Hi there ..
I have the note 4 N910c since 3 months now .. battery life is horrible .. I barely get 3-4 hours screen on .. when I use data network (3G) I can't get through the day until a second recharge ..
even after updating to Lolipop 5.0.1 .. at first little improvment then awful battery again ..
I uninstalled facebook, messanger, and some aps that work in back ground .. always disapleing location .. Auto Brightness ..
so, what should I do??
Same issue. N910C. Lollipop. I used Battery Doctor and found these apps running and consuming a lot of power.
Have you tried a factory reset already?
Try this

As i can see your phone has many wakelocks, i recommend a factory reset.
Thanks! Factory reset didn't stop the apps from running. I'm sure they are there for a reason, but they are consuming so much?!
Any ideas?

I recently upgraded to HTC OTA froyo update and having few problems after the update:
1. The phone gets hot when we charge it.
2. The battery drain too quickly after the update. The battery life was much better with Eclair. Im not using many third party apps and none of them that I use sync in the background.
Anyone seem to have this problem and any solution?

My Battery life is similar before and after Froyo update. Also my usage is comparable.
1 The phone should not get "hot" when charged....warm yes...about 35 degrees (or less).....you can check temp. via app like battery status.
2 Do you have battery saver installed? Try juice defender (or any other) and see if some changes in settings can improve you battery life.
Both Apps can be downloaded via android market.
3 Back-up your phone first and do a reset to factory settings. http://www.knowyourmobile.com/smart...12297/how_to_hard_reset_the_htc_wildfire.html

Agree that Froyo is efficient in killing apps/tasks. Still have advanced task killer running to do this manually when I want......no crashes or clashes sofar...
Does a task killer have a (noticable) effect on battery life? See this thread....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898410
HTC wildfire battery life reduced
Dear Friends,

hi to everyone!
yup, i got the same problem too.. before the update 2 days with normal use now 22 h max with light use... and i have turned off the gps the 3g, the wifi, the autosync, i don't use any task killer and the only widgets i have are the mail and the clock. i'm kinda pissed off.. but i guess i'll have to wait like everybody else the guys to find a solution for the rooting thing..
cheers
I'm facing same issue here..
Anyone have solution how to get longer battery life?
Ave you tryed to do a factory reset afther you applied the update? It did some wonders for me..
ErwinP
U mean factory reset which will erase all our data will help to pro long the life of battery?
well, i have .. sort of.. sorted it out. actually the thing draining the battery is the data mobile network. first i tried to block all the syncs and all the apps that were trying to connect to the data network, but no luck, the battery was still short, staying alive around 12h. then one day i noticed that with all the syncs off my wildfire was buzzing as hell on the speakers of my pc; a constant rattling like it would if i was making a call. soo, the only thing left to do was keep the power button down and turn the mobile data off. now i'm costantly on wifi but the battery can easily do 48 hours with normal use.
I dont know what they've done with the new radio or froyo itself , but they f***** it up pretty badly.
sorry for my english

The latest update has improved battery life...
Sent from my SM-G900H using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
1 install Android Assistant, search for it on Google play
2 check what apps are using the most Cpu time
3 decide what you need and what you can uninstall (careful).
Mind you, some apps may not appear in the list and be often using cpu time anyway.
In addition, try the app 'Greenify', it can help a lot in saving cpu time and energy, if you learn how to.use it.
Also (only for rooted devices) use Autorun manager or a similar app to select apps you want to prevent from starting at boot.
Hi
I will try tht thanks.
When i look with gsam the android(os kernel) is at 82%!
i think that causes the battery drain right now but dont know how to fix it
Hello
Right now i have this when i got it of the charger. and i didnt do anything with the screen so its less that one minute of screen on time.
I think its pretty bad

I had this same issue. Mine was overheating when i used any app and sucking up battery life like crazy. Yesterday I did a factory reset, reloaded my apps, and installed the latest firmware update (NF6). So far everything seems to be back to normal. No more overheating and no extreme battery use/drain.
oh ok.
I only have the battery drain but no overheating yet
But isnt it to quick to putt it back in factory reset since i only have it for like 3 days
Is there anybody else with this problem. It started monday i turned my phone on but it didn't start. The battery was 0% while i shutted it down with 78% of juice left.I charged the battery but it drains down real fast!Even with the screen off at night and no wifi or edge/3g/4g i still lose about 10% every hour!
I've used the note for two weeks without any problem.Rooted with Xposed Greenify and most of the bloatware disabled.Same setup as my Notepro 12.2 and galaxy mega(no problems with those devices).Battery life was pretty good about 5 a 6 hours of screen on time.
Tried better battery stats but no particular wakelocks or anything??I've ordered a new battery and that will arrive tomorrow.I can do a test then if it is the battery or the phone which is causing this problem.
It's a note 4 910c.
I have similar problem with my 910C...Everything was ok for first two weeks and problems started when I enabled LTE at my mobile operator. No matter what I do, I have huge battery drain like you said. I've also tried with disabling 4G/wifi/data/sync/airplane mode/removing apps... I even tried factory resetting 2-3 times and flashing stock rom via odin...Nothing helps...
I'm looking around on various note4 forums but I'm getting out of ideas...
I had an initial battery drain issue which ive managed to resolve. Took a few factory resets but for me it looked like the galaxy apps ap. Once you open it a single time it updates a few things and thats when i started to see wakelocks. Ive reset and avoided the galaxy apps completely and now wakelocks have gone. Might be a placebo but seems to work for me.
I have 2g,3g and lte enabled.
Oke i enabled 4g from the first time i used it so i don't think that is the problem.I was thinking about a factory reset but i'll wait with that untill i tested the new battery.
Will give a update tomorrow!
I had the same problem after one week of normal use. It was a hardware issue and the service center changed the phone board under warranty.
Well tried a brand new battery but still the same!Lose at least 10% every hour and i am not even touching the phone!!Sending it back for another one.
It's happened to me once but touch wood only once where I lost 70% overnight in airplane mode
Could be the media scanner? I was having media server and scanner drains until I installed a custom rom and disabled it.
Hi guys...m using the Note 4 Model SM-910F....recently I flashed the lollipop firmware using Odin that has been released in Germany....after that m facing some issues...like My Screen is most of the time awake though it is turned off and there ls no data connection...also my WiFi is sometimes on though I use Mobile Data...also from battery stats I can see that Android OS, Cell Standby and Android System is eating out huge chunk of the battery which was not the case on Kitkat...I did a factory reset after flashing the lollipop rom...I also did a factory reset yesterday...but I think due to these my battery life has substantially decreased...can u guys help me out with this????
Hi,
Not sure if this is in the right section so admin please feel free to move.
Ive googled my problem and had a bit of a read but dont really get any solutions.
Ive noticed a serious battery drain since upgrading to 6.0.1 - maybe it happened on the previous version however ive just seemed to have noticed it more since i did the update.
My battery doesnt last very long. It will show 100% in the morning. If i dont use it, it can go down to about 80% within an hour or so. If i do use it then im using apps like gmail, whatsapp / sms, short phone calls, some other apps but im not on them for very long. I normally close all apps that are running in the background.
This morning it was 100%, ive used it as described above and its on 57% and its not even dinner time yet...
Ive checked the battery usage and top of the list is " Cell standby" with 48% usage showing power used is 1530mah - which is alot. The next is "my data manager" (an app to manage data usage) showing power used is 485mah (alot less!). Ive attached a screen shot.
Ive also noticed that once the battery gets to around 30% it drains even faster. I find myself using power saving mode when it gets to about 20%. It still seems to drain at a similar rate. Maybe slightly slower.
Any ideas on what i can do to recover battery time without buying a new battery. There seems to be a few topics online relating to battery drain when updating to the latest android version.
Thanks

I had same battery drain issues when i updated from lollipop to Marshmallow but after doing factory reset everything is better then lollipop and doze feature in 6.0.1 works very well. I leave my phone at night about 9 hours and not drain even 2% battery and i got 5 hours scrern on time .
try factory reset+wipe cache from recovery and use atleast 3 days to doze feature work properly.if you have same drain issue then it's a bad battery.this is the only solution so far.
Battery pull?
