SM-N9005 Unlocked - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it alright to install the Romanian Lollipop firmware with CSC ROM with an unlocked international SM-N9005?
If not what other official lollipop firmware can be installed other than the one from Poland with CSC XEO?

Yep, you can flash Romanian Lollipop firmware or other that will be not branded. The unique is that you don't gonna receive OTA updates.

[Q] German Firmware on Baltic model

Hello,
i recently bought an Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 in Germany and found out that it is a Baltic model with the XXUFNC4 Firmware installed.
Can i install the official German XXUGNF1 Firmware on this model with Odin?
Sorry if i missed something but im totally new to Samsung devices
Thanks in advance
Sure u can. As long as the firmware is for I9505.
Mine was a Vodafone Austrailia model which does not have a 4.4.2 update, so i updates mine using ODIN using firmware of the Baltic region.

no you can't
firmwares differ from country to country.
radio and modem firmware is different.
BTW if you are rooted delete/uninstall all the bloatware from your device simple.

[Q] Lollipop update on S5

Hi all, Im not sure if im posting in the right section, I am new to forumns, I have a samsung galaxy s5 G900F, I am in the UK but cannot get update for lollipop via samsung kies 3 or OTA. All it says is latest updates already installed. My samsung was bought in italy but was unlocked to all networks. My build number is KOT49H.G900FXXU1ANG9, is the reason it is not updating because its from Italy and that I have to wait for Italy to release their update?
Well, yea if your ROM is Italian then you need to wait for the Italian update
Or flash a UK ROM, in which case you might as well flash the stock Lollipop ROM from sammobile or here XDA
Yes, your rom is italian no carrier, in italy for now lolipop was released only for some carrier(Vodafone and H3g)
Thanks for your reply, I am searching for the UK ROM and found BTU - is BTU for no carrier? also do I need to Root my phone to install the ROM?

Which build of Android 6.0.1 should I put on UK unlocked S5/G900F?

I have an unlocked UK Galaxy S5/G900F.
Which of the following should I install? [screenshots attached]
Or should I wait?
This one is stock G900F 6.0.1, with BTU CSC added
Code:
https://mega.nz/#!SMRlERrY!oeOX8W_4tbQbArTN-LzTKWJ1xi_8LLrN_ZoSg-Dzs1Q
Will trip KNOX if you haven't already
Otherwise probably best to flash the UK Vodafone one and debloat / remove branding

Because it's modded to have BTU (United Kingdom) CSC (Samsung haven't released 6.0.1 BTU for the G900F yet)
It was a different region that is on SM, can't remember which one it was now
I'm running it on my G900F, best ROM to date
Flash zip via twrp?

Latest Nougat Firmware - Manual Install (Odin)

Hello folks,
I would like to update my S7 Edge (SM-G935F) to the latest Nougat firmware which if I'm not mistaken arrived UK BTU, which is:
PDA - G935FXXU1DQB3
CSC - G935FOXA1DQB1
I would like to install it via Odin, the most stock way possible (don't want root or custom recovery), just because that I'm tired that it haven't arrived OTA in my country (PT).
But I have a few questions regarding this manually update to the latest firmware of another country:
1) Manually installing the latest update from BTU UK will stop me from receiving future OTA updates? and if no, will I be receiving the OTA updates in the future from UK or PT??
2) My device with the currently firmware has no bloatware from any network (was bought unlocked), if I upgrade to the latest firmware from BTU UK, will I still have no bloatware? (or bloat will be installed?)
3) Will I have any problem from installing a firmware from other country (being both for the same model: SM-G935F)?
Thank you very much in advance! :good:
I have everything ready to make the manual flash, just want to clear this things out before I do it.
Thanks

Each country or region has it's own CSC which can be easily flashed
by itself without the need to odin flash a different country's full firmware.
The only time you need to think about bloatware is if you flash a specific
carrier's firmware like perhaps vodaphone and most other carriers add
their own bloatwares. But if you only flash the regional firmware for your
country or region like BTU UK you will not end up with bloatware.
Good luck and happy flashing!

Future OTA's will not be a problem if you have flashed
the proper CSC for your country before trying to update
future firmwares.

So you are saying that first I should change my CSC to the UK, then flash the latest firmware via Odin and won't have to worry about future updates? Can't I simply flash the latest UK BTU firmware and it will change the CSC and get me the latest firmware in once?
