Damn, okay mods can delete thread.

At least people can tell them that the nylon is crap. I've had mine in my case since day one and when I pulled it from the case the glue was bleeding through the nylon

I've had literally no problems with the nylon Fugitive87, and I've been caseless since launch day. I use it for work. And, i work in a mine. Ive even cleaned it with some pretty harsh solvents. I have had one small fiber fray up but a lighter made quick work of that. So speak for yourself.

C'mon man. I replied snarky because i felt he was being snarky, and by you replying the way you did you threw yourself into the "everyone" category you speak of.
If he were speaking for himself, he would have phrased his response more along the lines of " my nylon back hasn't held up so well, this **** don't seem very durable IMO"..

How old are you? 6.5?

Well to get this on topic, I commented that in my opinon (i) using a soft touch back like on the Moto X 2013 would be an improvement over both the BN or kevlar, (ii) coloured plastic would be preferable over painted plastic as it's chipped by the USB port and (iii) an official bumper accessory would be welcome. I like that they asked for your location too: hopefully seeing owners of the Turbo/Maxx from Europe will show them how much people over here want the phone.

A Question about Cases

I'm normally not one to run out and pick up a device right away, but this one was calling to me. Though I have to admit I'm a little worried is that there seems to be a almost no options as far as cases go. There's the official Acer one, and then there's a +$100 case, but as far as cases built for the A500 that's all I can find. Is that fairly common for a tablet that's been out as long as ours, or is it a sign that ours' will not be very well supported by the accessory makers?
I just bought the crappy Acer one. It's better than nothing. I for one hope otterbox makes one.

Something is stock in the bezel...

Hi,..guys,.
I was just wiping my phone with microfiber cloth and to my sharp eyes...just above the power button...I stumble upon an object that is stuck between the bezel or the bezel it self has a flaw?. it measures about 0.5cm straight vertical line. I tried to take it out with a paper ...it's the only object that is thinner to pass thru the side of the bezel...but the object wont budge. or maybe it was the plastic bezel it self. Can I return this phone? And get a replacement?
Pretty sure that Google wouldn't replace the phone as its physical damage and it isn't necessarily defective by any means. Just get a case and cover it.

I think it's a manufacturer's flaw....that object wound't be there so deep...at first place. or maybe it's the plastic bezel it self. Well I payed for a phone that doesn't come with a flaw right? So that's my justification.

I don't know what it is or how it got there. You're best thing to do is to ask them to see what they would do for you. You didn't notice it until just recently it could of due to user fault. The bezel affects absolutely nothing on the phone and is a cosmetic problem.
Like again, just contact them and see what they can do. No body here can say otherwise

Not only does that phone need to go back, you should also start an online petition and force Andy Rubin himself to answer for why a 0.5cm line could possibly make it through Quality Control.. Google fails us again

Haha reminds me of the strict quality controls of the iphone 5. There was an article stating they have to be perfect when the casing is made and when assembled it needs to be flawless. Now that's what you call quality control.

Can't blame them. They had to meet supply for its demand. At least on a good note they have a really nice rma. You get to keep your phone while they send your replacement in with a temporary charge. When they receive the original device they take the charge off.
Edit: that guy is using sarcasm or he is just a really bad troll. Andy rubin is the main guy for android os

Every device or product made will have some sort of manufacturing defect. Nothings perfect. What matters is how the company responds to it. Like I said, they have a good rma service and they should be able to take care of your problem
Production for Nexus 4 is done in South Korea not China. They don't use child labor there or overwork them on ridiculous hours.

Temporary charge so they assure you that you send your device back otherwise you'd be charged with two of them. You'll get your money back.
I don't understand why you make such a big deal about it and then you're worried about a TEMPORARY charge? It's there so you don't keep two N4s.
For units that have been damaged after delivery, you may be charged an additional restocking fee of either 25% or 50% of the original purchase price based on the severity of damage. If we receive a return which has been damaged beyond repair, we may return the item to you without issuing a refund.

Dropped my Xperia Z :(

I've just knocked my XZ off my sofa whilst on charge and it hit a tile from my fire place! Checked the phone thoroughly and was just about to go get a beer to celebrate when I noticed a small little crack on the side under the volume button :'(
Its not really noticeable tbh but I know it's there! I might get three to exchange it now and say somethings wrong with it as it will bug me like hell!
Dam this is first time I have been clumsy with a phone!

i don't think that will be necessary. they make shoes out of leather. reviewers are far from careful with review units and they were no doubt poking and prodding at them at the announcement. and if they do tear up, all you gotta do is give moto a call.

I'm willing to bet those scuffs were probably intentional by reviewers at the event just to see if it would.
Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk
Droid life review said the scuffs seem to make it look better as they accumulate. Not sure why he mentions the fact that leather doesn't like water, last I checked smartphones don't like water.
If you own leather things you know it is sensitive to scuff, but it will still last a long time. They let a company that is expert at it provide the material so they would know ahead of time how it'll be.
Overall it's a balanced review, definitely doesn't bash the device, he have a good command of viewership so it should help introduce the phone to a few more people.
Watching any review makes me so frustrated when I remember that Motorola brought MotoMaker to Mexico before Canada
Thats what she said!!

Kind of true and kind of false. Some of these stores are 3rd party retailers. They have their own inventory and at times have their own promotions. For example the one near my house smells and looks like T-Mobile, but it's owned and operated by a different company.

I've heard this from more than one source, it seems like the GG5 is less prone to breaks, but more prone to scratches. On a hardness scale I seen it got scratched at 3 and the S7 edge was like a 7 or 8. Mine is sitting in the box til I get my Xtremeguard and either The Spigen I paid for, or the promos Rinke sent me to review.
