Socer World Cup FREE on Evo

I had no idea, but ESPN is broadcasting the Soccer World Cup for free on Sprint TV. You can watch the U.S. playing Slovenia right now. I knew there was ESPN, but I never thought they would let us watch this event for free. I thought it was against FIFA rules, but I was wrong! Enjoy.
wow, thanks! watching it on Sprint TV now with 4G! 3G is little pixelated..
USA is down 2-1 right now.. GO USA!

UK XOOM advert.

I don't watch TV but I'm visiting family and saw a XOOM trailer.
Interrupted the family l conversation to say hey look it's my XOOM?!
Only my sister replied saying "what's your XOOM? "Lol.
Anyway, American Superbowl trailer was ace.
UK advert was rubbish, some Guy swiping the home screens, and showing Google maps 3d (which doesn't work in uk) in a robotic fashion.
Anyway, nice to see an advert finally, over here, needs a bit more effort though.

google maps 3d does work in UK in three cities I think?
Birmingham is one of them...
Woo, 3 cities
Macbots drool as I XOOM through the Galaxy to my hearts Desire.

[Q] Google Play Movies & TV in UK on Nexus 7

Hi Guys
I'm new to XDA but have been a long time visitor, I have pre ordered a 16gb Nexus 7 and cant wait but I had a Question
As stated at I/O the Nexus 7 comes with several extras such as $25 credit (£15 in my case) and a copy of Transformers the Movie, so i was wondering if we are to receive the copy of the movie, what are the chances of Google activating Movies & TV and purchases in the UK?
I know i can download movies using alternative methods but it would be great if it was possible to use Google Play Movies & TV
Thanks
The UK can access movies through the play store already, just not TV shows

Thanks i can see that but i would like to know about purchases as we can only rent as of now in the UK
Oh, i see. Sorry
i wouldn't expect anything anytime soon, especially seeing how we haven't even got google music in the uk yet.
for whatever reason media companies seem reluctant to allow decent movie/tv over the internet. all the offerings from lovefilm, netflix, film4 and the like are pretty disappointing.

couldnt agree more about the lack of decent tv/movies
I have got google music on my htc one s.... although i cant download music i have managed to add my own collection to it :victory:
i don't understand the attitude of the film companies. it's almost impossible to get decent content online, and then they wonder why people download stuff illegally.
mate of mine wanted to watch a film, but there's no rental store near him and he didn't want to wait 2-3 days to get a postal rental. so he got it off torrent and the film studios lost a few quid. their loss not his.
at least we've got spotify in the uk for music - and if you can afford a cheap NAS it's a great way to get at your music on the go.

I bought the ouya controller online from bestbuy for $17.99. Should be here tomorrow. I mentioned it on another site and didn't think to mention it here.
Actually went into target (rarely shop there) and for the first time saw ouya on the shelf. It was 80 bucks. Hard to walk away from but thought I'd look online first for a better deal. Didn't find one but did get what I thought was an incredible bargain on the controller. And since aftv can play ouya games I'm gonna hold off. Anyways...online bestbuy $17.99...pass it on
Oh crap, your better deal than mine but I'll order best buy online.
BTW thanks for info.

[Q] Is there still a great number of users that use the nexus player?

I'm looking into purchasing two nexus players so I can play games on both of them and play multiplayer with them, but is there still a great user base where if I were to buy these devices, would the support cease shortly or have a great longevity?
It's not even been out for a year. And now it's getting it's first really big OS update.
So I'd think that the user base is currently increasing. Despite some people who might switch to the Shield TV if they are into gaming.
I think shield is a better choice if you're into gaming, although casual games works great
Thanks for letting me know, I went ahead and bought the last two at my local store so I thank you for the advice, and among gaming I use my Xbox for that too low I just enjoy a bit of android gaming here too
Hopefully you bought them at $49 each... On sale at BestBuy & Walmart.

you know how much I paid for mine back in April? exactly double that amount.
can't believe you can get it for all almost the same price as a Chromecast in those places.
btw the joypad didn't come cheap either.
Same here. And now I get to watch the damn thing bootloop.
Sigh... guess I'll wipe my cache again.
