later Build "23.5.A.0.575" came out. And guess what I've flashed it without the bootloops fix and that's it, I got stucked on lockscreen and whenever I unlock my device it just reboot again & again, And I can't even boot to recovery. With a broken heart I've to flash LP rom again and root it and then flash the latest MM build. I just did't want to take that risk again this time, since I've now more than 360+ apps installed on my Z2. So It's upto All of u guys. U want to flash the old bootloop fix or not. Try and let us know Good Luck!
Yeah you need bootloop fix. The same thing happened to me but I just pressed volume button during the bootloop, I entered TWRP, connected to USB, copied bootloop fix and flashed it without reinstalling everything

Hello all. So i own a galaxy s5 g900f and was using snapchat normally then i had to logout and now im tryin to login again but show up a message saying: "oh no! Your login temporarily failed, please try again later ". I already tried to clean the app data even sync my google acc. But no use . I have a rooted device. Anyone can help me please ? Thank you
Have you installed xposed? If so uninstall xposed login on snapchat and reinstall xposed... Problem should be solved!
And if you didn't install xposed make a backup and do a factory reset...
If none of the above helped install a custom rom if you want but that's all i know

I tried to install xposed but my phone got stuck on the samsung logo . You know any way to install xposed ?
So you don't have xposed installed... And you can't login on snapchat. I'd recommend to install a custom rom and first install snapchat and see if you can login but just be sure a cyanogenmod based rom is really good but you will lose touchwiz functions. Or you could just try a factory reset.
@luizinho123 did you use the uninstall framework flash zip? When your S5 got stuck at the samsung logo?
Also if you wanted to install xposed I would also agree with @RadsGam3R to install cyanogenmod or use samsung kies to reflash your device. Then install snapchat and login once you done that then you can do the following if you want xposed installed.
1. Download the correct xposed framework zip file here >
sdk23 for marshmallow
sdk22 for lollipop
sdk21 for kitkat
2. download the xposed installer here >
3. Reboot your device into your custom recovery and flash xposedframework
4. Reboot your device it may do another reboot in the process
5. once you're back in install the xposed installer and just download the xposed modules that you would like, then go to the the module section and tick the checkbox and reboot.
6. Sit back and enjoy xposed!
If you have any bootloops please read the known issues section on this post here >

I installed the ressurection remix rom but couldnt record a video . And i want to install others roms but ive noticed that asks for aroma installer . I ve no idea wht that may be .
@luizinho123
you could try looking for these files to see if they exist if they do delete them. They are XposedBridge.jar and xposed.prop
you find "xposed.prop" in "system" and "XposedBridge.jar" in "system/framework"
once done reboot and try login in again.
Aroma installers are flashable zips but they give you the ability to customize the install, a bit like the typical windows installers where you can change the location of where the program is installed. You can run these in the custom recovery environment.

But i saw somewhere that xposed wasnt working with samsung stock roms . I think that s the reason why get stuck on samsung logo
You could be unfortunate that's the case for you because it was mentioned in this post here.
If you really want xposed you can try a custom rom then take the steps to flash xposed framework. This is what I have been doing for 15 months.
If you want the most stable custom rom I suggest using cyanogenmod 13, practically I have been using this for some time and rarely got any crashes.
You will need tho gapps along side because they're not included within the rom, I use Opengapps but you can choose a vaerity of gapps wether if you want all of them or ust the minamul just to have the playstore. There is an aroma installer which worked in the past for me, but no longer does for me for some strange reason. where you can choose which gapps you like installed. But I would recommend not using the armor installer as it can cause instability with the rom.
You will need to flash the gapps and rom together and you will only need to do that once providing your staying with that custom rom.

No problem
I wouldn't worry too much about aroma installers as I rarely had to use one myself. Aroma installers are part of a flashable zip file, which you would flash like an normal zip flle in your custom recovery, this video gives a good example of what you can do with one, Here >
I would recommend this rom since I found this more stable than Resurrection remix/ bliss pop/ AICP and liquid smooth, At least in my experience anyway.
However I have been testing this rom for a few day and seem pretty stable and much quicker than any other rom I tested so far!
Also in order to flash the files to install a new rom on your device you will need a custom recovery, I recommend installing this app for the latest custom recovery for the g900f

I got the same error when I had the ressurection remix ROM installed
Before flashing the ROM did you do the following?
1. Wipe data
2. Wipe cache
3. Wipe dalvik and art cache
4. Flash custom rom
5. Flash gapps
6. reboot into system.
In this order?
