I found a guide on androidxda(.)com (can't link directly to it since I'm a new poster) and I'm wondering if that will work or if you can point me in the right direction?
Reddit said you'll should know.
Thanks!

Hello fellow redditor. I assume you're referring to this method. It will work, however it will also void your warranty (if you have one, of course). You should not lose any data however.

Thanks, I downloaded your files, can you tell me the steps how to root my tablet without voiding warranty? I don't worry much about losing warranty since I probably wouldn't need to make a warranty claim, but I would rather keep the warranty if that is an option:

Ok thank you I just installed towelroot and now it says that I'm rooted in root checker. Is that all there is to it then? How do I know if my warranty is intact? Thank you for saving me so much hassle

If you used towelroot your warranty is fine but if you want to check you can use the Phone info app in the playstore. It should say your knox warranty void is 0x0.

Hi,
I tried to delete Knox from my Note 3 via Root Explorer. But now I just wanted to see if I could reinstall Knox by reinstalling the stock rom firmware for my device but it is not showing up though I think Knox is still on my phone but hidden. Does anyone have a foolproof method of getting Knox back to its original state?
On another issue, I've backed up my (rooted) Note 3 rom via CWM recovery, but when I try to restore it my Note 3 goes into a perpetual loop. Any solutions?

Hi All,
I tried unsuccessfully to root my i337M from Rogers (Canada). After multiple tries using Odin and finally trying to return it to stock, I now have no wifi (won't turn on) nor any sound.
I assume that the modem (fw) is not the same now after multiple flashing as the ROM that I flashed. I have been searching and have not found a way to remedy the situation.
Is there anyone who can refer me to the exact steps that I need to take in my situation?
Thanks in advance
Larry
Can you boot it into Recovery mode? If so do a factory reset and see if that cures it. If not, grab official files from sammobile. Then use Odin to flash it ( I have the same phone with Fido )http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SGH-I337M/RWC/
Then see how it works as that should fix it regardless
---------- Post added at 04:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:06 AM ----------
Then use TowelRoot to root it ( one click and no Knox 0x1 problems )
Thanks Harry,
I did it, thanks. I'm selling the S4 and was worried I semi-bricked it
Thanks again,
Larry

Looking to go back to stock Rogers as well... I downloaded an NI2 firmware from SamMobile and flashed with ODIN. Now I have no WIFI (can't enable it), and I see this is pretty common and will be trying a few things. However the fix for this seems to vary for everyone.
I am downloading an MK6 firmware now as this is what I think was on there when I bought it a long time ago and will try that. Is there a confirmed fix for this?
I found flashing another kernel did the trick, I flashed talexop and it works perfectly now.

FWIW... I purchased my phone on June 19, and was able to root it the next day using CF-Auto-Root by exactly following the directions in chainfire's thread. (It did trip Knox, but that wasn't a concern for me.)
Today I successfully installed Philz Recovery version 6.58.9 via Odin 3.07, exactly following the directions in this post from the main philz thread, and it worked fine.
There were a few mis-steps in the process where the root or recovery didn't "take" properly, but in each case it turned out I'd done something wrong in Odin - used the wrong file or left a box checked/unchecked.
Phone specs:
SM-G900W8 on Rogers
Build number LRX2IT.G900W8VLU1BOC1
Kernel version 3.4.0-4100894
Android version 5.0 stock (no upgrades applied before applying root or recovery)
So there may be hope for you?

Aw man, I'm so sorry. There goes the hopes I had for all the similar threads/posts with 900F devices.
However, it's quite rare to see the community here fail altogether. Give it some time - there'll be a solution soon!

Did you get this device rooted yet? I bought one of these today and it looks like I'm going to have to manually root it unless somebody can step in?

KingoRoot and Kingroot both worked for me :fingers-crossed:

Both of these are known to fail against this device, although I attempted to root with these to no effect.
Looks like the only sane way to root this device currently is via the pre-rooted option with Odin.

Well I would try oneclickroot but that apparently cost money to root via donating.
He tried kingroot and it would give him connection problems.
So idk,

Where you able to successfully root your G530R7? I have the exact same phone and wanted to root my phone to get backups off my old phone using Titanium Backup.
