Hello. I have a stupid situation. I used a pin for some apps, when phone was in my pocket, it with random touches blocked my phone. I must enter a flyme password, but I had froze by titanium backup standart keyboard app and was using swype. Swype doesn't have "unlock" button and "enter" button just types a new line symbol. I can't wipe phone or flash other rom, because with locked phone it denies boot to recovery. I wrote to support, passed a day and I have not received any response yet. I attempted one hundred times to boot recovery. Any combinations are working!

Hi All,
Need your help. I tried setting up a corporate Exchange Account on my Iconia (rooted, running Honeyvillain 1.05). After set up of the account, I was asked to encrypt the table (policy from the corporate server). I followed the prompts to start the encryption process, entered a password, and then the device rebooted. It then was stuck on the screen with "Android" on it. I waited 30 minutes, and nothing. I forced a restart and then was presented with a green android (with a belt?) and prompting me for my password. After entering the password and hitting "OK" it would then immediately reboot and stop, again, at the screen with the white "Android". I tried wiping and restarting but nothing. I then tried installing a different ROM, but again was prompted for my password. This time (virtuous galaxy rom) it didn't actually restart, but just froze on the screen with the green android robot with the belt looking thing. I've tried running the unbricking process using the update.zip method, but still cannot get past the screen prompting me for my password. Would love your help with this! Am I out of luck?
Thanks,
-T
I use encryption with my tablet, and switched from various stock roms without problems, but I even didn't try with the custom roms, surely it will fail and loose all my data. The only thing I can think for you repair your tablet is to try to flash a stock rom and see if it boots, if not, then you have to erase everything from the tablet. There is a post saying to boot holding the power+vol up keys and then move the lock switch several times on and off, so it deletes everything on the tablet like a hard reset.
After you do that I will recommend stick with the stock rom (rooted if you want, it doesn't disturb the encryption) and encrypt the tablet again, it took quite a time to do it, specially if you have many data in the internal memory.
Hope it helps you.
Hi There,
Thanks for the reply. In the meantime, I actually found some instructions on how to do a factory reset (volume+ and power, then release power, then toggle screen lock twice) and I managed to revive it! I had previously tried installing the update.zip mentioned here: http://androidforums.com/acer-iconia-tab-a500/345419-un-brick-acer-iconia-tab-a500.html, and after a factory reset, the tab booted into this stock EMEA ROM.
I have just wiped and upgraded my Galaxy s4 to 4.4.2. I would like to fully encrypt my phone and use pattern unlock so I followed this article:
(just google pattern-unlock-an-encrypted-android-phone, I can't post URL)
But even though I have tried this multiple times and unplugged the USB cable (as mentioned in the article) as soon as I hit enter to start the encryption command the screen goes black on the phone and then after about 10min the phone reboots to the unlock screen and it is still unencrypted. I have tried following other articles too but they are all the same in terms of the command you run to encrypt the phone.
Any ideas? How can I get pattern unlock to work with an encrypted Android phone? Yes I know you can't do this via the GUI but then you need to enter a silly long password every single time you want to unlock the phone which is not an option for me. I don't mind entering a long password when turning on the phone but when it comes to unlocking the phones lock screen I would like to use the pattern unlock.
Any one else had any success with this on 4.4.2? Thanks!

Hi, do you find a solution for your problem? I have the same mistake in my telephone.
Thanks a lot.
Hey guys,
So today I rooted my T580, 7.0 for the first time using this guide and I installed couple of apps I saw most people were using including some xposed modules.
Everything was working just fine til the moment I decided to add 'Draw unlock pattern' on my tablet to unlock it.
As soon as I put it to sleep and tried to unlock it, it just won't unlock, even though it recognizes the pattern is correct.
I draw the correct pattern, it hangs for about 2 seconds it puts the tablet to sleep again. I can't even shutdown the tablet because it asks me to draw the pattern.
What can I do to fix this?

Hold the Home, Vol down and Power buttons for about ten seconds. As soon as the screen goes black, switch your finger from the Vol down to the Vol up button. This should put you back into TWRP where you can reflash and start over. You have to be quick shifting from Vol down to Vol up or the tablet will boot to download mode instead of TWRP. If it does, then do the same thing again but switch faster.

If you have twrp installed its pretty easy to remove the pattern lock.

Thank you everyone, I was able to use the TWRP and restored a backup. I thought it was some app incompatibility but apparently none of the secure lock-screens work with SuperSU, they all mess it up and I end up restoring the tablet.
Hi everyone,
I don't know if this is a Tab A question, a Samsung question, an Android question, or a Marshmallow question.
I have an older tablet (SM-P350 with stylus) that I haven't been using a lot and I have forgotten the unlock pattern I was using. I am able to log in using the backup PIN, which I do remember, but I have to make several failed attempts to draw the pattern before I am prompted to enter the PIN. I'd like to start using the tablet more, but I don't want to have to do this every time.
I went to the security settings to change my login, but under "Screen lock type," it prompts me for my pattern, and after a failed attempt, it tells me I have to wait 45 minutes to try again! I am not given the option of entering the PIN. So I can't change the pattern OR change the screen lock type without knowing the old pattern! Does anyone know how I can use the backup PIN to do this?
As a last resort, I decided to do a factory reset. When I tried to do so from the menu, it prompted me for the security pattern!
I've tried twice to use the power and volume down buttons to reset, but I don't seem to be able to get to the recovery menu.
Now I can't log in to shut down and try again, because it's telling me I have to wait an hour!
And finally, one additional complicating factory is this: the tablet has been rooted -- not by me, but by the previous owner.
What can I do?
