I'm having an issue with the boot time on my galaxy s4 (jfltetmo m919). When I press the power key it hangs at the Samsung Galaxy S4 splash screen (with selinux enforcing etc). It hangs on that screen for 40 to 50 seconds then it starts the boot animation. Booting then takes 20+ seconds. Why does it hang at the splash screen and can I do anything about it?
Model - SGH-M919
ROM - CM12 NIGHTLY official
Recovery - TWRP 2.8.6.0 With f2fs support

Hi, I have a problem with my galaxy s4
suddenly, the phone gets stuck on the splash screen for 3 seconds, and then reboots itself to the same screen.
The phone does not boot.
- I CANT boot into recovery mode/download mode, every time i do that, the phone restarts itself to the same splash screen: "galaxy s4 I9500".
How can I fix this problem??

A. You may have flashed the wrong rom (wrong model). If so you need to reodin (search for odin to stock).
Edit: Before you odin I would pull the battery. Allow the phone to sit for 30 min without the battery in it during that time... ENSURE the battery had enough power to odin before you try it.
B. Or You are in the wrong thread (this is for At&t and your splash screen is international model)
Flashing anything from the 9500 is a no no on the Snapdragon models man. As the guy above said you need to Odin stock rom. Since you were able to flash a rom through recovery you weren't on a locked bootloader. So Odin the amdl stock tar in the pda slot
Hi guys,
Before the boot animation (I am using temasek's ROM which has his own custom animation), there is a boot logo of
"Samsung Galaxy Note 3" in white text for a few seconds before boot animation.
Is there any documented way to change this screen? I'm merely curious. I've seen some threads for other phones about it but none for the Note 3 so if anyone has info I'd love to see it .
Thanks!

Hello,
I'm new here and new to all the android modding/flashing/etc stuff since I just transferred from iPhone 5 to Galaxy Grand Prime SM-530H
I've already done the basic rooting and flashing custom recovery and custom rom
Right now, I'm using PhilZ Touch Recovery since I can't seem to make TWRP work and I'm using Cyanogenmod 13.
Right now, The problem I have is that when I boot my phone up, right after the samsung logo where the boot animation is supposed to play, it's just black then after a while I can just press the power button to check if its already booted up. Another thing is that when I lock my device, The screen goes black but it stays on. I'm not sure if it's called the screen backlight or anything but it's the same as the black screen when my boot animation is supposed to play. This issue drains my battery so much when not in use.
I've used ResurrectionRemix custom ROM too and its the same case so I don't think its in the ROM. However, whenever I do boot my phone up, it says on the top right "Kernel is not SEAndroid. Enforcing" and whenever I boot to recovery, I get "Recovery is not SEAndroid. Enforcing". That's it.
Any help from you guys is appreciated. Thank you.
I rooted my sm-g935t and now the Samsung splash and boot animation is shown twice briefly then once a little bit longer before OS starts up. It's severely affecting my boot speed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Do you have xposed?
Mine does that with the packages from... anywhere... I show the initial splash with the CUSTOM lock on it from the days of SafeStrap... then it goes to samsung splash then reboots.. Then goes to startup then reboots... Then it could be done, or it will do it one more time at the startup... What is weird is the CUSTOM disappears and so does the unlocked lock....
I updated TWRP to 3.1.1.2 inside TWRP. The issue I encounter now is that my S8 stucks on the very first booting screen. You know the very first screen where it stated "Samsung Galaxy S8" and down below "powered by android".
I can't do anything. It's just like the phone has frozen at that state. Nothing works anymore. Even If I try to turn it off by pressing Volume down + Bixby + power button, it just restart and get stucks at the boot screen again and again. There's NO boot loop.
I'm on europe version of the Galaxy S8
stock rom and rooted (Magisk)
Got TWRP installed but after updating TWRP the phone freeze at the very first booting screen.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks for your efforts!
