Hope somebody is interested int his overview

it should be noted that not every sony / psn service is available in every country firmware. they locked features - also if you are in that country with the wrong firmware. see this site:

For now we don't know, but why would you want to buy it at a carrier?! buy at a private store.

Hi. I received a Samsung Galaxy S5 as a gift about a month ago, but it's missing so many features I have no idea why.
My friend has exactly the same model, yet he has so many more options. For example,
I cannot edit the options for Power Saving mode
There is NO S voice on my apps page
The Sound Recorder looks just like the one from S4 and not S5, it also has NO options either, to configure it
Cannot change several options on the Camera, such as setting the brightness. The option is there, but it's greyed out, I cannot select it
I cannot update the android version. My current version is 4.4.2 and I cannot update it. As I access the 'System Updates', it does say 'Checking for update', but after a while it just says 'Network connection failed' no matter what. The signal for internet is the strongest, as well.
If I press and hold on the Home Screen, the whole options are not coming up either, such as seeing the current running applications. It just says 'Set wallpaper for', 'Apps and widgets' and 'Folder'.
What's wrong with it? Any way I can at least get the S voice?
Your phone might have a custom ROM. Go to settings -> About and list the following information so we know what we're dealing with here:
Model name
Baseband version
Kernel version

SM-G900F is the European version of S5 and from what I see there are some discrepancies with the kernel number ...
So here is my hypothesis:
A. It has the incorrect ROM, which means flashing a 900F ROM should bring back those grayed out menus
B. It is a clone and not the real thing! Try reading some more by googling this "3.4.5 [email protected] #1 sm-g900f"
Thank you for the reply. I will ask where has the gift been specifically bought from to ponder on the "clone" thesis. I really, really hope such is not the case. Also, will it only bring back the greyed menus and ignore the 'S Voice' problem?
Regarding the 900F flash, do you think it's okay follow this guide in the attachment? (Have to do it this way cause I can't post links)
I would not try to flash anything before you're sure what you have in your hands cause if it's fake and you try to flash official Samsung rom you would be in trouble. Download Phone info Samsung from play store and check there if it's a original s5
this seems to be common specs of clone s5 phones that i am guessing need the appropriate custom rom - would anyone know if the given specs/details above would be enough to identify a specific custom rom - i have the same specs and when i did a hard reset it let loose a mass of spyware, adware, downloaded numerous playstore games and porn site links all as soon as i put the phone online - i am therefore desperate to find a clean custom rom that matches the above specs - i am hoping as doves above for an appropriate custom rom source
Hello Xda's , i recently installed a rom for my galaxy S4 called " Cm 12 Jfltexx UNOFFICIAL " and it's really buggy , now i want to revert back to the stock one ( The KitKat Stock Firmware ) , i did a quick search on the Q&A section I found different Firmwares but I don't now which one to use , thought maybe the one I choose maybe doesn't read my sim Card note that i'm using it in Algeria and my Kernel and phone Specs are in the attachement below .

Wipe the pictures, as they aren't useful. In the case of the one with your IMEI on it, it needs to be removed unless you want your IMEI cloned. In the meantime, please provide the following information, even if it may not appear to be useful.
1. Model Number
2. Android Version, found by going to Settings > More > About device.
3. Firmware Version (AP, CP, CSC), found by dialing *#1234# in the dialer or by installing Phone Info from the Play Store and running it.
4. Service Provider
5. Country
6. Is the phone rooted? (Yes/No)
7. Is a custom ROM installed? (Yes/No, and the name of the ROM)

i don't know why i uploaded the photo of my emei number !! Stupid !! well i think phone Infos are on the fist one !!
If they were I wouldn't be asking for them.
I publish this if it is useful to someone. The same is something already, but I have not found .
I tried to place the post on "Original android development", but I could not.
I own a Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 and yesterday I installed CyanogenMod 13. It works great, but lost the network signal very often and got an error when trying to get a list of available operators: Settings -> mobile networks -> network operators. After searching a while the "error while searching for networks" is obtained and no operators are shown.
Looking at jira.cyanogenmod.org saw it was a common mistake and solved by modifying a line of build.prop file, namely :
"ro.ril.telephony.mqanelements"
Looking for that line, I had the value 6 ( ro.ril.telephony.mqanelements = 6), and I changed it to 4.
and... works.
I do not lose coverage and get a list of all available operators (very useful if you're at Yoigo and want to manually select the Movistar network in places where Yoigo is not covered) and I can select the desired.
A thousand pardons if someone had already published some of this.
Ah!, and apologies for my bad English.
A greeting.
Samsung Galaxy J7
I'm facing the same issue in J7
Could you please explain how can I change this value?
I'm newbie.
Solved my problem
Thank you, resolve my problem
i am using the latest CM on i9505 and it has by default this value (4) but still i face this problem ... now what i have to do ?

Just Google SIM unlock galaxy s8 there's tons of sites out there. Prices vary from one site to the next. Once you've got your code enter this in dialer app #7465625*638*# you'll get this screen. Doing it this way you won't need another SIM card to unlock your phone just input your code and hit okay

Hiya did this on my S8 yesterday and works -
1. Download Shortcut Master from app store (Light version works, but it's a great app, support the dev if you can)
2. Open the app and go to the menu (three dot's top right) and select app explorer
3. Scroll down to IMS Settings and select it.
4. Scroll down to ImsSettingsLauncherActivity (last item on my list) select it and hit launch.
5. Select IMS Service Switch and under that turn on everything on that screen. (For me most things (especially RCS items) were disabled by default, but when I looked at a friends S8+ settings they were all on so I tried that and all works now.)
6. Make video calls!

Unfortunately, i have Bad news of this VoLTE enable instruction.
From latest G955F Oreo (Android 8.0) update, (G950FXXU1CRAP)
Samsung blocked ImsSetting activity like below screenshot. It need to additional system or Super user permission.
I don't understand why Samsung block this activity. Its very useful UI activity for us.
We should find another method for enable Volte related function.
