Anyone else who uses the S-View cover notice that you cannot pause or change tracks for Spotify or Google Play Music apps with the cover closed? Does this feature only work with the Samsung Music app?

I have the Note 4 s-view cover now and now I want to see Notifications in the cover.
Is there a mod or app for it or do i have to open the cover to see it?
*I want to see whatsapp and Facebook notifications in the cover screen
