Bit of a newbie but I was running a an older version of XtreStoLite on my S5 for about 6 months. Was looking to update everything to 2.1 Lollipop, used Odin 3.09 to flash new bootloader with the latest files (G900T-LP-UVU1DOB1-BOOTLOADER.tar.md5 and G900T-LP-UVU1DOB1-MODEM.tar) according to the instructions. Using PhilZ I installed the new XtreStoLite_G900T_ROM_v1.3.6a_UVU1BNH5 zip followed by aroma add on XtreStoLite_G900T_Aroma_Add-on_Package_UVU1BNH5_v1.3.6. Now when I boot, my phone freezes during the boot animation, the blue LED stays on, then the screen shortly goes black after. Any ideas or help is appreciated.
You're installing KitKat ROM on Lollipop Bootloaders and modem.
If you want lollipop try XtreStoLite from the galaxy s5 section, it will say SM-G900F (the international ROM) but it works flawlessly on 900T.
Go here to install 2.1 after a full cleanup in recovery:

Hi Guys, I am fairly new to flashing and rooting. Have successfully done on my Galaxy S5 and now trying on my Note 3 - N9005. I tried flashing a latest 4.4 rom - Echoe rom and it got stuck in Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Logo. Now i have flashed stock rom (Australian Vodafone) running 4.3. My question is since i am trying to flash a 4.4.2 rom, do i need to do anything specific or just flash TWRP and install a custom rom? i noticed there were 2 versions of TWRP one ofr 4.3 and one for 4.4. I am confused as to since i am on 4.3 version do I flash TWRP 4.3 version? or since i am looking to flash 4.4 rom should i install TWRP 4.4 at first place?

you need 4.4 twrp. It should be 2.7.1 I think. you also need to me sure the Rom is compatible with your phone.

During my first try, i had TWRP for 4.3, which allowed me to flash Echoe Rom based on 4.4 (latest version) for N9005, it even showed me success notification but it never booted past Samsung logo. I then flashed TWRP 4.4 version, but it then wouldn't boot in recovery. i reflashed TWRP 4.3 version and as last resort i had to flash stock firmware.
I will now flash TWRP 4.4 version at first instance and try flashing a rom again. maybe will try a different rom. Thanks for your suggestion :good:

hello there.
u were sayin u r on 4.3 JB rom.
ur device is N9005 international 32gb right?
let me tell u 1 thing which is a good thing to remember.
4.4 rom will need a 4.4 bootloader.
since u r on 4.3, u must be on 4.3 bootloader which is incompatible with 4.4 rom. flashing twrp for kitkat won't help.
steps that u need to take (easiest) :
1. download 4.4.2 stock firmware.
2. flash with odin v3.09
3. root with cf autoroot (download the KK version)
3. flash custom recovery for KK version (twrp/cwm/ philz). I personally prefer cwm as it has give me less trouble for any custom rom.
4. u can flash any 4.4.2 custom rom now.

THANK YOU!!! This makes lot of sense.:good: I will upgrade to KK first, then custom recovery and then rom. One question? 4.4 is not yet available for my carrier in Australia. can I download and install the Poland version that is floating around internet. Or would you recommend some other.

Hi,
I have samsung galaxy AT&T S4 I337, MDL baseband version.
I rooted the phone long back with Motochopper.
Last week, I installed TWRP 2.7.1.0 with "Rom Installer" app and I came to know that it is loki-fied TWRP.
I tried to flash couple of ROMs, but none of them worked except CM11. I tried foxhound ROM, Wanamlite ROM and Wicked ROM. On flashing any of these, I am getting a message "System software not authorized by AT&T is found on your phone", irrespective of whether I flash loki-doki.zip or not.
CM11 flashed fine (with out even flashing loki) and I am currently using it. My S4's firmware doesn't support call recording and I need it.
I searched the forums about the error message and I came to know that I need to flash an AT&T compatible kernel after flashing the ROM. Where can I find the AT&T compatible kernel? Can I flash the same kernel when I try different ROMs?
I installed xposed installer in CM11 and I have activated the module "EnableCMCallRecording". Does this really work?
FYI, I am able to get into TWRP recovery with out any issues when I am stuck in bootloop.
I have some knowledge about ODIN as I have used it in the past.
Thanks,
Balaji.
Hi,
I recently updated my phone (gt-i9505) to the latest firmware (touchwiz lollipop 5.0.1) an it works fine but the battery life is terrible and also the usual touchwiz ugliness.
I want to flash stock android lollipop either the google edition or cyanogen mod 12 but I can't. it just stops at the "samsung galaxy sIV" screen.
I don't know how to remove this update so if anyone got any idea please help!
thanks
1. Full wipe
2. Flash the rom
That's all there is to it.
Make sure you use the latest TWRP/Philz recovery.

Your correct thread have to be HERE.
I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S5 today at a local T-Mobile store. But it turns out that the model number is SM-G900T3, for which I cannot find any information on how to root and install custom recovery. Has anyone had any luck with this model? It's build LMY47X.G900T3UVU1FOF6 Android version 5.1.1
Thanks!
What to do for G900T3 S5
Same here. I went from S4 running cyangenmod 12.1 to s5 g900t3. All because i cracked the screen on my s4. I don't like the stock firmware too much on the s5 so I've been researching rooting it. But run into the same issue. No info on rooting this model. The only thing I can think of to do is downgrade to 4.2 using Odin then root and install CWM. Yet I found a forum where someone posted they were unsuccessful in downgrading the g900t3. So HELP PLEASE.
Turns out it's actually simpler than that. If your goal is to replace the stock firmware with a custom one, such as cyanogenmod then you don't even need to root your stock firmware. All you need to do is flash TWRP custom recovery with Odin, then reboot into TWRP recovery and create a backup of your stock firmware just in case. After that you should be good to go ahead and install cyanogenmod or any other supported custom firmware. This is exactly what I've done with my SM-G900T3.
But if you really want to root your stock firmware then here is a guide for that:

Hope this helps.
OK thanks for the link. It does state not to flash if I'm on FOG6 Build, which I am. Even though my baseband version is FOF6. Guessing the Build is more important. Last night I tried to downgrade to 4.4 using Odin, that immediately didn't work. So I Flashed Philztouch CWM on it then tried to install superuser from the galaxys5 root page, but it was stuck in bootloop on the T-mobile screen. I realized the superuser was for 5.0 version. So then I used Odin again to flash my firmware back on to it the g900t3 5.1.1 FOG6 from the Sammobile website. After that, because I saw I had a reply on here, I used Philztouch to install Cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly recovery (don't know which on it was, either klte or klteusc) without rooting and I was stuck in the Cyan's big eyed alien face thing bootloop screen again. So then I had to reinstall my stock firmware once more. Basically after 4+ hours of rooting I'm back where I started. LOL. I don't know what else to do. I'm still researching FOG6 to see if I find anything.

Would this be the same procedure to follow if I wanted to put a stock T-Mobile version of 4.4.2 on my SM-G900T3? Or would that not work?
