The following process has been found to hard-brick Moto E devices:
Downgrade to stock 4.4.2 from stock 5.0.x
Take OTA from stock 4.4.2 to stock 4.4.4
Initially discovered in this thread
As always, search before posting, you do anything to your device at your own discretion, so make sure you are fully informed before performing any potentially dangerous operations on your device, such as downgrading
I will keep this up-to-date with all pertinent information.

Hi I am on antaresone Rom 5.1.1 and I want to sim unlock if is possible (free ) or any method also free
Thanks in advance
Not on a custom ROM. You'd need to restore your stock ROM through Odin first, then follow the instructions in the S4 unlocking thread in General. Just make sure to read the last few pages, because people seem to keep missing the little detail of downgrading the modem before trying it.
Re
What version 5.0 Kitkat 4.3, 4.2.2
Read the thread I mentioned. The answers are in there, with a little digging.
I read in the GPE thread that it uses stock kernel, but I'm not confident enough because I can't find any way to directly compare that statement with what's currently being used. I'm using flashfire rather than a recovery so I am trying to avoid soft bricking. Any help would be appreciated.
At&t 5.0.1 Stock Lollipop rooted
I'm pretty sure I saw that it was not safestrap-compatible, which would mean no.

Anybody got the stock firmware for 830LC with LTE version? Or do you know where to download?
Thank you.
Try to look at needrom.com. Also look here as some topics are related to 830LC and contain links or howto's, for example

if what you need is the stock rom of the kitkat one it was already given to you
i have no knowledge of an available (YET) official lollipop stock rom for your model, but going up to Lollipop can always be done by taking the OTA after a KitKat stock rom flash, so this is not an issue if you are on KitKat
the problem is when your tab is already on Lollipop and you want to go back to stock KitKat (to stay there or to take the Lollipop OTA), if you just flash the KitKat rom you will softbrick on the first reboot after flashing kitkat because your tab would try to boot a kitkat system from a lollipop leftover initialisation system, this can be solved too with some minimal effort/knowledge but as you told already you don't know how to use a terminal so i would suggest that you keep waiting (or just play a little to learn a minimal knowledge of android flashing tools).
or wait some more so i somebody will pack an all-in-one flash stock KitKat rom package for your model with the bios downgrade (Lollipop to KitKat) included
i don't think Lenovo would ever release a KitKat stock rom flashable directly from Lollipop (this would go against their upgrade/one way policy)
Thnaks pal, you've save my day
Hello all, quick question
I have an S4 I9500 running GearCM13 (6.0.1) and I want to go back to stock 4.4.2, would following this guide do the trick or is it no longer possible to downgrade?
If this has already been discussed, a link is appreciated as I've searched and found nothing conclusive.
Thanks
It depends on your bootloader. If you never upgraded the bootloader from 4.4.2 you should be able to go back to stock rather easily. You may be able to go back even with an upgraded bootloader, since both the 5.0.1 bootloader and 4.4.2 bootloaders have Knox. You'll just have to try the guide.

Thanks, that's the info I needed.
To summarize the whole situation which led me to want to downgrade: I was on GEARCM13 and battery drain was too much to handle so I wanted to go back to a KK 4.4.2 rom (Ozcan) but then I read about Infernus Rom (Based 5.1.1 Ale95 Note Port) and went that way. Strephon's info helped me notice I didnt have to downgrade anything since I have a 5.0.1 bootloader.
Kinda convoluted response, if anyone wants further details, please pm.
Hi,
This has probably already been answered somewhere on the site but, I'm looking to flash a stock bootloader on my i9505. The current bootloader is stopping me from using Android Pay so, would someone be able to provide me with the latest bootloader and instructions on how to flash it on without rooting the device?
Thank you
The bootloader thread is literally under your thread at the moment.
The simplest way would be to just do a software update.
Also, if your device is not rooted or otherwise unmodified, then you should be able to use Android Pay without problems.
