Today Sony has rolled out Z2 (D6503 and D6502) official lollipop firmware.
I expect that Sony will fix all the issue of Baltic and Nordic Lollipop, but...
Official firmware still has some bugs. Also, they have something new.
Changes.
Close all button (Maybe Sony dev has taken from Niaboc ))
New position of 3G, 4G data connection.
NFC icon in status bar

Bugs:
X-Reality and SuperVivid still not work.
Keyboard bugs, can not enter to a new row while typing.
"No Service" on status bar everytime I reset my phone.
Finding.
Ultra Stamina Mode reenables disabled apps. ( D6503 - Baltic 23.1.A.0.690 )

Maybe you should try today's official firmware and report whether they fix it or not.
I think the "No Service" bug doesn't happen if you use LTE (I might be wrong, though)
The Low Battery warning is back (IIRC there's no warning in the Baltic ROM)

I use D6502 HSPA+ model with official Android L from Sony, "No Service" bug still there.
As for broken X-reality and X-Vivid, do u have unlocked bootloader or not?

Locked bootloader.
X-Reality and Super Vivid don't work in Album (sony still "forgot" to include the necessary files), but they work in Video/Movies.

Yes. I have D6503. The bug happened too if I set my connection to 3G/HSPA+
But if I set it to 4G/LTE, there's no bug, even after restarting the phone.

Yeah, I'm aware about that, but there were diff replies about the problem, some people didn't have it at all. I hoped Sony to fix bugs from Baltic rom, what was the point to postpone the update than?

They are too busy with other models I think.
D6603, D6653, Z3 Dual, Z1 C6903 - C6902, Z1c, Z Ultra, C3, T2 Ultra bla bla.
Maybe we have to wait for months to get bug-free update.

how do you get the "close all apps" function? i got the newest rom but not this option?
Yes i also cant find the close all button in recent apps :crying:, my device is D6503 and just now updated to L
asking
I have a D6502 and just have update notification today, i'm in France. Anyone of you guys have battery drain problem? I heart about it a lot but not sure if my phone have that or not. Any suggestion for me plZ, should i upgrade nkw or wait sth like 5.1? I'm totally new in Androids things. Thanks!
Even I do not see Close all button on recent screen. My model is D6503 and I am using customized DE.
The close all button doesn't appear for all regions. This is not the first time Sony does this, god knows why though. On the customised french firmware, the button isn't there unfortunately. Same goes for the NFC icon, some regions have it enabled by default (mine is) and some don't. Sony's also always done that for no particular reason. In any case those 2 things can't really be considered as bugs.
I've never had the "no service bug" but I also use LTE so that may be the reason why.
The only noticeable bug is the Xreality/super vivid bug that will likely be fixed by sony in the next update (hopefully). I guess that's the reason Vodaphone hasn't approved of this firmware in certain regions
May I know which region has Close all button with Nfc icon?
I have one bug, when I move some app to SD Card and I applied some update from that app, disappear when I reboot my device

Those who got update notification,
Take a backup of all important data like contacts, call logs, SMSs, apps, APN and other settings before proceeding further. You may have to perform a clean install of your OS. While for all practical purposes, using Flashtool is safe but there is a very very remote chance of damaging your phone and don’t blame me should it happen.
For flashtool-Link
1. Install Sony PC Companion and/or SEUS. This will copy the necessary drivers to your PC. Connect your phone with USB Debugging enabled and allow your PC to install the necessary drivers.
2. Connect your phone and update or repair your phone with the latest firmware version (right now 14.1.G.1.534). If you update/upgrade, your data will be preserved. If you repair, all data may be lost. So backup everything. Now, your phone is updated with the latest firmware. Keep it aside. We don’t need your phone anymore to create the ftf file.
3. Go toC:\ProgramData\Sony Ericsson\Update Engine\db\13740270\blob_fs folder and look for the biggest three files. The folder “blob_fs” may be located in a different place depending on whether you used PC Companion or SEUS. Perform a search for that folder if you can’t find it. Once you are inside the folder, sort by size and see the 3 largest files were just created (when you updated/repaired your phone). Copy them to somewhere else like D:\firmware.
4. Install Flashtool and open it.
5. Click Advanced > Decrypt Files.
6. Select all the three files and click the right arrow to send them to the right side and click OK. In a moment, you will see a Flashtool pop up window that shows all the decrypted files. Select all and click the right arrow button.
7. Type in the device name next to Device, firmware version number next to Version, and branding next to Branding and click OK.
8. In the Device Selection window that appears, select xperia Z1 and click OK.
9. In a moment, your ftf file will be there in the default Flashtool folder C:\Flashtool\Firmwares
10. Upload it and post the link so that everyone can use it..

Backed up my firmware before debranding to generic UK.
Issue is backup is nowhere to be found!!! I checked it was there before I flashed the generic to be sure I had a fallback....but looking for it now, GONE! Weird...

I wonder why they are pushing out so many updates in such a short time. Is there something really wrong that needs to be fixed?
I'm going to order my Z1 soon and I'm afraid if I should install the latest update if it's available or should I wait as I don't want to risk to not have root access? I need it for backup and restore and a couple of apps like Greenify...

Yup nothing on the unlocked UK LTE Z1! They really need to update it! Its a great shame since the branded ones already have the updates!
New firmware version 17.1.1.A.0.438 certified yesterday for d6503-Z2 looks like only minor change/bugfix... According to 402-438 or maybe an operator release/update?

Sell it and buy one with unlockable bootloader. All branded phones that rely on updates from providers will only get major updates and support stops almost always way earlier then the support from sony.

You can flash any Xperia device with flashtool.
He just need to download latest flashtool (v.16) and latest firmware (German or UK generic).

I doubt so, 4.4.3 builds should have a different build number, unrelated to 4.4.2. I rather Sony takes their time to make their firmware right instead of rushing out crappy updates to beat the other manufacturers. I feel thats whats been happening to samsung lately. Theres just no consistency in the reliability of their updates anymore.

The launching date of z4 have been delayed. Sony updates are very slow as after z2 they haven't update. The main drawback of z4 is Non-removable battery device, iIt doesn’t support Dual-sim and Battery capacity is very poor and it will drain fast.

Is there already a possibility of rooting/unlocking the phone?
I got my Z3+ world version yesterday... I like to root as soon as possible...
I find some problems with taking pictures under water... The phone starts doing crazy things as the water seems to activate the touchscreen in a strange way... When taking the phone out of the water, the touchscreen only can be reactivated after putting the phone in stand-by first...
Also the first time I wanted to shoot a picture, the app crashed right away stating that the phone was overheating...
Will contact SonyNL and T-Mobile for this, as I'm not really happy at the moment...

HOW TO ROOT:
First one should get root on an old firmware with @ZyZ tool.
Install Dual boot recovery.
Use latest .77 fw ftf *to create a pre-rooted firmware. You can use PRFCreator tool for this.
Get the pre-rooted firmware flashable.zip in your phone’s internal memory.
Now reboot into TWRP recovery by opening NDR Utils app
Flash the pre-rooted firmware.
Switch off the device. No need to reboot.
Now open the FlashTool and flash .77 fw – Excluding System.
Done

This won't work. The "old" firmware is usually KitKat, which we don't have on the Z3+. And NUT's dual recovery does not currently support Z3+.

Z5C(5823)
Z5P(6853)
Maybe released in the following days for other items...
Has anyone else noticed double tap to wake is working correctly in this update? After testing it out this weekend, I haven't had the screen accidentally turn on while it has been in my pocket.
I have just updated and i can say that phone is smoother and there is no more lag when you try to view picture that you have taken inside camera app it shows it almost immediately also launching camera app is faster for me and photos are taken faster and with less noise in night.
Thats the things that i noticed from my view on my z5p a guess it the same things for z5.
Also mobile data icon is now separate from signal icon
I'm gonna sound stupid , but I need to ask any way. Where can I get the FTF file ? I just got mine today , it's a carrier bloated version I need to install the stock one. Thank you in advance.

Your carrier one is still stock. So what you mean you want a cleaner stock ftf, which will change the carrier or even the region.
Here is a list of latest ftfs, assuming you have Z5.

Or download XperiFirm.

Thank you!
Yesterday the update notification disappeared, now it says I'm up to date. I didn't install this update, still at .305.
Anyone else?

Probably because they will update to Nougat very soon
Probably minor bug/performance fixes, no changelog. Only Norway market version at the moment.

I think it is carrier specific - Telenor Mobil for Norway only. No other retail model update released so far.
Anyone tried it??

Nope # I also thought the same!! But there has been an indication that we will see an update!! It might be. 378!! devices with 6.0 when connected to xpc it was kept showing that they already had the latest software.. AND if devices with 7.0 chose to perform a software repair on xpc.. MM version will be shown to users!! This indicates that they PULLED OFF THE UPDATE AGAIN

Lol, the Xperia companion thing doesn't always show the latest firmware. Check xperifirm. It's still there.

I am on Nougat (.376 ) update, heat is same as Mashmallow. Only taste of Nougat and still some bugs like ringer not working some time (need to restart ohone to over come issue)
Don't expect less heat as it isthe issue with SD 810 CPU issue, Just think of smooth working only
normally how much time we can record 1080 video. and what about photography

Never checked, may around 1 hour.
Maybe it has something to do with Norway switch from FM radio to digital radio completely.
I'm on MM, still on MM... ...see the bugs and problems of performance due to quad core limits on the Nougat firmware, I prefer remain on MM.
But, it's true a 378 version? Or is just a carrier version? Changelog?
I'm intersting if Sony decided that .376 is the last Nougat for out device...because in that case, I'm still on MM because too many problems with Nougat...

You misunderstood me.
I have a z3 plus that is just nougat.
But a piece of s### Nougat, so I remain on MM.
I mean if there is really a new nougat firmware 378 by Sony, or this version it's only carrier version, so for now nougat on z3 plus is 376 version.
Because, in that case, I still on MM.
