Hi everyone,
i am having a SM-G900F (it is t-mobile). It is on stock lollipop LRX21T.G900FXXU1BNL9 with modem and bootloader BOB7 (which i flashed a week ago).
I have problems since the last 2-3 days, my phone is connected to a working WiFi or mobile data and everything seems alright, but it isn't, i don't have any internet access. I have to turn of WiFi or mobile data and turn it on and eventually it starts working again :S
Does anyone has an idea what the problem may cause and how should i fix it? Thanks in advance
EDIT: Also if i take out the battery of my phone and turn it on afterwards, it turns off but with a black screen, and i get a "System fc", and i have to try to turn it on a few times to get it work like it should, but if i turn off the phone without taking out the battery it turns on just fine everytime
First thing Id try is clearing CACHE from Recovery
Did you factory reset after updating to Lollipop from KK? It is needed to get rid of left over bugs / files from KK

When i bought the phone (used) it already had lollipop on it. I tried clearing cache+dalvik cache but still the same, but didn't tried a factory reset, right now i am downloading a custom rom, will wipe everything and see what happens after that.
Some strange thing that i noticed is, that the internet now won't work for any app escept for viber, on viber it works without problems
Right now i have flashed another ROM with wipe-ing everything before and i have still problems with the internet :S
i don't know what do to now :/
EDIT: Data is working, but wifi connects but no internet :/
EDIT2: I've found out what the problem is, it wasn't my phone, it was some weird virus which changed my routers DNS settings

Hi,
I recently flashed CM 7.2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1550469) on my girlfriend's phone and ever since she hasn't been able to send texts from time to time.
Her network also seems to be switching, she has a Virgin Prepaid card but now her network switches between Orange and T-Mobile (UK). She sometimes is able to send texts, but usually she can't.
I have no idea what's causing this? I'm thinking of going back to stock rom, but I can't find it anywhere.
I hope somebody can help us,
Thanks!
wiped data / factory reset ?

Already reflashed the rom (with data wipe / factory reset), same problem.
Also had this problem, with PCFighter's Cm7, the only thing that worked was reboot when this happened. Also try to switch on & off airplane mode, to see if it reconnect, but usually I had to reboot. Don't know if this could be useful.

A reboot doesn't help I'm afraid.
Hello I have a rooted Galaxy S5. My bluetooth was working fine as of yesterday now today when I go to turn it says turning on and then just goes back to off...the only thing I've done as of late is edited a system file to allow write capabilities to the SD card and installed pandora patcher...please let me know if you have any suggestions to a fix...thanks!
Ps I've tried reboot, clearing cache, and taking the battery out

I'm actually experiencing the same problem.
I don't know how long it's been going on, as I typically don't use BT. I'm experiencing the same symptoms as the OP - I try to turn it on - it tries to come on - then goes back off.
I've disabled much of the bloatware, so I opened TiBu to see if there's anything that I've frozen that might cause BT issues. None of them would seem to cause the BT issues I'm experiencing.
Any ideas for me/us to try?

How did you get this fixed, I'm having the same problem: Edited file to allows 3rd party apps to write to the SD card, but had issue so reverted to backup file I created prior to editing original. But BT still not functioning even after numerous reboots.
same here
Same problem here. I noticed bluetooth stoped working after installing juice defender. Dont know if thats the cause. But clearing cache, factory reset, uninstalling apps, etc. Hasnt worked.I read where someone reflashed in odin and it worked. Will an odin flash void knox or my warranty? Sprint galaxy s5 rooted. Stock rom
Same problem here...
I have done factory reset, clean wipe via recovery and reinstalled rom.
Still the Bluetooth acts as if it is goona turn on but does not.
Problem fixed but at a cost
I had the same problem thats being discussed in here.
I was rooted with stock rom on the latest build NK2, I also modified the xml file so I could write to the ExtSdCard and it didnt work so I put it back to original and somehow my bluetooth got messed up after that. I would attempt to turn on but would only go back to off.
What I did was I unrooted by going into CF SU settings and chose the unroot option, I flashed the stock nk2 firmware and did a factory reset and that got bluetooth working for me again.
I'm going to stay unrooted until lollipop drops for Verizon S5.
Hope this helps somehow.
Rooted Vz S5 and about a week ago, updated Kernel via Odin (OTA updates were frozen). Worked fine, seemed to have no issues. Last night, however, any connection to Wi-Fi network forces a soft reboot. Leaving Wi-Fi on but unconnected does not cause the problem, but anytime it connects to router, every 30 seconds or so, it rolls into a soft reboot. So, for now, stuck sucking data. Any ideas on what may be the problem? I noticed also some odd looking artifacts on screen when the phone goes past the splash screen to lock screen. Bit of an android noob, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if this was just a coincidence, but I had also received a notice from Google "advising" me to uninstall towel root.
Cheers

Did you update the rest of the system, or just the kernel? System version must match kernel version.
Thanks for the reply. I update the system as well. However, I did not do a complete wipe at the time. So, I went back, wiped, and flashed over again to the updated system and kernel, re-installed towelroot, flashed the old kernel, and then back to updated kernel again. Pain in the rear, (as all the apps and data had to be restored), but it looks like everything is working as it should now. Kind of an odd bug as nothing else appeared to be causing problems other than connecting to Wi-Fi.
Folks,
Strange one. Just upgraded to Lollipop 5.0 and now when I move out of range from a WIFI access point, my phone DOES NOT automatically switch to mobile data. Previously on KitKat 4.4.2, where this would occur automatically.
Strange thing is that when I manually switch off the WIFI transmitter on my phone, it then switches to mobile data.
Don't want to have to do this all the time when I'm out of range!
Any advice would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Mine did that once, clearing cache from recovery and rebooting the phone fixed it
Turn off smart network switch too from wifi settings
Cheers.
Will give this a try.
Also remember that after upgrading from KK to LP, leaves a load of rubbish files behind from KK that cause all sorts of problems, it is highly advised to factory reset after upgrading, you'll find most people here have done that and it solves a majority of problems
Ok cool.
Looks like I might have to do this.
Have tried clearing cache from recovery and have also disabled autoswitching - still getting the same issue.
Will try a factory reset.
This is on two standard Galaxy S5's, with standard ROM, etc - not rooted, or anything else.
Every time I turn off WiFi, or enable Mobile Hotspot, I get 'Unfortunately System UI has stopped'.
To fix I have to Power off/on the phone.
(Turning on WiFi is no problem, just turning it off.)
I have gone into 'Safe Mode', and same issue, so it looks to not be a bad App.
I have also uninstalled 'Google' updates, and again no change...
Any thoughts?
All of a sudden my S5 showed the exact same error message for no aparent reason... I didn't do anything, and now I can't use my phone at all because of that bug. It happens on every boot so I can't even unlock my phone. Tried reinstalling everything, ROM, recovery, kernel, with/without root = still same, what just happened here??
EDIT: Same thing if I'm in Safe Mode -_-
Seeing noone knows a solution here's what I did yesterday.
1. Backed up all my stuff from internal storage to the sd card
2. Did factory reset in TWRP recovery
3. Flashed completely stock official firmware from Samsung
4. Waited for it to boot up and try to restore some of my settings (it restored all folders on their places, made same amount of home screens as I had before the reinstall and downloaded all of my previously installed apps from the Play Store, ofcourse without the cracked ones, and it also restored most apps' data as well so it's not as bad as you may think to factory reset and reinstall everything)
5. Started rooting, flashing TWRP again, installing Dolby Audio, Xposed and everything I had before, took me one full day to set it up as it was before.
Now when I set it up I always make a nandroid backup from when things are working fine, in case it goes crazy for no reason again... Good luck!
when the wifi radio is acting weird, a dirty flash of your current ROM susually fixes is as its probably a radio issue. Id do that before doing anything drastic like the boot-n-nuke Odin flash and starting from scratch (which will fix that issue)
I don't think I have a ROM issue, as I have two S5's, and both have the same issue... and both are standard ROMs.
I will do a factory re-set on one at some point, but this looks to be a 'simpler' issue.
I have tried a full Cache delete, as well as other 'clean' processes.
Nothing works.
I tried to re-flash my stock ROM as @youdoofus said but still had that annoying popup. Try everything you can think of, if all else fails, reset.

well, you can wipe cache, and dalvik 3x each (not kidding about the 3x each), then dirty flash the rom, pray to the gods of android, reboot. If failure occurs, its Odin Nuke time unless you want to try to flash an individual radio file by itself (not recommended)
