Okay, so i had a LG G2 Pre-rooted since i bought it and i unrooted it, i updated to kitkat LG UI only to realize that i am more fond of stock KitKat CM11/CarbonROM, so i flashed the d800 ATT LG G2 which(Worked before i updated to kitkat) and now it gives me a binary error while flashing, it simply gives up trying.
Binary issue: 7 [Device must be [d800/gilpa] , your device is [d800].
I'm so confused , is the KitKat Update from LG Screwing things up or?!? How do i fix this?
Thanks, and if this has been posted somewhere else, sorry..
Longstory short: Updated KITKAT OTA, Didn't like it, Downgraded back to JellyBean, Installed TWRP, AOSP don't flash...
EDIT: SOLVED: D800 Flash the updated recovery zip

you said you unrooted and update to kitkat so where are you right what version are you on and are you rooted or not and what d800 g2 are you trying to flash also have you tried flashing to stock jb(4.2.2) rooting and installing recovery then trying to install the rom?

SOLVED:
I wasn't informed that i needed to flash the TWRP 2.7.0.0 from the custom recovery installer.
I simply flashed this in the recovery and everything works now.

Hello guys,
I wanted to ask this thing
If i have a stock, rooted, firmware ( WITHOUT custom recovery, just the stock), can I install an official OTA without the risk of brick?
Yes there is no risk of brick as long as you don't have custom recovery
Sent from LG-G2 D800 on AEONFLEX 4.4.2
I had a stock untouched I9506 on LP 5.0.1 which I rooted and flashed TWRP. Can I now flash through TWRP a KitKat stock ROM?Will I have any isues?
Anyone?
Sure you can. If it doesn't work you can always revert back.
Hello, i got lg d802. How do i check if i got custom recovery or not and would it be a problem if i would try to upgrade from original kitkat to lollipop? Because i am rooted and not sure if i got a custom recovery
I am planning to revert my d800 G2 (running cloudyg2 3.3) back to stock lollipop to sell it. I tried this with another G2 and when I reverted to stock KitKat and took the lollipop OTA, the OTA bricked my phone. So obviously I'd like to avoid that this time. Do I need to flash a stock bootstack before reverting to stock or does flashing the tot revert everything anyway? Also I was coming from cm12 when the other G2 bricked, could that make a difference? Thanks guys!
If you revert to kitkat, stock bootstack must be flashed!
If u will flash tot then no need to flash any thing
