WELCOME TO THE CONSOLIDATED GAPPS THREAD!
As seen on the XDA News/Portal on March 29th, 2015!
Thanks to @MathewBrack for the feature!
Thanks to @WidowCranky for labeling this a "Gapps-tastic" thread!
Let me begin this thread by making a few things clear.
NONE of the Gapps linked in this thread are my own. I am NOT a Gapps provider, unless specifically mentioned otherwise. So if you have any problems, concerns, or doubts about the particular Gapps that you are using, post it in the respective thread(s).

This thread was created with one purpose in mind
To be a one stop source for all your Gapps needs.
This thread was started mainly due to the departure of our beloved Gapps provider, @TKruzze, whose Gapps packages were among the best there was. After he left, posts popped up everywhere about users asking where they were going to get their Gapps packages from next. This thread is intended to solve that.
ALL CREDITS TO THE GAPPS PACKAGES GO TO THE RESPECTIVE PROVIDERS.
THIS IS MERELY AN INDEX OF THEIR WORK.
This thread will contain links to Gapps packages from all over XDA and other forums in some cases, and will be given some additional information as much as possible.
To users: I suggest you ask your ROM developer about which Gapps package you are supposed to flash along with your ROM. That way you can avoid most errors. If it is not mentioned, then do a little bit of research, and try the Gapps you think is the best. This thread will be unbiased. You are allowed to recommend Gapps for your own ROM and device in the posts, but please do not ask me which is the best overall, because they all are better in their own ways.
ROM cookers and developers: Make sure you mention whose Gapps to use in your ROM thread, so the users know which Gapps to download from this thread.
There are a lot of Gapps listed in this thread. If you're looking for something from a particular provider, user the search feature in your browser (usually ctrl+f) to find the one you want easily.
I have added the Android versions that the Gapps packages were built for in the changelog. Use it. It should make it easier for you to find the one you want more easily!
I will try to keep this thread updated as much as I can, but remember that since this is NOT a Gapps provider thread, you are free to mention other Gapps packages or even upload your own, provided a considerable amount of people have tested your package, and I will add the ones you mention to the OP. But please, DO NOT kang. If you find a Gapps package by someone else, MENTION it here instead of uploading it yourself and taking credit for it.
This is a community thread. Everyone contributes! So whenever I mention the one who helped add the link to the OP, be sure to thank their post too!

Hey guys if anyone can come up with a banner for this thread, let me know.
Update: I created my own. But if anyone comes up with a better one, feel free to share it.
Update: @-Favstylez- put out a fantastic banner in post #35. Check it out and thank him! Anyone can still come up with new banners!
@Ph0z3 talks about an interesting way to keep your Gapps up to date as fast as they are pushed out. Though I have not tested this myself, have a look at it here! Note: It seems like you will need to have a base Gapps package already flashed for this to work.

What is Google Apps Minimal Edition and what makes it different from other GApps packages?
Google Apps Minimal Edition for Android 5.0.x & 5.1 is a modified, slimmed down version of the Google Apps package. The goal of these packages is to provide the smallest GApps pack possible in addition to de-bloating your custom ROM (de-bloat script offered in Add-On section). The GApps Minimal Edition only includes the absolute essentials to make everything run properly. This includes the Google Play Store, Google Play Services, and Google Contact Sync along with the necessary frameworks and libraries.

Provider: @Deltadroid (Delta Gapps)
These Gapps used to be from @Tsjoklat, but he has created a new account and moved his work to a more general location. These Gapps work for all DPI's, and are very minimal. Providing a base Gapps package and addons, this is a highly customizable Gapps package. And according to @Deltadroid, all addon packages include backup scripts to automatically restore gapps after applying ROM updates. So be sure to read through the thread and download the one you need. More information can be found in post #33 of this thread by @Deltadroid himself. The packages were mentioned by Samga, PxGold, bajatetodo, Deltadroid himself and @skeezer308 in posts #25, #29, #31, #33 and #40 respectively. Be sure to thank them too!

PA Gapps
PA GAPPS
The dedicated PA Gapps section!
IMPORTANT
Everything related to the official Gapps, including the above banner, the About PA Gapps section, and the Gapps packages linked in the official section is the work of retired PA Gapps provider @TKruzze. Under NO circumstances are the images or content used here belong to me, and will be immediately removed if requested by him. The reason I have uploaded the content from his original post is so that it will be easier for people to understand, and it is being done so with his permission according to his final post. Do not accuse me of kanging, because due credits have been given, and are re-posted with permission. That being said, I formally thank @TKruzze for his PA Gapps scripts, because without that, none of the unofficial packages would be possible.
SOMETHING ELSE THAT'S IMPORTANT
The reason for me creating a separate thread for PA Gapps is simple. Because there are starting to be many unofficial builds for it.
This post was not created to be biased towards PA Gapps. The Gapps packages linked in the OPs and throughout this thread are all very good, and I suggest you give them a try too.
I decided to create a separate post for PA Gapps due to the fact that ever since @TKruzze left, there have been a few Gapps providers that are putting out their own builds of PA Gapps with the updated APKs, though the script might remain the same. To avoid clutter of these packages, I decided to move it away from the other Gapps packages.
______________________________________________________________
About PA Gapps
The text you see here is FULLY copy pasted. I wrote nothing. This is copied and pasted from @TKruzze's original posts. I put it up here for everyone who was asking, but will be removed if @TKruzze or any mods ask me to. @TKruzze has given permission to use his work, and it is with that permission that this is being put up. All credits to him please!
Unfortunately, there is a character limit so I cannot post everything @TKruzze had in his OPs. The info below should answer most questions that you have though.

PA GAPPS PACKAGE COMPARISON
PA GAPPS ADVANCED FEATURES & OPTIONS
TKruzze said:
The features outlined below are COMPLETELY OPTIONAL and designed to allow advanced users the ability to modify the default behavior of the GApps installers. Without the use of these options, the installers will function exactly as outlined in Post #1 above.
To modify the default behavior of the GApps installer, create a text file called .gapps-config or gapps-config.txt (.gapps-config will take precedence) and place it in the same folder as the GApps zip or in /sdcard/PA-GApps (zip folder will take precedence). Once you've created the gapps-config file, simply type in the Key Word options you want from the lists below.
To perform a test installation, that will only simulate an install, add the Key Word Test to your gapps-config. The installer will perform all system space calculations and generate a detailed log pa_gapps_log.txt (in the same folder as your gapps-config), but WILL NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES to your device. This should be helpful for trying to find just the right combination of apps that will work with your particular device.
By default, the installer will generate Debug Logs - pa_gapps_debug_logs.tar.gz - a compressed file that contains a set of files to help the devs troubleshoot any problems you might experience with the install. This file can be easily attached to any post on XDA, making it easy for you to provide the devs important information to help troubleshoot any issues you're having. You will find pa_gapps_debug_logs.tar.gz in the same folder as your pa_gapps_log.txt. You may disable this feature by adding the Key Word NoDebug to your gapps-config.
You can use Presets with any GApps package. This allows you to transform any GApps package into one of its 'little brothers' by adding one of the following Key Words to your gapps-config. This will transform ALL INSTALLER BEHAVIOR (including default removals AND applications available for install) - effectively turning it into a new GApps package.
Valid Key Word options are:
FullGApps - To downsize the following package to Full Modular GApps. [Stock]
MiniGApps - To downsize any of the following packages to Mini Modular GApps. [Stock/Full]
MicroGApps - To downsize any of the following packages to Micro Modular GApps. [Stock/Full/Mini]
NanoGApps - To downsize any of the following packages to Nano Modular GApps. [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro]
PicoGApps - To downsize any of the following packages to Pico Modular GApps. [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro/Nano][HIGHLIGHT]NOTE:[/HIGHLIGHT] ALL BEHAVIOR OF THE INSTALLER WILL BE TRANSFORMED TO THE NEW PRESET, including default removals AND applications available for install.
You can choose either the apps you WANT installed (called an Include Install) or the apps you DON'T WANT installed (default behavior - called an Exclude Install). To select ONLY the apps you WANT installed, add the Key Word Include to your gapps-config file. The installer will now install ONLY THOSE APPS you have listed in your gapps-config. (Since the default behavior is an Exclude install, it is not necessary to add Exclude to your gapps-config). Stock/AOSP removals (see below) function the same whether you're doing an Include or Exclude Install.

CameraStock - To remove the Stock/AOSP Camera Application (automatically removed when Google Camera is installed)
CMAudioFX - To remove the Stock CM AudioFX Application

The information below pertains ONLY to Google Stock GApps packages.
To bypass the default removal of the Stock/AOSP apps (listed below) when using Google Stock GApps, type the Key Word option preceded by a '+' as shown below:+Browser - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP Browser [Stock ONLY]
+Email - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP Email Application [Stock ONLY]
+Gallery - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP Gallery Application [Stock ONLY]
+Launcher - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP Launcher(s) [Stock ONLY]
+MMS - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP SMS Application [Stock ONLY]
+PicoTTS - To bypass the automatic removal of the Stock/AOSP PicoTTS app [Stock ONLY]
NOTE: The installer will automatically NOT remove the Stock/AOSP application if its Google counterpart is NOT being installed. For example, if you are NOT installing Hangouts or Messenger, then the Stock MMS app will NOT automatically be removed (although you can still force its removal by adding it to your gapps-config). The same is true for Google Camera|Stock Camera, Gmail|Stock Email, Google Exchange Services|Stock Exchange Services, Google Keyboard|Stock Keyboard, Google+(Photos)|Stock Gallery, Google Now Launcher|Stock Launcher, GoogleTTS|PicoTTS, and Google Calendar|Stock Calendar.
You can add notes or comments to your gapps-config using a #. Anything following a # will be ignored until the end of that line.
For example:
The line below would be completely ignored
# Exclude Search
While the line below would process the first Search Key Word (since it appeared BEFORE the '#')
Search # Exclude Search
"Protection from Stupidity" is built into the GApps Installer. To prevent you from accidentally leaving yourself with no keyboard, Launcher, or MMS app when you start your device, the installer WILL NOT ALLOW you to remove the Stock/AOSP Keyboard, Launcher, or MMS app if you are not also installing a Google version of these apps. You can, however, override this protection by adding the Key Word Override to your gapps-config. Be very careful when using this option and make certain you have a replacement app already installed on your device before using this option.
[HIGHLIGHT]Note:[/HIGHLIGHT] Case, order, spaces, or using separate lines does not matter when using gapps-config.

Unofficial PA Gapps
---
ATTENTION UNOFFICIAL PA GAPPS BUILDERS!
@jawz101 has put up an informative post that unofficial builders might find helpful. I encourage you to take look at it! See it in post #122 or click here to go there directly!

This section will contain links to PA Gapps that were released by developers and providers on XDA. They use the same script as the official PA Gapps packages, but with updated APKs. TKruzze does NOT support these. The packages listed here are supported by their respective providers, so please respond to their posts here, or use the community links that might be linked.
If you have any problem while flashing these, please contact the provider, or try another Gapps package listed in the OPs.
They are not endorsed or recommended by me in any way. Flash at your own risk.

I will! I am currently working on PA Gapps and once that's done, I can focus on the rest. Thank you for your suggestion though!

Wow. Thanks a million! I was kinda lost after I found out that PA GApps were no longer, but now I know what other ones are around!

Thanks for this thread!
It is really sad to see PA Gapps to be gone, because it was really THE best gapps I came across.
When I searched for alternatives I came across your thread and also these gapps.
I would like to share it with everyone and maybe the @TheXGX can add it in the OP and the users who made it can be credited.
Gapps (4.4.x, 5.0.x & 5.1):

Gapps (5.0.x and below):

https://basketbuild.com/gapps -> provided by basketbuild
http://www.teamandroid.com/gapps/ -> provided by teamandroid

https://itvends.com/gapps/ -> provided by itvends
Gapps (4.4.x and below):

For now I think with those links we can try to move on to search a correct gapps package that would work with the used ROM and also satisfy the need of the user that needs it.

WHat apps are exaclty included in this? Hard to tell in zip. I see in priv-app it has messenger whihc I surely do not want. How would I modify the package? Do I just delete the apps from the priv-app folder, or is there more to it? I really only want the core app, including play store, play services, and google search app. that is it. I am minimal. lol

Yes this is minimal Gapps and you can delete messenger... and add others apps

Great Idea
I am wondering how you will organize the GAPPS packages and providers? Thank You for stepping up!

Maybe organize by using a matrix like overview, otherwise it can indeed be overwhelming for users new to gapp packages.
Should use my brain a little bit more to investigate how I can help the OP user with organizing the available gapp packages.

[APP/FRAMEWORK] NOGAPPS Project (NetworkLocation, MapsAPI, Blank Store)

Introduction:
Most users propably run proprietary apps from Google by one of the three reasons "Stock ROM", "integrated within custom rom" (which may be not entirely legal) or "installed from gapps zip".
Some of the users know that those gapps do track them more than most other apps as they are system-apps and therefor got full rights on android.
Only few users use cyanogenmod or another rom without gapps and leave without it. This solution however is not great as you wont get updates for your apps that regularly and all over googles apps are not bad in functionality (but in privacy)
I am one of those who do they everyday work without google stuff and without gapps. I found out several problems:
Some apps do not install because of missing Google Maps API
Some apps fc at startup bacause of missing Maps API or market license check issues
Some apps hardcoded links to several Google Apps and therefor fc or react unexpectedly on certain cases.
No access to Play Store (i tried nearly every alternative market, but nothing is as good for free apps as play store) Meanwhile, F-Droid provides nearly everything you need
So i started developing what i named the NOGAPPS package - a set of applications and frameworks with the goal to fill the gap of missing gapps package.
This project will be continued under the name microG Project.
Parts of this project:
Maps API v1
A replacement of the often used google maps api with an open source one using OpenStreetMap.

Interesting. One would assume these could be legally integrated into a custom ROM as well? Would make things easier for people who install custom ROMs often (switching between different ROMs/builds etc.) I'm sure.

Yes. I want this to be as open as possible. I am going to publish the sourcecode under apache license when its ready, so everybody is free to change what he likes. (Some of the upstream librarys i use are licensed under gpl so at the moment it seems like not everything can be apache licensed, however gpl should be enough for most usecases and maybe i will recode some of the stuff if need)
This is really awesome! This would be the ideal addition to custom roms.
It always bothered my that i have to install the gapps only to get access to market.
You think about adding own syncprovider so one can use the calendar without creating a google account. I found a small apk for this purpose but open-source solution is always better.
Adding Gapps to a custom rom is only illegal for developers to do, because that from can be flashed to non licensed android devices. A end user can legally install gapps to any rom he is running as long as his device is licensed to have google apps on it, so if your device comes with gapps in its stock state, than you can re add them to any other rom you put on your devive.

Syncprovider isnt so easy as you think. I tried it myself with the sample at google developers but the ruby-Code isnt visible with their system so he must write the serverside-code himself.
But i think this Projekt is very intresting and the android-market-api sounds intersting to me.

I love people with ideas like yours.
There has been such an Project in the early days of Android.
Too bad it got deserted over time. Nice that somebody started it again.
The name back then was cooler, though. Lol
No seriously: Hope this is going somewhere. Looks promising :good:
aah found it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=564263
what a mess.
cool more diversity in android and more chance for diversity.
and a more open android
Is this going to get rid of the google account from android
aptoide-- is a good marketplace(repository based market) --( think it is open source)
k9mail --open source email client
osmand-- one of the open source map applications-- get the app off the google page for a free pro version)
dragon go-- voice to text-- not open source but an alternative
I wish you the best of luck on this project and I hope it is a great success!
I have to ask though, why choose Apple for Network Location? I don't see how Apple is any better than Google. I skimmed through the link you posted but I'm still not convinced... perhaps I'm being too skeptical
It would be awesome if the contacts / calendar providers were written to allow a configurable server address. Then anyone could run their own server on a home network or vps. Of course the server would have to be open source too, but I'm sure it will.

I needed to use a good data source and the only one I know is Google's one (correct me if I'm wrong). Apple uses Google's data, but their API has an completely different approach: Google wants you to send them all wireless and phone networks, your Google account, Android device id, phone number, ... and returns your Geo location. As there is nothing to be cacheable (your wireless networks change probably minutely), you do these requests many times a day. Apple's API let you simply send them one single wifi Mac and they return its location and those in the environment of 250m. The exact location is calculated on the device and you may cache results so you may end up with a database with all necessary data to locate you
here you have been before (or next to this place) without any further data connection.

I planned to use CardDAV and CalDAV for that. There are several open source servers that support both, including open source Microsoft exchange clone zarafa. (But you probably want to use exchange active sync with zarafa)
I would be happy to test.
what a fantastic idea! I can foresee some problems, as Android versions upgrade again, however I'm all for it!
(I also find it funny Apple's API is more open then Google's LMFAO )
But I'm wrong or this is the same goal of the replicant project? replicant.us

Nope just with this latest update. I can flash the gapps package on its own then reboot, and Google Now search does work, but as soon as I flash a new nightly search crashes the app. Same issue across my NS4G and tablet.
Hmn, when the 10.2 update gets built for crespo, can we update directly or do we have to do a full proper wipe? I for example have all the newest gapps updated from the play store. Are there any problems with this?

I think some lib is missing
Okay, so, if I flash the 10.2 update then flash the gapps, will it be fine? (Yea I am aware the phone might need a full wipe, but first I would like to try without and see what happens. "What could go wrong?")

The most customizable nougat ROM for HTC One M8.A lot of options, animations and etc.You can choose between Pixel Launcher and Trebuchet.I personally now use Nova Launcher.I recommended this rom

Are you tired of all apps, stuff that comes with the ROM and you don't need? Try Slim7! It supposes to be with less (debloated) so you can choose what you want. And faster also.
* **crDroid**[OMS]
Pretty fast and stable ROM, for those who don't need tons of options. What I notice here is when app crash there's no notification disappear, maybe is for the better maybe not, just to let you know. You may want to be careful with Substratum, can make it laggy
* XenonHD 7.1 [OMS]

In the original thread name there isn't any more ALPHA but as I see in rom files names still have "experimental" so you have expecting bugs.Anyway this rom have one pretty cool animations that none of the rest has. https://i1.wp.com/androidjhol.net/w...nimation-nexus-e1480126161233.jpg?fit=511,248

* Official Mokee Open Source Project [NIGHTLY]
Official Site: LINK
About the rom:
MoKee Open Source is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
*AOKP [NIGHTLY]
AOKP Basketbuild : LINK
AOKP XDA : LINK
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
* BeanStalk
I see users report that there's no bootloop with this rom if your are Canadian user.

XOSP, which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project is a project based on CyanogenMod and the main idea of this ROM is to create a custom minimal Xperia oriented experience, by including the essential things which a user would ever use from a ROM.
My opinion is, that this is very beautiful, fast and stable rom and you should give it a try.

*HTC One M8 Audio MODs discussion
--------------------------------
*A.R.I.S.E. Sound Systems
I will recommend this mod. I think is one of the best in XDA. Improving a lot the quality of the sound for both - Headphones and speakers. Here is a way how to install it, the way that I use.
link
1.Flash last version SuperSu XDA Link Direct Link
2.Flash/Install BusyBox. PlayStore Link Here
3.Flash ViperCleaner 1.3 (Optional) Link
The script will remove MusicFX, AudioFX, SoundFX or DSPManager.
4.Flash A.R.I.S.E. Sound Systems™ Deuteronomy 2.4 Link or aroma here
I will provide a direct link to this because some people may get confused, other way uses the link for the original thread. I will put the links for the version that I use.
5.Flash ToolBox v2.1 (Optional) Link
I found it very useful because contains a lot of audio profiles from which u can choose the right one for you.

Magisk StuffWhat is Magisk?
In a short way, Magisk is a way to have root and to be still able to play Pokemon GO and use bank apps that won't run on rooted devices. Sound good doesn't it? Sadly, I'm afraid you will be able to use ONLY compatible mods/modules with magisk. Also be careful, always make backup before flashing anything because can make your device to crash or bootloop
How to remove it?
1.Variant Link from AICP thread
2.Variant Link Download and flash the uninstaller.
Anyway, probably for both ways you still will need to disable magisk app from settings-apps , or to uninstall it with some root uninstaller

Notes:
I see this error in twrp, what should I do?
E: unknown command [log]
E: unknown command [log]
Nothing to worry about. If you don't want to see it, flash the last recovery.
My phone is getting too hot, what can I do?
[Use it only on 1.7Ghz, if that doesn't help, use it on 1.3Ghz. (I'm using Ex Kernel Manager with power saving mode on.Very useful app with nice interface and a lot of options)
Or try different kernel - stock LineageOS kernel or the experimental version of Team-M8.
My display is so "yellowish"? Why?
This is called "Live Display", you can turn off that function from:
Settings -> Live Display -> Display Mode, change it from "automatic" to "off".
My phone crash, restart when I insert sim card something?
Try to disable location services.(If this happened to you, your probably Canadian user. This is a temporary fix.)
I come from sense rom ( S.Team M8) and I don't have audio? Why ?
Reflash your firmware.S. Team M8 doing something on your firmware because of the audio mods that contain and need to reflash your firmware if you going to use any other rom.
ROMs that doesn't make bootloop for Canadian users:
ACIP
BeanStalk
Bugs you may meet in Nougat:Some users report that those things don't work, or may happen to you:
-Wi-Fi HotSpot
-Network signal and Mobile Data drops (Just disappear for few seconds, happen often for me)
-SD Card can't be recognized and accessed. (Also CM file stock manager can't access sd card, use some other app from play store)
-Low/Slow GPS signal or not connecting
-Not working compass (Google Maps). Always showing the wrong direction.
-No AGPS support. Fixed in stock lineage os builds and some other roms.
-Canadian users will have bootloop. Except for few roms.
-NFC may not work
-Android Pay may not work
-In game sound lag
-How to exit from full-screen notification can't be disabled.
-Video calling issues (On some users) - Messenger, Viber, Skype and etc.
-HTC Duo Camera.
PS:
Make a backup before you try anything.Need to be on the last version of the firmware (Marshmallow), and use the last version of twrp recovery - 3.2.0.0 to avoid any issues.

Hotwords still doesn't work.
(Some user reported using Chop Assistant from play store.
Didn't test it because currently, I'm not using Pixel Launcher.)I also read that Xposed Framework has a pulgin that can fix that but...

• Open it.
• Type 'su' without quotes.
• Type 'pm.sh' without quotes.
• Done.
Additional Optimizations
• APK optimization through Zipalign Tool.
• Application database optimization though Sqlite tool.
A) Re-aligned APKs through Android Studio Zipalign tool.
B) Re-optimize APKs with 32-bit alignment.
C) Enable memory page alignment for shared object files.
D) Re-compress APKs using Zopfli Zipalign compression.
