Hello,
I've recently purchased n Note 4 duos in order to use it for professional reasons while having my personal phone on it as well. The company policy requires a specific software to handle encrypted mails which actually forces the phone to be encrypted. After encryption the second SIM is being identified as "No Service" and by that it is not providing data services and it is blocking the outgoing SMS as you no more have the option of choosing that card for outgoing msg's. At first i thought that it was a software specific issued but after a couple of factory resets i found out that the same happens if you setup any Microsoft Exchange account requiring encryption or even by just encrypting the phone. The even strangest part of that is that after encryption , even if i swap the cards in the slots, the affected card still shows as "No service" and is not providing data services!
Any ideas on bypassing this issue , resolving or ideas of whom to adress this to, would be extremely useful.

i was trying to get root access on my G1 but when i reformatted to Fat32 (i know everything goes to factory reset) but i didnt know if you have no service you cant get through the google sign in part upon startup.
so when i go to the "sign in" one, i put in my information and i will get a message saing "Thereis a problem communicating with the google servers this could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services"
hoever i was able to unlock it using my friends workiing SIM card from their Gravity, but it worked once, i did another wipe of my phone, the second time both mine and his say the same thing.. what should i do?
Hello. I was recently given another sim card by my carrier because the old one kept losing signal due to tear & use. This one has the annoying default pin and every time I restart my phone I have to enter it. On my 6.5.5 ROM, I'm unable to find the security settings for this in order to be able to change that pin or disable the request. Any ideas for this?
I have seen this issue with other users, I have contacted Sprint support the only suggestion they have given me is to replace the phone. I was hoping someone has a better solution. When I start my phone I get LTE after a couple moments it goes through Sprint Self Service ( Like I was activating the phone ) after that I get an error along the lines of " The network took too long to respond we are locking the sim card" after which i still have mobile data. Then a little while after a couple moments I get another pop up error that says " No SIM card detected restart phone " Then i get no data at all and it shows up as SIM card unknown. (because they locked it)
I was curious if anyone knows of a service I can uninstall or freeze with titanium backup that will stop this from happening?
Anyone have any ideas?
Hey guys, I'm having an issue that I can't seem to resolve on my own. I recently broke the screen on my Note 5 so I decided to use my old Note 4 until the Note 8 comes out. Today I took out the phone, placed my simcard into it and started it up. I thought everything was fine until I tried making a call where it just gives me a pop up notification that I'm not registered on the network.
The phone isn't locked, bought it new unlocked. No custom roms (ever), IMEI is correct (naturally). So far I've reset the phone to factory settings to see if that would help to no avail.
If manually choose a carrier manually (both searching and choosing one takes longer than usual) I get a new message "No Service Selected Network (Telia N) not available".
The phone worked prior to me putting it away, my sim card works in other phones. Any suggestions or am I up sh**s creek without a paddle?
take out the simcard and try an emergency call (in my country it's a crime to playing with it. But without the card nobody can catch you.)
if the message appears again = it seems HW related problem
if the emergency call is working = it seems your phone restricted by the carrier and you need to ask the customer service why. Maybe a mistake
Thanks, it appears to work without sim card dialling 112. I'll email and call my service provider tomorrow.
My S8 does not forget the last network it was used on. I tried from forgetting the network, to hard reset and complete phone reset with cache clean. Since it does not forget, it also does not require phone to be restarted when I insert the Verizon sim card in it.
I have a strange issue and the way to fix it involves either my device forgetting the cellular network, or at least requesting me to restart the device when I insert the sim card. It appears Samsung/Google have become too smart (or collecting too much data).
Is there any way that I can achieve the above? Thanks
