It depends on user preference, if you are a android purist, it won't suit you else if you wanna try something different then its good to go.

Guys i need advice on which to buy nexus 4 or 10?

I have 2 options atm
1) buy 4 now and wait next year for the new nexus 10 2.0 to come out.
2) buy 10 now and wait next year for nexus 5.
Do you guys think the hardware for the nexus 5 will be as good as the 10 is currently?
Buy a 10€ iPhone today and wait for nexus 10 to arrive. I am shure IT will be hardware superior.

Would you trade the nexus 4 straight up for a note 2

My friend offered me her note 2 for my nexus...should I stick with my nexus?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I wouldn't trade the phone period. First and foremost you could probably sell your phone on ebay depending on condition for 400-500 BC the demand is still so crazy, upgrade for 300 and still have some dough left over. Second when both phone get old which they will you have a Nexus your always going to have the latest software. Even though Samsung has gotten better with updates and the development community is great it's nice to have a stable vanilla build right from Google.

I would do it.
I would sell the Note 2, and then get myself another Nexus 4 and buy ice cream from the spare change.
I was on the other side of this a week ago. I traded my Note 2 straight across for a Nexus 4 and I couldn't be happier. The Note is fun for like a week...then you will miss the Nexus (I came from a Gnex and still missed it). I have ZERO regrets about the trade.

CORRECTION: Hell no. Samsung can cram their cheap plastic crap back up where the sun don't shine!
You couldn't pay me to trade my Nexus 4 for a Note 2, sorry. If I want to carry around a huge tablet, I'll take my Nexus 7 with me. I can't see putting that huge monstrosity (Note 2) up to my head to talk a call. No thanks. I'd look cooler holding a shoe up to my ear and I'd get major geek points.
Sent from my Nexus 4 or Nexus 7
the note 2 screen is worse than the first, lower res to make it narrow and dpi, it should of been better since they made the screen bigger. the nexus 4 is a good hand held size and aosp will provide more support than exynos chip
I would think about it as if you play your moves right, $200+ profit is too hard to pass up unless you do well (I dont).
In the end I probably wouldn't do it though. I really don't like the Note phones much personally and am crazy about my N4. I would be really upset if I couldn't get another N4 due to extreme lack of availability.

If the play store was chock full of n4's I'd do it for the profit but since that isn't the case the answer is no.
noteII is a closed plattform. hardware button crippled. runs fricking touchwizz. developers fighting a tough fight against samsung trying to make 4.2 stable. heck no.
Yes and then sell it and buy nexus 4 again and keep the extra $200 profit
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Keep the nexus 4 you won't regret it.
I have both the nexus 4 and note 2.... you guys have never used a note 2.. so you are saying this stuff... I gave the nexus to my brother. ..note 2 is way better. ...
But each to his own. ..
scribbled from my note 2 (N7100)
I would do it. These guys telling you no are crazy. Who wouldn't want to profit $100-150? You can find the nexus 4 16gb from craigslist for 400-450. Where I live there are about 5 people trying to sell it for 450 but no one is buying it. Idk why all these people are talking down on Samsung. I love my nexus but some of these people need to stop praising the nexus like it's a perfect device. They remind me of those annoying Apple fanboys. There are some minor issues with the nexus... like sometime Bluetooth doesn't want to toggle so you have to reboot to get it to work and the touch responsiveness on the web(tapping next to see next image) is not as responsive as Samsung. I wish Google would implement some of the features off tw.

To me its a no brainer. The Nexus 4 is not only the best Android phone out, it will sell 2 years from now for more that what you paid for it.
I came from a SGS3 and the Nexus 4 blows it away.

[Q] Should I sell my Nexus 4?

I've been seeing all these rumours about the Motorola X. It looks amazing, and a lot of websites are saying it will undercut the Nexus 4 in price. Should I sell my nexus 4 before it comes out and buy the X when it does come out? Really not sure what to do

It doesn't look like a serious upgrade from a nexus 4. The differences aren't huge so it would probably be best to wait. Also it's not a nexus device so you lose a lot of the good modding that you get on the 4 and probably has a locked bootloader

Yup, but noted who knows what the price might be on that one. Only the Nexus 4 was a cheap nexus phone. The previous ones were all full price phones. So we have to see what direction Google wants to head in

Probably. Sounds like you just want something new. The nexus 4 is on par with the top tier phones out right now (HTC One, GS4) as far as performance goes. My only gripe with the N4 is the camera, but its not enough for me to ditch it yet. We just use my wife's GS3 or our DSLR for that.
The X is nice, but I don't see its release causing the value of the N4 to drop to much. Only another Nexus device will affect its value.

Yes sell it! If you want to downgrade. I don't think Google will sell the Nexus 5 for that much higher than the Nexus 4. Maybe 30 to 60 dollars more. I mean look at the Nexus 7, that thing upgraded like hell and the price only went up 30 dollars.

So I'm wrong and you're ignorant, Google hasn't always been using this, just the new devices
see
Nexus 10=10"
Nexus 4=4"
Nexus 7=7"
Nexus 5=5"
now the Nexus 7 has a new version, called Nexus 7 II, not Nexus 8 (following your thought), and so will Nexus 10 (Nexus 10 II), if Nexus 4 gets a new version too, it probably will be called Nexus 4 II, and not Nexus 5, and this discussion is pointless since Nexus 5 is just a rumor someone random started
Don't sell your Nexus 4 now. Nobody has even seen the specs for the x-phone yet and according to the rumors the specs of the X-phone will probably be very similar to Nexus 4.
Wait for the Nexus 5.
But the current nexus 4 is closer to 5 inches. So why didn't they call it the nexus 5? Well I'll tell you b/c the nexus 4 is the 4th generation of the nexus phone.
The naming for the tablets is correct and if they do decide to make a 5" nexus phone next its likely they call it the nexus 5. Google pretty much backed themselves in to a corner with the phone naming. Seeing as they will not be able to call the 7th gen nexus phone the nexus 7.
So I agree with you and the naming, just not the nexus 4 naming.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Yeah I've read its not gonna be crazy just a phone that they want to make sure its gonna work perfrectly. The specs did sound similar to the n4. But again that's just rumors.
There's no reason to sell the phone for one that its not even a year old and it will still get official updates for like another 3 years

Usually 1 year increments are not worth it.
Is the Nexus 5 an upgrade? Yes it has a better camera, better processor, etc. However, the Nexus 4 isn't a bad phone and is running the latest version of Android.

Thanks for your feedback. Dont care much about the camera. Nexus 4 is running buttery smooth on 4.4.2 unless if I was benchmark whore but I am not. Doesnt seems to be worth upgrading.
