Does anyone besides me experience this annoying buzzy noise during using earphones on 30a lollipop? I know this used to be an issue on kitkat and it was fixed with custom kernel, but as far as i know there is no custom lollipop stock kernel for g2 right now. The calling solution works but it's only temporary. Is there any flashable zip / custom sound engine or anything that could fix that ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
I was wondering if you have any suggestions on rom where the audio will work during calls.
I have tried stock nexus 5.0, 5.0.1, 4.4.4 and PA latest Alpha.
All of these continued to give me no audio during call.
Instead of keeping on trying roms randomly, I wanted to try something which is likely to work.
Somebody mentioned omni rom is working with audio during call, is this the general feeling?
I really like Lollipop interface and would love to have a lollipop rom if possible? Any other advice on why my audio during calls may not be working even with downgrading to 4.4.4?
Thanks
Edit: Tried OMni ROm Feb 13, 2015 Nightly; 3.4.0-perf-ge7e8c8f omnirom kernel; baseband M9615A-CEFWMAZM-2.0.1701.03
Please help because audio during calls is still not working!
Bump... plz help... I am trying my best i can with my basic skills and am looking out to the community for some guidance.
If you don't a get audio in calls on stock you have a defective device. A rom isn't going to make a difference
Sent from my Nexus 9 using XDA Free mobile app
This problem only started once lollipop build came out. And i believe it is a problem loads of people are facing... something to do wit google play... I doubt that it's a defective device issue. Also, there are times when the audio does work and audio almost always works if I put the device on speakerphone. I am puzzled though why it is not working with OMNI and stock 4.4.4... could it have something to do with radio or bootloader? Are these aspects changed when flashing from TWRP recovery?
The headphone audio on the stock rom is just terrible there is no base and even when i used dolby atmos there was no difference. The audio gets suppressed due to base. Is there any way to fix it on stock rom because i really like the stock rom of this phone. It is better than any custom roms for me. I want to stay on stock rom but this headphone audio thing is really annoying.
If anyone can tell me how to fix it plz help.
Thanks in advance ??.
Before unlocking BL, flashing twrp & custom rom my phone was working all well; but after returning to stock room my phone does not record video only images. Flashing Dolby Atmos solved my problem but I feel it's a temporary or not so real solution. I want that pure stock room feel with no bugs so someone pls help.
I posted this problem earlier but no solution so reposting. Sorry for that.
I flashed stock oreo roms on my g5 plus using fastboot and twrp methods. I also tried different versions of it (soak test 1 and october patch).
Each time I flashed the stock oreo rom, I encountered audio issues on music player apps like play music, spotify etc.
When a song played, I could hear a slight buzz as the song was playing, making it seem like the audio file has problems. Happens when I plug in headphones/use speakers.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling those apps and factory reset but nothing seems to fix this.
This does not happen with apps like youtube or the phone app, where the audio is absolutely normal. (with headphones/speakers/earpiece).
I have used custom nougat roms (stock and custom) and custom oreo roms like RR, PE and never faced such an issue with audio quality before.
Can anyone help me identify what the problem is?
please help if possible!

There's most likely no way to figure out why some apps sound normal for you and others don't. A clean flash is always a good advice, if that doesn't help it's most likely a hardware issue (of your device or your audio hardware). I flashed stock Oreo a few days ago, rooted with magisk and flashed viper4android and ainur sauron as modules. The sound is great using Poweramp, YouTube or any other source.
Hi! I have some issues with my V20
After install the SuperROM with Stereo Sound in Aroma, the speaker was distorcing so much
I have changed the mixer in /system/etc, the "tasha" file, but not makes any difference
Someone had this problem and fixed?
I changed the kernel many times after this, not maked so much difference, the more stable sound is the MK2000 kernel, but in maximum volume, keep distorcing. The speaker before the root was working so fine.

Sound hissing and distorcing

After rooting, did you upgrade with a newer KDZ using KDZwriter?
There is actually a known issue of speaker distortion with the first / earliest stock ROMs on the V20.
