[Q] How to move apps to sd card in Lenovo A1000L-F? - Lenovo A1000 Questions & Answers

Hello
I try link2sd, Lucky Patcher and AppMgr ||| but all of them detect USB storage as external SD card. Is there any other way to move app from USB storage or Internal storage to SD card? I root it.
Thanks

Did you prepare the storage in the right way?
1. partition fat32 // 2. partition ext4 (Both must be primary partitions)

You need 1 physical storage that you split! For example split internal OR external sd card fat32/ext4. But not one storage fat32 and another ext4.

I have't tried the method from howtogeek.com. But HERE is a guide how to prepare your storage for using Link2SD.

Micro SD Card Partions

Rooted and running Prime 1.4, I formatted and partitioned the micro sd card with sdext, swap space, and fat32 storage partitions similar to a rooted phone's sd card. Now my computer will not recognize the micro sd card. Do I need the sdext and swap space, or can I do a complete fat32 or NTFS partition?

For me, I just use the normal Win format command to have a FAT32 partition.

Big problem with main SD storage - Galaxy S2

Hi to all people,
I've been exploring my new Galaxy S2 and don't know how but... my camera can't save pics on internal SD card cause storage option is in grey and "Phone" is selected...
Also I can't move applications to SD so I think problem is in SD detection... but I've no idea at all... I tried to mount and umount with CMW in Recovery Mode but nothing... anyone can help me please?
Thanks in advance,
try another sd card
Sounds like card is becoming faulty.

If its the external sd card format it through windows fat 32 .
#If its the internal sd card you can format via CWM but that wipes all data .

Its the internal sd card (11Gb) that's the matter... I tried to format via CMW v4.0.0.2 (Mounts and Storage Menu --> format /sdcard) but the same matter i can't select SD card Storage in Camera Options ... Really it's possible to save pics there?
Thx
In the camera app, saving to the phone saves to the phone's internal 11GB space. Selecting the save to SD card option makes it save to the external microSD card.

You would be better off having the photos stored on the external microsd card than the internal memory.
By having them on the internal memory if you have problems with your phone and you have to factory reset you lose everything on the internal memory.
I put everything which I consider valuable onto the external memory card.
Periodically I then take this card out of the phone and copy it's contents onto my PC.
Yes, you could hook up your phone to your PC and copy the contents of the internal memory but should you have to factory reset you would lose everything from the last backup.

[HELP]Can't read SD Card after formating

Guys help me please. I partition my sd card. few months ago. last night i formatted my SD card. after that. SD card can't mount. please help me. what to do ? also my computer can't read it please help me how to fix it . thanks in advanced.
first backup any data you have on your sd card
remove all partitions with minitool and create a new partition of fat32 and format it with minitool
next boot up your phone with the sd card in
goto
settings
storage
unmount sd card
erase/format sd card
now go into cwm - you sd card will now be mountable
for the 2nd partition create it in cwm
cant remember exactly where the option is from memory but its under something like partitions
just create a 2nd partition of 1024mb with 0 swap
you can then copy any backups back to sd card

if you are unable to read your sd card via a card reader on a pc (not via phone usb cable) in order to delete partitions and recreate them, its best you get a new sd card

I think that's not the problem, i use a MP3 player with USB
If you plug your sdcard on linux-based using anything it should be /dev/sdc
Do a dd if=/dev/sdc of=/home/[your user]/Desktop/sdcard.img
After that install WinImage http://www.winimage.com/
Open the img with winimage it will tell you where to connect,
choose first primary fat32 partition open menu -> extract all with subdirectories, :good:

Hi, anyone can suggest me for best file system sdcard 128GB that can write more than 4GB files? I think Mi A1 support exFAT file system, but not. I don't like using mysdcard as internal storage.

Fat format system doesn't support more than 4gb per file transfert
Tour sdcard will be formated in the appropriate format when you'll put in it
Just don't choose the internal option
It will be in ext4 if things haven't changed

Well then try to format it on ext4 or NTFS through your PC and see if it is correctly mounted and recognised when you put it into your mia1

I was try to format my sdcard to ext4 from mini partition tools software, but it remains undetected and is only considered a corrupted memory card in stock ROM.

Stock does not support exfat or NTFS. It only support fat32 if you are using custom rom then you can use any format . Fat32 only support upto 4 gb file size.

what I believe happened to you is SD you use encrypted set it up as portable storage. transfer media off SD format it then try files again. exfat is better for files over 4gb it's up to you https://www.howtogeek.com/235596/whats-the-difference-between-fat32-exfat-and-ntfs/ you could save to internal then transfer the backup to sd

im using usb flash drive sundisk 64bit (ive tried a 32gb one to same thing) , i goto save to usb in twrp and thats when i get that message about not enough space, i never had this problem before on my other phone like my note 4, i never had to setup anything just hook up my usb to my phone and save but with my new oneplus 6t it gives me that message.
i'll try formating it to exfat and try again and i'll come back and let you know if it worked.
In twrp You can select whether to backup to your internal storage or sd card. After you tap on backup, about halfway down you will see something that says storage: and a location. Tap on that to change the location for the backup.

thanks, i know that i just don't like taking all my phone space that's why i prefer usb storage
fat32 formatted USB sticks will not work here. the backups are too big for the file limitations of FAT32.
