Would really like to try but my g2 is my daily driver. Anybody else brave enough to try this out? I can test battery and performance later once I know I won't brick my baby on first try.

Actually im using cyanogenmod 12. Can i flash this ROM with no problems? Thanks
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Free mobile app

Mirror please !!! I can not download this file.

Selinux
Selinux to delete the lteconfigs.apk didnt work for me but I did find a work around. Just move the lteconfigs folder from /system/app/ to sdcard and delete from there. Problem solved.

Where that follows eur v30d or v30a?
Thanx

What is the difference between 30a and 30d version? Thanx

hello someone can upload v30a boot.img for me please?

Do i have to have root to flash a rom
Im a noob never tinkered with root but i want lollipop so do i need to have root to flash this

[Q] Can I use it?
Can I use it on D802 16 GB 6MP/TMN version?

Currently im on cloudys g3 2.2 with latest philz recovery. Right way should be to Flash twrp bump than Flash this Rom? Anything more? Read about this f2fs thing.its a must have thing or can be?

Version compatibility question
Has anyone tried flashing this on the D805 version of the g2? Would there be any issues?

Just get the kdz and flash it via flash tool then. Or even try updating via PC suite.

It was easy. As long as you can sacrifice your data inside the phone.( if you willing to manually backup, it will be fine later)
1. Downgrade D802 using Flash tools 2014 to version D80220C or other KK version (CSE mode)
2. Root your phone and install Autorec. Download latest Twrp 2.8.6.1 put it inside download folder
3. Reboot into recovery using Autorec. Then go to download folder, Flash TWRP 2.8.6.1 on recovery.
4. Now reboot to recovery, you will be in 2.8.6.1 not 2.7.0.0 version
4. Clear/wipe system, cache, dalvik, and data. Flash the lollipop Rom from this thread.
5. Viola! All done without bootloop.

No 3.1 yet, i'm waiting some feedback before
For now, the only problem is the additionnal apps : not deleted if you unchecked these in the aroma (but you can delete it after, like an usual app from the playstore)
But i only have a D802, i made all tests on my own device so i cant to test the multi version
If you have a 802, you can flash without problem, you just need to flash the baseband before the rom if you come from a 4.2 firm, the kitkat-fix before the rom if you come from a 5.0 firm, or just the rom if you are already on a 4.4 firm

Since upgrading to 1.0.1 I now have the same bug I had on Grolla/SimpleRom where, if I'm on 3G, I don't have any signal bars. but on LTE and EDGE I do.
What changed between 1.0.1 and 1.0 that could cause this?
I did a no-data-wipe update (Wiped System, Cache and Dalvik) from Grolla to 1.0, then 1.0 to 1.0.1 and I have had no problems other than the signal bar vanishing (all grey) on 1.0.1 after it had reappeared on 1.0 from Grolla
If you need more info, let me know.
My mistake I forgot packaging modem in 1.0.1 you have to flash SRKROM_1.0.1_Fixed_MODEM before or after flash 1.0.1
Good rom. Keep it up dude.

Found strange process when was exploring apps - *moneta* !?
Moneta from russian translate - coin. I think it's not native android or lg app or process, what does it for?
It's located at system\app\l001f00002\l001f00002.apk
Name: moneta
Version: 1.0
Name of package: com.skf.l001f00002

Even with the flashed modem, I don't have signal bars.
Checking with an app like Advanced Signal Status I still had an actual signal.
However, after performing a hot-reboot the signal bars have returned.
Keep up the fantastic work!

[Q] S5 Active Advice required please

Hi Folks
My partner has just got the S5 Active and she loves it..
But now she would like to update from 4.4.2.. Phone says she has latest rom so my questions are this
1)What is the latest official rom for the Active?
2)Whats the BEST root method?
3)What Custom roms are suitable?
3)Finally what is the best route to take to flash a CUSTOM rom?
looking forward to your responses
regards
Lohtse
1) Here you can find the latest TW stock rom:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Android Lollipop is available for the S5 Active. You can download the latest Firmware and flash it via Odin. You don't need root for that.
2) My preferred root method is flashing CF auto root via Odin. After that I install another recovery like TWRP
3) Nobody can answer that. Try and find it out (perform a full wipe incl cache before you install a custom rom)
4) This steps: root, recovery, full wipe, custom rom, and at least if you want and need that: custom kernel

Thank you for the help...
finally got it sorted after reading around 9-10 different guides... all of which had little bits missing
now she's a happy bunny with LP on her Active and I'm a tired old fart with droopy eyes!!!!!
Just need a custom recovery now!!
Congratulations! How you solved it?
Yeah recovery is the same problem. It exists no recovery for the G870A
Two things that I found that allowed me to sort the Active which was mentioned
firstly to allow Flashfire to work you had too set clock back past 1/15/15
and you had to also set flashfire to boot into download to allow you to flash the G870A_OC5_Bootloader.tar.md5 file via Odin on the pc.. once I did these it worked...
Just depends which guide you read to find a COMPLETE one....
Damn that sounds very tricky
Solvin said:

Not really just no two guides the same.... soon as I noticed the minor differences it was easy.
1) root with towel root copy stock LP(rooted version)
2) Install and set date to 1/1/15 then open Flashfire
3)Flash Stock rooted LP using flashfire making sure you have flashfire set to boot to download when finished
4) open Odin PC and connect S5Active
5)Point Opins AP slot to location of the G870A_OC5_Bootloader.tar.md5 file
6) Flash and reboot and your done...
MAJOR issue was the flashfire issue once found issue and set it as stated above I was Up and running after 10minutes Just had spent 4 hours failing before I notice and figured out what the issues was...
Simple really.... Well it was in the end lol

G2 Noob needs some questions answered

Ok, noob to G2, but not android. I upgraded my wife to a Note 5(trust me, I tried to get her on the Nexus 6, but no go) in return, I got her old G2. I have rooted and installed numerous ROMs on my Asus ME301T Tablet so I am familiar with that process and adb. I want to root, flash TWRP and some custom ROMs to my 'new' phone. Right now current specs are; stock, stock, stock. 801, 30c nothing else. My understanding of flashing ROMs for the G2 is as follows
Root with one click v1.3
flashify TWRP 2.8.0.3
Back up stock rom and move back up off phone
Flash my rom of choice
Flash my GAPPs of choice
wipe cache and dalvik
reboot and enjoy
I am confused with the whole bootstack thingie. Do I need a bootstack? Some ROMs say no, others it would appear need it. If I need a bootstack, how do I know. I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me. thanks Oh by the way, posted this in the T-Mobile LG G2 general section, but this room seems more active
Mmmm it depends. You want to install rom based on Stock or Aosp? If is Aosp you would need bootstacks but if is custom rom based on Stock you only need to wipe and install.
Enviado desde mi LG-D802 mediante Tapatalk
Thanks, that clears things up. So a CM or Omni based ROM will need the KK bootstack right?
Thanks also for the rapid response.
Sorry too for cluttering up the wrong section with my questions. Mods, feel free to delete or move.

It depends on the rom, im going to talk about cm12.1 (custom roms with android 5.1.1). For those roms that says "CAF" in the tittle you need the lp bootstack (https://github.com/lg-devs/bootstacks), if it doesn't say "CAF" is because the op forgot to write it or because the dev didnt use caf to build the rom.
If im not wrong every dev is building using CAF, but in the first page of the post do CTRL + F "bootstack" and you will find what you need.
So if is aosp 5.1.1 you will need lp boostack, not KK.
If you want to flash Cloudy's G2 3.3, the thing change, in order to FLASH it you need to already be on stock Lollipop, its like the DEV (Cloudy) forgot to add the bootstack, if im not wrong, that was fixed in all the other stock roms that are available, so you just flash it and thats it. (just in case flash kk bootstack)
This is the wrong section buddy.
Wrong section....when you can write such a long story and ask help...you can keep the forum rules in mind too
Post in the right section
And I realized that after I posted. Notice that I apologized and asked the mods to move it.
Aosp 5.1.1 and 6.x.x rom need bumped lp bootstack
Stock based 5.0.2 Install any kk or lp bootstack
Cm and rr rom only need loki bootstack for some dovice
Kk aosp need jb bootstack and kk modem
Kk based rom need kk bootstack and modem
Always better to use bumped recovery

1. I want to root it, is this thread ok ? >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699648
2. I want to ask if there is stock rooted marshmallow ? and if there is, should I OTA and then root, or some other way ?
question number 2 is unanswerable using search. both XDA search and google. You only get tangled in unneeded information and chaos. Please help me as I have lost 2 hours clicking links that I dont need ..
1.) Recommended way to root is to flash TWRP 3.0.2.0 (Custom recovery), then flash SuperSU from TWRP
You can also try flashing CF Auto Root with ODIN 3.10.7
http://download.chainfire.eu/397/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltexx-smg900f.zip
But that doesn't always work and can cause a soft brick, needing the stock ROM flashed again to fix
Or if you don't want to trip KNOX, downgrade to KitKat, root with an app called TowelRoot, then upgrade using an app called FlashFire iirc
2.) No, you need to root Marshmallow yourself, using the TWRP & SuperSU method
You can OTA upgrade to Marshmallow, Flash TWRP 3.0.2.0, then Flash SuperSU Systemless 2.72 beta (Or whichever beta is the latest atm)
If you're not bothered about KNOX, just flash TWRP and SuperSU
You can download the latest MarshMallow stock ROM for the G900F using a tool called SamFirm
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647
Flash with ODIN
Ok, found out some other stuff in the meantime
1. I obviously dont have OTA option, and now I see that the version people flash via odin is not official, but Shri Lanka .. ? is there an actual oficial international version of 6.0 ?
2. I started following mega-thread for S5 and downloaded ODIN and started downloading CWM but I guess I should listen to you - I would root it with TWRP, I mean the version I am on now
I will wait for better reactions for 6.0 as I have read a lot of 6.0 feedback thread and people are complaining .. maybe noobs, but still.
thanks again man, you simplified it for me
will report once I root current version
If you are stock (Not rooted or custom recovery) you have OTA option
Otherwise set SamFirm tool up like this, and you'll get the United Kingdom Unbranded 6.0.1 (Change the region to whichever one you want)

I've been running 6.0.1 for a while now on my G900F, and I get better battery life (6-8 hours SoT) and much better performance
Easy enough to flash back to whichever ROM you want, the G900F is unlocked
Make a nandroid backup in TWRP, then you can restore that to exactly the way the phone was when you created the backup
sorry for double posting -

I've posted twice how to get the ROM faster using that SamFirm tool
Upgrade your laptop to 7 or later
