I'm trying to find and install a few of the G3 apps on stock LS980ZVE ROM. I've found a few apks and odex files but when i try to install then via ES File browser they don't show up. I'm after the G3 keyboard and messaging apps. Any help in this endeavour would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Im rtooted with sideloading enabled and on a deodexed system. I was wondering if it were possible to install apk's. Id like to use stock gallery and mms along with other stock android apps. On my captivate it was as easy as dropping the apk into the system/app folder. Ive tried this and it didnt work so well.....anyone have any ideas if this is possible?

I've installed a couple apps via adb. adb install appname.apk
You could try emailing it to you and trying to open it, I haven't tried that on the Atrix tho
Thats what im trying to narrow down. Ive never installed adb on my computer. I want to learn...i know i saw somewhere in the atrix forums a how to install android sdk and how to use it somewhere.....anyone point me in the right direction?

I love that the Honeycomb Gallery app allows for caching Picasa photos offline. I have yet to find a phone app that does it. Would it be possible to pull the app off my tab and load it on my phone? If so how?
Thanks.
You can extract it from the deodexed ROM in the development forum and try that. Download the ROM, unzip, find the apk and load it onto your phone's SD

great idea i will try that now. thanks.
Didn't work. Phone says it can't open it as an apk file.
Is your phone rooted? If so, back up your existing gallery sol (just in case), then use a root file explorer to move the new gallery into /system/app

Could someone tell me how to disable dual window in Cloudy Stock version 2.5? I would prefer the old multi tasking way. I can not find the settings for multi tasking. Thanks in advance!

I don't have that option. Is there a possibility my settings got corrupted or something? Maybe when I did the Titanium Backup? Is there a settings APK I get from the rom zip and maybe paste that into a system folder or something?
Edit: I pulled the settings APK from the rom zip and put it in the system app folder and set the permissions but still don't have that option. I'm on the D801 VARIANT...

The only way how to disable it was in the settings like in the help here below. If it doesnt appear then i have no clue since i dont even own the g2

Also went into Titanium Backup and froze both the dual window app and multi tasking framework and it still doesn't stop it... Lol geez. I'm doomed...

Does anybody have the stock LGhome apk and or the correct files for the stock gallery? I seemed to have deleted them on my stock backup ROM and can't find the correct files anywhere.

@carnivalrejectq It's late and people are already sleeping but the fastest way you can probably get it is from a custom stock rom. Or you have to wait for someone to provide it.
I'm on Boost Mobile. I can't seem to find the correct files. I've plucked the gallery files and used root explorer to place them in system apps before but it didn't work. EDIT : Case solved. Close thread if needed. I found both and got them able to work.

Hi everyone! Sorry for my english, I'm Argentinean. Need your help I deleted the defult browser on android lollipop (5.0.2) I have the LG G2 AT&T(D800) version with Cloudyfa's 3.3 ROM, and now I can't set the UC browser as my default browser, someone can send me the browser.apk file to restore back it? Thanks a lot ! Regards from Argentina !!!!
You can re download the zip file of the rom (if you deleted it) , and extract the file from it. It will be in the system directory somewhere; search for it.
