Negative on that - given that the post is a "found" and not updated or maintained by the OP, it will stay in general for the time being.
Has anyone trested LTE? So far I havnt got it working on any ROM besides stock. I will flash and report back
I tried it on mine and I keep getting play services FC with 2 gapps packages that in known work. What gapps are people using that work? I did a clean install coming from DU 5.1 beta with elemental
I made a short test flash and everything was OK.
Note: Vanir is still 5.0.2 >> use pls 5.0.2 gapps

Still no luck with those gapps. It has the v6.7 of play services which might be why...
For me everything runs smoothly ...
Otherwise, please try to install manually the playservice.apk
I have just tested, the old playservice.apk installed and then installed the new - everything was wonderful. See screenshots.

I got it working but google now, keep and inbox FC because of play services crashing. Everything else works fine. Does anyone know why this is happening? I tried to clear the data in the app and fresh installed everything.

Do you have gapps that match the android version? Everything crashes if you flash 5.1 gapps on a 5.0 rom.

I flashed 5.0 Gapps and made sure they were the correct ARMv8 ones that are for the Nexus 9. I tried several sets of gapps all 5.0 and still get crashes. I ended up just using DU because this ROM wasn't playing nice on my Nexus 9.

It's AOSP based using the latest tags r7 I believe.

The way AOSP is set up, it uses the same alphabet order when there are incremental builds. O comes before V, etc. V being the latest I believe.

Duh, I had a brain fart. Built from aosp. Was thinking my Samsung ways and taking a ROM and hacking it apart, not building from source.

i did, and i put the rom/gapps in the first post
Upon booting into rastapop test, it is now Encrypting, about 2 minutes to do it.
SmartcardService, CQATest, SprintDM fc
Edit: To get back to my stock backup, reflashed unencrypted boot img, reflashed twrp, and wiped dalvik and cache.

This rom is really nice. It could have its own customization menu, add they are under Display menu, but still is fine. I have some problems with gapps, so I am trying the 64bit version.
And RRO/Layers Builds from Aldy ... ? SimpleAOSP ftw !!!
Just a warning people, franco kernel and Fire Ice kernel causes system UI crash, so don't bother with those. Their g+ page says elementalx kernel is compatible, maybe I'll try that later.

I used K5. First I flashed franco and got system ui crashes. I went to recovery and flashed k5 and got the same thing. I reflashed the rom and the ui crashes went away. I figured it was the kernels doing that because people were reporting similar behaviors with other kernels on g+

I think the Stock 4.4.4 GAPPS is working perfectly fine, you should try downloading it from Firefox DownThemAll.
However, the Stock 5.1 is definitely bugged, it says it's 35 MB and error on open.

Try with TWRP. Per the FAQ section of TKruzze, "It likely means you're using CWM v6.0.4.7 Recovery, which is NOT compatible with any of our GApps packages."

How to use customized install
A good day to all. I understand PA GApps has a feature "customized install" or "selective install" in which you can select specific apps which you want to install by putting a .txt (was it? I forgot if it needed a specific extension) file on the root folder before flashing the package. I forgot how to use it. Does anyone remember how to use that feature?

Nevermind, I found what I was looking for.
PA GApps allows you to remove apps you do not want installed from an included package. For example, I want to install the stock package but then I do not want to install Google Earth or Google Now Launcher.

My favorite ROM was just released to the public in "test" form for the Pixel XL!
Dirty Unicorn's AOSP source built ROM is typically soooo stable and features tons of customization.
I imagine we'll have to wait a while for all the usual custom features to be added though .
I mean, it is the FIRST ROM to drop. And all devs are still learning 7.1.1's quirks.

I'm in the process of copying all my Titanium Backups over right now.
I haven't done any real setup yet.
To install it, I just booted to RC1 TWRP.
Did a wipe.
Installed DU.
Then without rebooting, I installed RS5 SuperSU.
EDIT:
Oops, just noticed I have no SuperSU (forgot to delete the fstab file first).
And also my TWRP is gone.
Guess I'll just re-install TWRP and then flash SuperSU.

removed a couple of the app changed the numbers (all updated 7.10.14 ???)

dont use it then not here to do timepass based on his work just added things and removed and some modded things so
and flash hito build and use that dont report stuff if you dont know what you are doing
flash both builds see the smoothness see the backup see the other improvements and then point on anyone if you are blaming someone then see yourself first buddy
based on his builds latest hito changes will be there and why would i change his things tell me that ?
How do you enable nav bar on miui? Is it not present in the ROM?

Hey brother don't do away with the global version as it was done before(Hito moved to global version for a while). Many of the users like the global version than the chinese version( including me ). So as a request that you should release a global version alongside the chinese version in the subsequent updates. Thanks!
Installed the rom as per OP's requirement installed google apps via google installer v2 but i am getting fc and crashes. Tried clearing cache and data but still the same issue also Package Installer crashes.. I am stuck please help?
