Yes, I think so coz SM-N9005 uses LTE 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600 Mhz.

N9005 - LTE Problem

Hello geniuses!
Before anyone asks, I have already tried the search function and was unable to get any pertinent results!!
I have a n9005 unbranded factory unlocked phone that I purchased through a retailer in Singapore. I absolutely love this phone it is such a beast!
However, I am having a problem with the handset. I am with telus up here in Canada and I am unable to connect to their LTE network. I called customer service to ensure that LTE is enabled on my plan and it is. I am getting HSPA+ speeds and I am able to make voice calls just fine, but I bought this phone thinking I would have LTE enabled on it.
Now from my understanding, the snapdragon 800 chipset has LTE bands that support numerous networks. However, since this is a phone from Singapore it may only have Singapore LTE bands enabled. Is there a way to change it so that it recognizes Canadian bands, more specifically Telus' LTE network?
I read that by flashing a new modem or csc I would be able to get LTE speeds, is this the case? If so, can some one guide me in the right direction on how to do this as I am a complete noob!
Thanks everyone!:fingers-crossed:
Did I not just answer a similar thread about someone with the *exact* same issue with a handset from Hong Kong?
Singapore uses the 1800 and 2600 LTE bands, Telus only the 1700 band. You're using a phone that doesn't even see your LTE band...

Yes I understand that...
That's why I asked if it's possible to flash a different modem on the phone that will enable the 1700 band?

Does anyonr knows how to flash firmware or modem then I will be able to activate lte on my note 3
Thank you
if u havea 4g enabled device such as note 3 model number n9005 then u can use 4g untill its frequency is not supported.... the supported frequencies are not software based.. the are hardware based andcannot be changed.... note 3 n9005 supports LTE 800 / 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 and note3 n900w8 supports LTE 700 / 1900 / 2100 ... if ur carrier transmits on frequency other than these then us device is useless.... many people buy these devices only because it has 4g but they arenot even aware of supported frequencies so u all must research properly before buying.... PLY PRESS THANKS IF MY POST HELPED U...:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

[Q] Samsung galaxy note 3 LTE SM-N900w8

N9005 vs N900W8 on Bell Canada

few people says that n9005 is not compatible with bell but only with rogers.
but as for my research, bell and rogers both offers 1700/2100/2600 mhz LTE band.
apparently n900w8 version does not have 2600mhz frequency but n9005 does, which is a advantage over n900w8 i think,
and also both version of the phone only supports 2100mhz but no 1700mhz.
so i don't see why n9005 version of galaxy note 3 is not compatible with bell network.
is anyone using n9005 on bell network? is it just those few people have wrong information or theres something i just don't understand?
Thanks in advance guys
FYI,
LTE n9005– 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600mhz
LTE n900w8– 700/1900/2100mhz
Bell&Rogers both have these frequencies
HSPA+ : 850/1900mhz
LTE: 1700/2100/2600

Unlock the LTE lock adout N9005 in CHINA?

I buy a Europe N9005 via Gray way, but I cann,t use LTE of CHINA UNICOM LTE inCHINA WUHAN
anybody could help me ?
i only know xda is a brilliant rorum:highfive: i hope i can solve my problem
So, did you check the provider's LTE frequency band against the ones the N9005 supports?
Because there's a 99.99% chance the two don't match. Which XDA can't fix. (We wish!)

:crying::crying:
MY Europe 9005 (32G) said it support LTEB1 B3 B5 B7 B8 B20 ALL
LTE of China Unicom is Band 1 /Band3 ,I think it should be supported. AND the 9005 of Hong kong, it could use in CHINA UNICOM'S LTE,
the 9005(TGY,16G) should be same with 9005(EUR,32G) in hardware
And many of Europe N9005 the IMEI will change if you flash new rom with odin ,IMEI will become 35750705000888 ,many people suffer that.
So i guess Samsung Lock the LTE because of religion place restrictions ,i guess
CHINA UNICOM said its TD-LTE is false, because goverment force them to use TDD-LTE , a lot of cities use FDD -LTE in fact .
CHINA UNICOM use TD-LTE band 41, FDD-LTE band 1 ,band 3 even band 7
So, what's the current situation in China ? I am at the same position; unlocked international version of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) and want to use it in China. Mysteriously, 4G seemed to work (??) with a China Mobile sim card when I tried in a mobile shop but sadly I didn't have the time or access to make sure and do comprehensive tests. I thought TDD-LTE was not supposed to be compatible. Could China Mobile have FDD-LTE in my region (Henan) ?

N9005 using T-mobile US Sim (help)

Maybe someone posted this but I can't seem to find any when I searched for it here.
I have an N9005 note 3 and I'm using a T-mobile sim card. I can't get an LTE signal because t-mobile has a different frequency according to the customer service I spoke with.
Is there in any way that I can get an LTE signal from t-mobile?
I would highly appreciate any help.
On AT&T in some areas you can get LTE.

I'm not sure if you got a definite answer on this, but surprisingly T-Mobile's service rep was actually correct. I'm shocked!!! Lol
You won't be able to get true LTE on that device with T-Mobile. The N9005 doesn't support LTE Band 4 which is what Tmo uses.

They're opening up band 12 in some markets. Not sure if the 9005 supports that one, but the n900t doesn't.
