Is there any way to turn off the sms lock screen notifications? I hate how my screen turns on when my phone is in my pocket.
Is there a way to disable the LED display while loading the phone while it is turned off (rooted or not)?
I am aware that I can disable it when the phone is turned on, but that setting doesn't seem to apply to when it is off.
Not without physically opening up the device, I suspect. It's not a firmware setting when the phone is turned off.

Hello! I've been unable to find the answer by searching because apparently everyone is upset about the using battery ongoing notification, so...
How do you disable persistent notifications from showing on the lock screen, but still allow other removable notifications to show on the lock screen, from the same app? I remember having this ability on a previous version, but it appears that 8.1 is an all or nothing setting as far as the lock screen is concerned.
I.e. I have AccuBattery. I don't want the ongoing notification about charge level and current showing on my lock screen, but I really do want the charge alarm/alert to unplug to show on the lock screen.
