[Q] Capturing to Gallery Directly With S Pen - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
The title is pretty self-explanatory.
Rather than going through the fuss of scrapbooking etc. is there a method/software/shortcut that enables direct snapping of the image selected by S Pen into the Gallery ? Does something like that even exist ?
Thanks in advance.

MOSTLY SOLVED: Gallery app... photos showing *oldest first*?

I've actually been *pleasantly* surprised with the Vibrants gallery app (gallery3d.apk), though I'm stymied that it seems to default to showing photos in an "oldest first" format. Is this true for everyone else? Anyone know how to change this behavior?
Thanks,
Yip

Mine does the same thing. Kind of a pain when you have a lot of photos and have to scroll through tons of them to get to the latest pics.
yea this I find annoying, wonder how we can hack it...
Hmmm...so others are seeing the same thing, eh? I guess we're hoping someone finds a workaround for this. It's actually a very full-featured gallery app, so I'm surprised that something like this was left out -- seems like a natural option to set. In fact, it *should* be the default setting, if you ask me.
Hopefully someone will solve this AND/OR it'll be fixed in the next OS refresh.
+1 same annoying behavior. for the 3d gallery app looking so nice and polished, and the sharing having so many options, the basic preferences is quite lacking. :/
such as sort, delete confirmations, and so on and so forth
Partially solved!
Quick update on this:
I found another thread that allows you to replace the stock Vibrant camera app with the stock Captivate camera app -- basically because it's easier to use, selecting scenes, and so forth. Really a nice update.
Anyhow, I was noting that the new camera app placed everything in a "Camera" folder instead of the "Photos" folder. Rather than fuss with it, I just used Astro to move all of the photos to the new location, and then I deleted the old Photos folder.
So.... I opened up the Gallery app and voila! All of the photos are now sorting properly: newest first! Still no way to select any other sort option, but this is DEFINITELY the proper default setup.
Hope that helps someone else out there!

[Q] Saving the Zoom Level/position in an image Gallery for certain pictures

Hey guys,
I don't know if this has been requested before (cause it is pretty hard to describe the problem, therefore the search didn't really get me any answers) some of the users here in germany would really like to have a gallery, where you can save on which level and where you zoomed in into a picture.
For example, if you are sliding through all your photos etc. and you see something special so you zoom in, you wanna save that zoom level / Position for the next time whenever you view that picture.
The device we are talking about is an Asus Eee Pad transformer but I think other tablets would benefit from this feature as well as you tend to zoom in on 10 inch screens a lot to see all of the details e.g. of the pictures which were taken with a Canon/Nikon Camera.
So is there anyway to achieve this with already existing image viewers or could anyone implement it into an existing app?
Greetings

[Q] Google+ significantly reducing Photosphere quality?

Hi there.
Initially I noticed that uploading to google+ reduces the resolution of the photospheres but that's not that bothersome. What is, though (if true) is that the stitching seems to be a lot worse when uploaded compared to what I see on my screen. How is that possible? Anyone else experienced something similar?
Take a look at this: here's the photosphere uploaded in g+: http://goo.gl/iOQCM
and compare it to the screenshot I've attached.
Well, the Google+ viewer distorts!
If I look at the front 'pyramid' and have it in the center of the screen, it looks fine. If I rotate the view so it is in the lower right corner, they are not round any more - which looks a bit like stitching errors.
With the pyramid just behind it to the right it is even easier to spot. Put it in the middle: perfect. Move it to the right edge, or bottom right corner: ugly.
Mind you that another kind of distortion is normal: if something is in the corner or at the edge at a wide angle view, it will look stretched. The car for example looks longer when at the edge - that is supposed to happen. But it also gets wavy, and that is not supposed to happen.
On the photo (viewed in a normal picture viewer) non of this waviness is present. The fountains (or pyramids if you wish ) have almost perfect curves, as seen on the screen shot. And as far as I know and have read around, there isn't more to the photosphere other than the picture. It doesn't contain any information of the pictures it has stitched together, so all the stitching work should've been done on the device. It seems very strange the google+ viewer would show it like this.
I just wanted to ask is this normal behaviour for google+, does anyone have similar observations?
The few I have uploaded on google+ seem fine. Don't really notice a difference except that you don't have to pan up and down as much to see the ceiling/sky or floor/ground.

I dont think this option exists in the S4. I have the i9505 but it should be the same. The only option that would be close would be the vignette filter, but its not really the same. You could just use an editing/camer app to add the effect, Camera360 has a tiltshift feature which creates a similar effect.

Well apparently. ...the S4 camera is smart enough to judge a macro image...and its suppose to focus automatically. ..buuuut we all know that's a flop....I recommend Camera FV5....its paid...but you will definitely like it....it can directly focus macro and blur the background. ...just follow the on screen tutorial...hope this helps
I just took this to see, and all I did was tap on the muffin and let the auto focus do the work. If it was angled at the ground it wouldn't blur, there needs to be distance significant enough to cause the natural blurring.
Not much help but it's not an add on or anything just how you line it up.

Is there a unit suited for my needs (Ute/Pick up)

Hi guys,
I'm not well read up on headunits and can't seem to find anything relating to my question.
I'm looking for a 1Din android headunit, but as I'm getting a canopy for my ute/pick up I won't be able to use the rear vision mirror as the view is obstructed. Is there a unit and reversing camera that can display a preview of the rear view camera on top of the android system e.g split screen or floating viewing app? I need to have a constant view of the rear while driving while also being able to interact with the system like maps, music etc. My understanding is that rear cameras have a straight video signal that cut in when put into reverse. I would still like this feature, but also to have a preview when not in reverse.
Hope I've made some sense of what I'd like. I'm just not sure if anythings out there and if there is, please recommend me something.
Cheers.
