I have n900 stock 4.4.4 rooted.
I just "wiped dalvik and cache in TWRP " but i think something goes wrong when i did that, because phone "Restarted TWRP" and in the log i get the message: "cant mount cache"
and "i'm now stuck in samsung logo" for hours but nothing happens and "the phone is hot as hell!".
what is going on here and what should i do?
i know that i shoud try format data but i dont know how to view my files on my computer to make a backup(backups on twrp just contain programs data, am i right?)
I try MTP mode in TWRP but nothing is showing in windows(driver issue?)

Makeyour nandroid backup with twrp directly on recovery mode!!!then wipe factory reset and reflash your stock rom with Odin.

I stupidly chose "fix permissions" on my 5.0 ROM and now my phone is stuck in a bootloop. To make matters worse, I can't sideload anything with TWRP because when I do "adb devices", the device status shows up as "device", not "recovery". And when I go to sideload, the status is still "device" and not "sideload". Is there anything I can do? I don't have any ROMs on my phone anymore so my only option is to sideload/push through TWRP.
Edit: So I realized that when in TWRP, the phone was in the USB MTP mode. I managed to copy my ROM to the phone. I did a system, cache, and Dalvik wipe, and installed the ROM. However, it still doesn't boot. I end up at the DemiGod Crash Handler every time I boot it.
Edit 2: Wiping everything and flashing again fixed the phone!
I have no USB storage when in TWRP, hence i can't wipe/flash/restore....here is how i got where I am!
Started with my bone stock OPT 64GB on Oxygen 2.1.1.
in developer options i enabled boot loader unlock
unlocked my boot loader [fastboot oem unlock]
restarted into tarp and installed SuperSU
wiped and factory reset, rebooted and setup and all is well....except...
I decided to factory reset again about 20 minutes later and all wipes failed. So i can not factory reset.
downloaded the factory signed zip to my usbstorage and rebooted into tarp, but there is no usb...no mounts. I though well mount it, but sorry, nothing to mount...
So it appears I have lot my mount points.
I was really hoping that OnePlus had posted a big archive of there OS with an install.bat file, but i can't find it.
Anyone know where its hiding>??
(i will edit this as i get more info together)
You guy and gals all rock.
unable to mount anything at /data
so i can't wipe Dalvik or Cache or Data
Heeelp
I tried to install Cataclysm ROM, and then it went into some sort of installer, after that I tried to reboot, but TWRP said it didn't have any OS?? So i tried to boot it up anyway? but nothing, just stucked on Google Logo. After that I tried to boot into TRWP agian. But then TWRP says "Mount Decrypt Data" and then i have to enter a password?? but i removed my pattern lock before flashing. Because i made a Nandroid and i read i had to remove the password before making a backup. But then i just press cancel. Then it says " Unmodified System Partition" "Swipe to Allow Modifications" and i do that. Now i have nothing on my SD card?? Then i thought i could flash stock through Fastboot/ADB, but now it won't see my device in ADB? I have updated my drivers, both by Google and Intel (Read they helped someone else) But nothing? so i cant retutn to stock and can't boot up.
Please help, highly appreciated
Some how i got i to reboot by an ADB command and then i could flash factory imgs and return to stock.
That very same thing happened to me the 1st time I tried to install Cataclysm. Somehow my SD card got wiped.
I had to start from scratch with the factory image.
I don't know what happened but I have since successfully installed Cataclysm.
Hey, I have an lg g2 and when I was updating it to cyanogen mod 13.0 marshmallow from cloudy g3 kitkat rom. It got stuck after intalling D802 patch file and now I am not able to wipe the data. When I select wipe option in the recovery mode and select options(dalvik cache, data, cache, system) and try to wipe, it show a message that "invalid options are selected" and wipe doesn't happen. After that I tried to restart my phone but the fastboot mode starts automatically and now I got stuck here...
Please help!!!!

Hi all,
I'm trying to back stock up I have booted to twrp 3.2.1.1 with encryption supported and that always hangs at "updating partition details" and after reading and reading it's the twrp that's at fault.
So I wiped the phone again from within settings and then try to boot official twrp 3.2.1. and It just hangs on the splash screen.
So I thought it's not fully wiped, no problems so tried to format in fastboot.
"Fastboot format userdata"
but this gives me
"formatting is not supported for filesystem with type raw"
So now I'm stuck on what to try next.
Right I wiped in stock recovery and got twrp official to start a backup but again it's hanging on updating partition details.
Looks like just I have this problem?
Follow this tutorial till you reach the point of flashing:

It doesn't mention backing it up, and that's when my problem of it hanging starts.
I've booted to twrp many times and always hangs on "updating partition details."
Only thing I haven't done is actually reboot twrp by tapping reboot recovery in twrp.
Would that make the difference before I wipe it yet again?
