Here is a zip that can be flashed on the HTC one m8 that permits international Roms to be used on the t mobile variant that enables WiFi calling. Posting here if some devs would like to take a look at it and see possibly what files are enabling it in android.
DO NOT FLASH THIS THINKING IT WILL WORK AS IS. IT WILL NOT.

T-Mobile is actually working on this and will be releasing it, probably as a "download based on SIM card, similar to how they have it download the T-Mobile Account app :good:

T-Mobile has been saying this since November. Seems everything for WiFi calling would be in this. But also seems no devs want too take time to decipher this.

First, it wasn't a "hack" it was an option that they forgot to remove. They removed it with the 4.2.2 update because it violates the FCC regulations. They can't use the LTE Band 4 without having tested it for interference with other devices, applications, etc.
You can re-add the option by flashing the 2.0.1700.33 radio after you've installed the 4.2.2 update.

Recently went to a yard sale and found a Nexus S for sale $5 Guy said his kid messed it up that it didn't turn on. I thought to my self what the heck and bought it when I got home I went on XDA. It was a simple thing all I had to do was access boot screen and do a reset. Working great..
But now i have a question to any who read this. Now so far all I know is that is Sprint Nexus S but I see there is also a 4g I know its a dumb question but where would I find it. Now my new mission for the week is finding out before I start flashing Roms. So far I have a Galaxy 2, a Nexus S, hopefully soon Galaxy 4 and the phone that started my addition Galaxy S Captivate.
Any one have any good ROM,apps, and kernal recommendations would appreciate.

Why don't you go into system settings, about phone will tell you the phone model. I doubt flashing wrong one will jack it up though, just wont boot. The ns4g is CDMA network and ns is gsm, other than that very similar.

First off, not sure if this is in the right section but if its not please mods feel free to move. Also if this in anyway violates forum rules please remove.
With that said, as the title implies I need help from someone that fits the description of the title. Why? Long story, but I'll try summarizing it.
I bought a use nexus, everything works and its in perfect condition. Except that its blocked from T-Mobile. I hadn't notice this as I just recently tried activating it with them. before that I was with AT&T and everything worked perfectly. So what do I need? I would like to find someone who is willing to swap phones (same model). That only needs it for AT&T (or straight talk, etc). Like stated, phone is in perfect condition except a small scratch near the sim slot, Unlock boot loader, running Carbon ( I could put it back to stock). So please if you're willing to help me out PM me and we could work something out. Thanks.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
If its blocked from T-Mobile it was stolen and the IMEI was blacklisted. Irreversible, unless you want to illegally change the IMEI
Google is your friend there

Nice information. So is there anyway to check a used phone if it is in any blacklist?
What do mean "it's blocked by Tmobile?"
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
As in bad IMEI number, up till yesterday I had no idea T-Mobile blocked phones. My guess is that the guy who sold it to me was doing fraud, report it lost so he could get another one. Reason being is that a few days later he hit me up asking me if I wanted another one of course I had no need for it so I just disregard his message...
Anyhow, if anyone is willing to do an swap. Let me know and we could work something out.
It works perfectly for at&t or any other carrier except T-Mobile :/

My guess is no, unless you call T-Mobile and ask em about the IMEI number. So if you're planning on purchasing a use T-Mobile phone call first!

Stolen/fraud and ATT will likely block the phone soon since they started sharing their blacklist database last year.
I feel for you. I also appreciate the full disclosure. But, I think that you're most likely stuck with it. After all this is a forum full of nexus owners so you'd be hard pressed to get a someone to even swap their nexus that's on the network of their choosing for one with a questionable esn. Perhaps if you sweetened the pot(throw in some $) you'd have better luck.
With that out the way... why didn't you demand a refund from the seller? Or at least swapped for the phone he text to try to sell you? Did you even tell the seller about the fact you couldn't activate the phone?

Hey guys ive had my s4 since june 1. I wanted the active but it came out a day after my exchange period.. so anyways im meeting a girl today that want to trade her active for my s4 becuase she want the camera and doesnt want the bottom buttons like on the active. So im just wondering if its worth the trade becuase I read I cant flash roms on the active and im a flashaholic. But yet again we can still root and I need the ruggedness. Ive gone through 5 phones since august (paid full price no insurace/replacement crap) so whats your guys' opinion. Yay or nay?
Thanks a bunch,

What firmware is your phone on, if it's mf3 you can't flash anyway. If it's mdl, I wouldn't care how cute she is. Just saying.

Today I tested both S4 and S4 active, both on the same carrier S4 had 5-11 dB higher signal reception. Meaning there are some places (not very often) that active won't have reception but regular S4 has.
Also, you noted the developer options that you can't put a custom rom too.
Overall, I don't know they come close to each other having these 2 important disadvantages.
But I like the look of blue active better.

Great question. I'm curious of the same thing. I've used Google voice for voicemail previously while running AOSP Roms, but I find it unreliable. The messages never played through all the way. I was actually hoping that the sprint voicemail app would work or be able to be ported.
I use Google voice. It fully integrates with Sprint during set up and other than the initial bug mentioned before, it has worked perfectly for me.

I've been pleasantly surprised with this phone on Sprint. I was ready to switch carriers because my HTC One could rarely get a signal and forget about LTE. However, this phone has superb signal and has been great on the network.

We really need that visual voicemail app. We are paying for service. They need to make it available to everyone either thru Google play store or thru their website. Every time you go to Sprint's forums on their website and ask about VV they recommend using 3rd party app. Very disappointed at Sprint and their lack of effort and care to provide the app for nexus devices. Every other carrier like T-Mobile, at&t and Verizon have their VV app in the Google play store. I tried using the VV , it provisions successfully but voicemail messages do not show up.
Personally, I like the Sprint Zone app but I can't find an updated apk that works correctly. I tweeted @ sprint care about it and, lol, they said it should have been pre-installed. I replied "No. It's a nexus, NOTHING is pre-installed." They didn't tweet back after that.

And here I was thinking how awesome it is that this device came from Sprint with NO carrier branding or bloat (which includes Sprint Zone).
But Sprint Zone does have some useful things with in it...I just never used it personally so I'm grateful it didn't come preinstalled and, more importantly, can't be uninstalled.
