Phone : Nexus 4
ROM: Cyanogen Mod 10.1
I've seen numerous apps such as "Launcher Pro" and "ADW Launcher" which allow you to change the stock icons on cyanogen mod, i have a icon.apk which is installed however i would like to use these icons using the default cyanogen mod launcher trebuchet rather than having to use a third party launcher such as ADW is this possible if so how??
Will i need to replace each icon individually? Surely this is built into cyanogen mod via the themes section but i cant seem to fiqure out how!?

no this is not possible on the stock launcher unless you download and apply a full theme, just search "CM10 themes" in the play store. also, you could use a different 3rd party launcher like apex or nova, each look exactly like the stock launcher except they have way more customization. both of these are available on the play store as well
Is it possible to add these icons to the Cyanogen Mod zip then update the os?

Than no app can work for you becuase gmd's hide soft key does not modify any thing in system and build prop
let me know which rom u r using right now
btw did you tried fullscreen app in playstore it creates its own systemui bar so that you can recieve incoming call etc
yeah, I've tried any possible apps to hide the navbar in stock ROM without removing the statusbar, but no luck.
Currently I'm on CM 10.1.2, using expanded desktop feature.
I'm trying to get some samsung stock apps for CM10 too!
Hello, actually Stock Jelly Bean 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 would crash when you add the line to system/build.prop
I'm currently using JB 4.2.2 in this thread and the qemu.hq.mainkeys tweak worked :fingers-crossed:
But that's just on P3110, because I don't own the the others
Hello guys,
Im building a custom rom which will be pure kitkat base on AOSP and will be name Bleach Xtreme. The problem is that for me to make it original and unique I need to theme it in white instead of any Black from kitkat. I like to see something different and unique. How can I archive theming to white the status bar, navigation background and same for the System Settings, SystemUI like popups etc and few system apps like calculator, etc?
I can use the help and willing to donate if ask or need it.
Thanks
Anyone have some time to guide? I see my concept was already stole on a new rom. Lol
Try using XPOSED Framework with XBLAST TOOLS and/or the Frame work.apk
Not much of a Dev but I know a Lil bit

Well the problem is that i know how to do that. I want to theme manually the framework-res.apk, Settings.apk and the systemui.apk. I want to theme the rom itself.
Thanks very much for your help
Not sure if this is the right place or not, but I just got my s5 tonight and I would like to theme it a bit by changing some icons. On my old phones, I would just pull framework res or sysUI and replace the pngs I wanted to, then push it back to the phone. It does not look like that is an option since it looks like most everything is qmg now. Should I use Samsung theme designer or do custom roms play nicer with custom themes? I am rooted, but I have not installed safestrap or a rom yet.
Check out themes n apps section.. or search for an app on xda called qmg2png. It'll convert qmg to png for editing

Take a look: HERE
Sorry but I have explained badly. I want to replace original app by custom in zip rom to be flashed....so to do setup and startup with new app and without stock one.......
Just add the new apk's to system/app or system/priv-app, and on KK set the correct permissions and add the libs to system/lib with root explorer or something similiar.
Any launcher from playstore can replace the stock tw, i always put third party apps as user apps. Cause i use Atom Launcher, but somebody wanna Nova, Apex.. etc..
Without the stock gallery, you can't change the lockscreen wallpaper, but some xposed modules (like GravityBox KK) can do that. If you remove the gallery, remove the camera also. Lenovo camera it's a great choise for stock. I wouldn't replace the stock phone and sms. I got themed phone, contacts and sms. They working great...
i rare open xda forum... if you wanna details, type on [email protected]
Great holidays

actually I replace stock camera+gallery and browser by lighter ones and it seems to run well
I syppose that phone and contacts are linked and maybe SMS so maybe it's better to leave untouched!!!
