[Q] Restoring official stock rom 5.0.1 russia as a nandroid image on i9500

Found this link to flash official stock rom 5.0.1 onto i9500 but as nandroid backup image
Can anyone tell me is it the safe method?

Its easy method if you don't have pc for flash via odin or afraid make mistake,

[Q] S5 official update to rooted device with official rom

Hi,
On my S5 (SM-G900FQ) , there is original Samsung ROM (4.4.2) , rooted but with default Recovery.
I want to update to new official rom (Lolipop) and then re-root.
What is the most easiest and convenient way to achieve this ?
I can update to Lolipop rom through Odin. But then how can I get back root easily ? (without installing CWM if possible)
If I have to install CWM, which version should I use ?

I'd appreciate any help. There are lots of threads talking about root'ing but I couldn't find the one which works for Lolipop official ROM.

Request help in selecting a compatible custom Rom.

I had to upgrade from a KitKat ROM, in which my firmware was (NC4). Since I had to flash a stock Verizon lollipop factory ROM my firmware has changed to ( N900VVRUEOF1). Does anyone know if I can flash a Custom ROM that has a different firmware ? or know of a ROM with a compatible firmware ? Thank You in advance.

Recommendation for a Kernal to use with Stock Android 5.0

Hey guys,
I'm flashing back to stock 5.0 as I 've haven't had great luck with most roms. Can someone tell me a recommended kernal I can flash with this ? I have a note n900w8 (Bell Mobility - Canada).

wrong place for your post!

Stock kernel comes with stock firmware .
if you flash another kernel you will need to flash a custom recovery and that makes it not a stock rom .

Golden eye is 5.0 lollipop and gold finger is 4.4.x kitkat made by the same developer. Yes you can flash the golden eye lollipop ROM from 4.4.4 given you're rooted and have safe strap recovery installed.
