Ive run into a problem and need some help.
im running stock 5.0 with multi-boot and have autodroid 1.2 as a secondary rom for nethunter.
all was running well untill i used the "flash image gui" while booted into autodroid to flash the m4xx3dout .img
now my internal 5.0 rom will not boot it just loops at the circular-wavy-dots lol, i can still boot autdroid however. so still have access to storage and all my data (thanks multi-boot). autodroid rom is still showing as kangaroo kernel.
ive tried flashing the kexec_50_final zip in the "flash img gui app as well as in multiboot recovery to no avail.
any ideas?
No one?

After having no issues with flashing ROM's, radios etc for over 6 months i've recently encountered a problem. When trying to update to CM7.0.3 from CM7.0.1 i had a system cannot mount error and was unable to flash any new ROM as a result. To try to fix this i formatted system and restored to a CM7 ROM and everything seemed fine. From here i can flash a ROM but when booting the new ROM it does not include gapps (even when selected to install from clockwork) and the system cannot mount error occurs again.
In short, everything seems to work fine currently but as soon as i flash a new ROM i get a system cannot mount error. The same thing happened with a CM nightly and so im thinking it is not just an isolated problem with a specific build.
Any help would be much appreciated. On a side note, on the restored ROM im currently using i have a LordMod Kernel installed, not sure if this would effect anything as when the problem was first encountered i did not.
Thanks.
Restore to a working ROM using your backups.
Boot into bootloader and then into fastboot.
Download ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0.2.8 from HERE
Unzip and run install-recovery-windows.bat. This will flash the latest recovery for you.
Now try again.
Yeh that worked perfectly, thanks alot.
Hello,
my phone was working like a charm with cm 7.1 , Siyah Kernel, clockworkmod recovery mod 5.0.2.
I decided to upgrade my Siyah Kernel from 2.0 beta 8 to v2.
I used the QR code from Xda forum. Phone downloaded kernel, then once download finished, opened Rom Manager app, then invite me to install the new .zip file.
I usually do it manually, in rebooting in recovery and installing the .zip file in recovery mod, but I wanted to try this way.
Now my phone doesn't boot, hanf on on Samsung logo. No recovery mod available, only download mod.
Tried to reinstall ClockworkMode recovery 5 with Odin, but nothing happens. The yelow box stays yellow, and message hans on at Setup connection.
I alos tried to flash P-SBL.tar with odin, but it failed.
So, what can I do??
EDIT : Issue solved. Retried with Odin and ClockworkMod. This time I booted in recovery, phone booted in it and installed new kernel, and the booted in cm 7.1. I do think this issue came from Rom Manager.
So far as i know, using rom manager with the S2 is a mistake.
The S2 dosnt like rom manager much, and it can end up in a lot of problems up to a semi bricked phone.
Glad you solved it , but i recommend to avoid rom manager for now
I am trying to use MultiROM v5, however, I do not know how to patch my installed stock 4.2.1 ROM with the "kexec_kernel_42.zip" patch. I have so far done:
1. Flashed "multirom....zip" via recovery
2. Flashed "twrp modified recovery.img" via recovery
3. Attempted to install Ubuntu (Not working, keeps throwing error)
How do I flash the kernel?
Flashing The Kernel
Okay this is my first post but I have been through the process myself and now dualboot ubuntu 13.04 and android.
The kernel is flashed in the same way as the multirom zip. Hope this helps.
Also two questions, what recovery are you using and where in that recovery did you flash the modded twrp image?
Last I remember you couldn't flash a custom recovery from recovery...
Also just have to makes sure; your tab is rooted right?
Hi there.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 and I’m using TWRP Recovery 6.0.4.4.
I tried to flash a nightly-version of CyanogenMod (cm-10.2-20131101-NIGHTLY-jfltexx.zip). I did a Factory Reset before flashing, TWRP said it had been successful.
When I tried to boot my phone, I can see the "SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 GT-I9505" logo, here it got stuck. I can not see the cyanogen boot animation.
Though MD5 hashes and file sizes are ok, I tried another ROM: SuperNexus http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2407616
Here it was exactly the same. My device gets stuck even before the boot animation.
I was so desperate, that I tried to format my complete internal storage. Flashing the ROMs was successful again, I could boot both ROMs CM and Supernexus then. But after I turned off my device I can't boot any more. Again I can not see the boot animation.
I have already tried it with PhilZ and CWM. I flashed them using my current recovery.
Any advice?
I am sorry for my English, if you need more detailed explanation, please ask. I tried to describe everything as detailed as I can.
Can you get into download mode? You may have to flash a stock ROM to get it to working again. Was the phone previously rooted?
And are you currently on a stock ROM or coming from a custom ROM?
Yeah, I can get into Download mode.
Well, I am not sure what ROM I'm currently using since I wiped everything. Previously I had FoxHound ROM, samsung-based pre-rooted custom ROM.
Have you tried flashing a custom Kernel?
Sounds like what I had when I tried to flash a TW Kernel for a AOSP ROM.
If you can't get into recovery, go into download mode and flash the latest CWM. Got my phone working.
FoxHound ROM installed a custom Kernel, "Ausdim Kernel" I think.
Now I have CWM 6.0.3.2 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2279579
Not sure if this is the latest version ... I can't find an Odin-flashable *.tar
Anyway it doesn't work too. This recovery can't even flash CM, it gets stuck at "opening update package ..."
Sorry its a bit late.

Use them. This may help as a tutorial to follow loosely but that was for non working WiFi.

I am currently using TWRP 2.8.5.2.
I had previously used CM11 but wanted to flash Paranoid Android due to the calling bug. Did a Factory Reset (and then chose all options for Advanced Wipe) and tried to flash Paranoid Android but everytime I do it boots back to TWRP. Tried CM12 instead and the same happens.
Upon connecting my phone into my PC the only files I see inside the sdcard are the cm12 zip, gapp zip, and a folder named TWRP.
Can anyone recommend any solutions? I've been at it for the past few hours, thanks.
I am not an expert but.. If you are on nexus device Try flashing factory image. Then install recovery and root. And then what ever rom you want to install..
