I have switched from Samsung s4 mobile to G2..
Just have one quick questions about the custom roms.
In the G2 Android Development thread there are different roms... And in the also in the G2 Android Development (D802) there are roms...
I have the LG-D802 model, so I can just install the roms from the D802 thread?
And maybe a quick tip about a rom witch gives almost stock experience but no bloatware...
On my S4 I made a bloatware script deleting 180 apps/and APK files...

You can flash any rom thats for D802. no matter what forum its from.
most clean is ParanoidAndroid or CM

[Q] Kernel compatibility

Hi guys I have an LG D802, so I was wondering if I flashed a kernel that previously worked on jellybean onto kitkat will it work without any issues? From what i hear a kernel is phone/hardware specific and not android version specific. I would like your opinions on this before I do anything. Thanks

If you're on stock lg kitkat - flash lg kitkat kernel
If you're on stock lg jb - flash lg jb kernel

Thanks for that reply....well the customised kernel i have was for stock JB K4.2.2 thought it would work on cyanogen based on KK4.4

Well... aosp / cm = again aosp/cm kernel. Not stock kernel

i didnt catch up like i always do and i wanted to know if there an offical update with g3 ui, if there isn't do you recommend on installing a new rom ? which?

optimus g3 ported rom v1.4.1 or cloudyfa v2.1 rom... both are good, but i prefer cloudyfa

Nop! Just hot an update pushed to my phone the other day - nothing changed UI wise... (EU D802)
