I'm missing a font. You can use a 3rd party app like Ifont as a work around for now.

Hi everyone. I have installed this ROM to my SM-T231 (3G model) and everything works great except one important problem. After i have installed this ROM, Google Play Store started to consider my device as some kind of wifi only tablet and does not allow me to install mobile phone specific apps like WhatsApp. It says that my device is not compatible with this app. The settings section of Google Play Store indicates that i have no carrier. This was not the case before i have installed this ROM.
Anyone have any clue what might be the cause of this problem? What can i do to make Google Play Store to recognize my device`s SIM Card and phone capability again? Should i change device name or ROM build name in "build-prop" with Kernel Auditor? Any idea?
Btw, i can use my tablet`s phone call features without any problem. I can make and receive calls but Google Play Store considers my device as wifi only tablet for some reason
Update:
I just noticed that my carrier company`s Android app cannot detect my phablet`s brand/model name nor any of it`s features like 3G/4G capabilities. Again, this wasn't the case before installing this ROM.
Now I really started to believe that something is wrong with build.prop parameters of this ROM or somehow incompatible for my device

[Q] "The item cannot be installed in your country" - Marketplace error

i can't seem to install most apps from marketplace, eg angry birds. It prompts me that it cannot be installed in my country (Malaysia) but i was able to download it on my Galaxy S before and i can even download angry birds and other apps on my Samsung Galaxy tab without any issues. What's the issue with Iconia A500? Anyone with similar issues?

same issue with me in indonesia.
it is like the market is very limited to our region
same in Saudi Arabia for some apps. also somehow, I couldn't find a lot of essential apps like flash player
Also in Jordan
i bought the ACER A500 yesterday & i don't have full download access either on many of the apps any solution!? it does not make sense google has just opened the paid applications segment to many countries including Jordan last week!
Could someone here help us please...
P.S. my phone has no problem in downloading any of the apps free & paid!
To access the market in unsupported countries you will have to set up a vpn to connect through. If you connect through an american vpn you will have full market access

hey everybody, major props to all the devs and everyone helping out on xda in general. So the whole "country" issue when it comes to installing apps is the same in dubai. I rooted my a500, installed tor n orbot and got them working with firefox... also installed marketenabler, not exactly sure about how its supposed to work... I long press any of the fake networks and choose the "run now" option. What's the right thing to do next? Total android noobie here and any help would be most appreciated. Thanks guys
If you can compile a small list of apps that you would like to download that are free (or not free if I happen to have them) that you would like to obtain, let me know and i'll place them in my Dropbox for download on here. Since i'll be doing this from my own account, though, try to keep the list to a minimum. So discuss the list amongst yourselves and try to narrow it to no more than 5-10 apps and i'll see what I can do!

Edit:
Something else you can try is www.4shared.com. If you search for apk files you may have pretty decent results too.
I have noticed that the Google Market on Android 3.0 is much more aggressive in enforcing the location limitation :-(
I was able to overcome the limitation and download some US-specific apps by following these steps on an rooted device:
1. run Market Enabler and choose a US carrier
2. make your tab location-blind by going to settings / location & security / uncheck all of the following: "use wireless network", "use GPS" and "use location for Google search"
3. go to Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / All / Market. Click "Force stop" and click "clear data" (AFAIK, no important data will be lost, Market will retrieve the list of installed Apps automatically)
4. Activate US VPN account
5. run Market.
I now can download all types of goodies. Your mileage may vary. HTH.

That's one heck of a generous offer and finally a solution... for some. Btw I think this is the first time this country/appmarket problem has been resolved. No other sound sources for a solution on the internet. You gentlemen r rockstars.
Which makes the persistence of my problem all the more frustrating. How would u suggest I use a U.S. vpn? I tried bestfreevpn since it obviously worked for the last post-er. Nothing happened, app market wouldn't stop 'loading' and internet browsing also stopped working (the telecom big brother in dubai is hitler on steroids, I'm sure they've got every thing to do with this and every other global tragedy). Anything I can do with orbot, tornetwork? Coz I tried accessing the app market thru firefox and it thought my IP was based in germany. I've also created a U.S. based gmail account but that didn't make any diff either.
Again, sorry for the noobieness and thanks.

[Q] Android Device Manager not seeing phone - solved

Since I can't delete my own thread, I will post the answer to my stupidity here. Moderators, please feel free to delete this if you think that is best. Somehow in Google Play settings I had hidden the phone in question. I have no recollection of doing this nor do I know why I would have done that, but nonetheless my phone was not checked as a visible phone and therefore was not showing up in Google's Android Device Manager.
Original Question... misplaced my phone today and I discovered that when I go online to find it it is not seen on Google's Android device manager website. The phone is not even listed as one of my devices (and yes, I am using the correct account). I have since found the phone and I can verify that Android device manager is cheked under the security settings. I am rooted and I have frozen some apps but nothing that I think would cause Android device manager to not work. I have deactivated and reactivated ADM to no avail. No matter wat i do i can I get my phone to show up online. This could be problematic if I were to ever really leave my phone somewhere and need to find it.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I may be missing? Is there an app I may be frozen but should not have or something else I may have done? I do have xposed installed with a few modules but nothing that I would think would affect the service.
I tried the clearing data in Google settings apk as suggested for other phones, but no luck.
Thanks for this. I'm guessing this was my problem on my note II.

Its a new feature in google and already mentioned everywhere.
Why did you open a new thread for such a common question.

I am sorry for being a noob, but is there a work around? Because I am at place where I don't have WiFi facilities and also I won't be returning to my home network anytime soon.
No sorry. It's a known issue with no current work around that I know of.

Auto answer call via Bluetooth or headset

I need your help! Recently I tried installing Samsung's Call application to replace this current one that came with this R.R rom 7.1.2. I really miss this feature where you can have your calls answered automatically via headset or Bluetooth. This is something that I use quite often especially while driving, I am not distracted, call will just go through and I am all set. That is something I couldn't find here (If I missed it by any chance please let me know)
So I managed to download Samsung Call apk from apkure. Tried installing it only to receive "app not installed the package conflicts with an existing package". I quickly found out solution for that using APK editor from Google play store and managed to install this apk on my internal memory. And there it is, app installed, I thought I had it.. but.. I can't find app anywhere to put it on my main display, even though app is there, when I enter app manager, it's there, installed. Can anyone help me with this? Or if none of this works, can someone suggested any good app or something that can give me option of answering call via Bluetooth or headset automatically?

Google for work profile made parallel apps stop working

I have been using parallel apps feature of Oxygen OS on my new OP 6T and it was working just fine, until I setup my work email on my device, which by company policy, requires a work profile to be setup on my phone. While I was installing that, it said that another work profile already exists and need to be deleted. I clicked yes, and voila, next thing I know, my parallel apps ceased to exist. I went to settings and enabled the particular apps' parallel mode again. They did appear again, but now, both the normal and the parallel, basically open the same thing. It's as if they share the same meta data location. The "Parallel Apps Storage" section in default file manager is now completely empty too.
Has anyone worked with this combination of work profile and parallel app before? Have they faced the same issue? Is there a workaround?
Bump. Hoping to get some reply.
It's a requirement of Google for work, and others. MobileIron is one that does it also. There's a third that does it too that I can't remember the name of right now.
I think Google for work is the only one that removes the other profile. The rest will just nag you and you have to manually remove the profile yourself.
There's no work around that I know of.
I think that this will solve your issue (it worked for me): https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/...nal-application-and-not-the-clone-app.773811/
Having same issue
Link is not working for me. Could anyone help get to this thread? Thanks.

What link? The one in the thread posted? Or the Google drive in the OnePlus thread? Are you using it as a work phone with Google for Work?
