[Q] SM-T530NU Stock ROM Europe? - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought an SM-T530NU in the US, thinking it would work OK in the UK. The only problem is that it doesn't get Wi-Fi Channels 12 and 13. I asked if there was a solution to this here but didn't get any replies that helped.
I'm wondering if there is a stock Europe ROM I could use?
Note that this is the Galaxy TAB 4 10.1" with Wi-Fi (no 3G) and an IR module.

I gave you my tuppence worth on the Wi-Fi channel question just now, but as for this question. I'm about 95% certain that unfortunately for you, Samsung only officially releases firmware builds for the U.S. (XAR Region: Cellular South) and Canada (XAC Region: Canada) for this tablet model. Now there is a firmware build (analogous to but not the exact same as a stock rom) for the UK region (BTU Region if I remember correctly) for the regular SM-T530, but that one doesn't have the IR module so you'd lose that functionality. That's the deal for firmwares.
As for custom roms, repey6 made a trimmed-down but mostly unaltered stock rom for our model here. However it's based off the U.S. firmware build so I don't think it would offer you the solution you're looking for. If you're feeling particularly brave, Cyanogenmod 11 (designed for SM-T530) is working for our model too, if you want a drastic solution.

Thanks, I've replied in the original thread. I'd like to keep with stock for now.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Source Code

Even though Samsung hasn't released their stretched out Galaxy Note, they have released the firmware for their SHW-M480K/SHW-M480S through the Samsung Open Source Website. Both files are 175 MB in size, and are the South Korean versions of the firmware. I am looking forward to the development this tablet is going to get

International 3G version: GT-N8000
International Wifi version: GT-N8010
USA Wifi version (Adds IR blaster, no other known differences): GT-N8013
There's a good chance the SHW-M480W has some differences from the N8010/N8013 - For example, most Korean devices have DMB receivers.
Right now, there is not much released for the wifi variants, as the international 3G version (N8000) was released more than a week earlier than the wifi version - N8013 didn't become available until last Thursday.

There is nothing available for N8010/8013 yet... As I said before, the device wasn't released until last Thursday. Things like this take time.

I have a SHW-M480W and I just downloaded the zip file of the JB update through your link.
Do you know how to install it?
Is it even possible as I read many tutorials involving Odin with code/modem/csc/.pit but they doesn't seem to apply here... (the zip contains Kernel.tar.gz and Platform.tar.gz files)

You are completely missing the point of those files. They are source code, not install images.

[Q] Firmware: same as where the Note 3 is bought

Quicky... I have big issues with bluetooth on my Note 3 when connecting to a carkit. I flashed the UK MJ7 version when it came out as one of the first firmware updates. It is on this firmware that I experience problems. I thought it might be an idea to try different firmware versions (and different modems) to see if this solves the BT issue.
My question is, is it best to flash the firmware that is from the same country where the Note 3 is from or is it best to use the firmware of the country where you actually use the phone? (In my case I have a polish model. I bought it cheap in the Netherlands. I use the Phone in the Netherlands)

[Q] N910QC CSC Difference

Hi guys.
I'm planning to buy Note 4 in my country, Turkey and they sell sth called N910CQ. I heard that they disabled 4G in that model. I'm not sure if it's about that or not because we don't have 4G here yet. My question is, is it ok to flash N910C stuff to N910CQ? I read that the only difference is CSC and I read that it's about Signals. Thank you.
I am using Note 4 N910CQ - Turkcell device running Russian Firmware (N910C). No issues at all. Device does support LTE unfortunately we don't have a LTE connection.
My phone's about screen says it's N910C not N910CQ

Oh great then! So we can flash kernels and roms for 910C. Do you know what are differences between C and CQ?
There is no differences between C and CQ. Q stands for Turkey nothing else. You can flash C rom to your device.
One thing you should pay attention is when you flash a C firmware instead of original CQ FW, model number shows N910C which makes easier to detect odin flashed firmware if you care about warranity. But anytime you can return to stock CQ with no problem.

[Q] Debranding/flashing of SM-T337V and switching to Europe

Hi,
I am wondering if there are any possibilities to unbrand SM-T337V (Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE from Verizon) and change it's localization setup to European one?
Will stock european ROM for Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE-A (SM-T335, i guess this is pretty much the same device) work properly once flashed into Verizon's SM-T337V tablet? What's the risk involved?
SM-T337V is currently working on KitKat 4.4.4 and i don't see any stock ROM's available for SM-T337V other than US-Verizon (which kind of makes sense) in samfirmware DB. Closest to this one appears to be SM-T335 multi-location (inc. Europe) stock KitKat 4.4.4.
Maybe anyone already did the similar and can share his experiences?
You never shouldnt flash otyer device's firmwar, and odin wont let you becuause you woud brick
Ok, this makes sense, looks that i need to stick to Verizon's branded US localized version of KitKat on SM-T337V.
Other question: is there any sort of way to introduce European localization and language packs on this tab? Sort of changing CSC on Sam phone? (In standard setup, I'm limited to pick from 5 or 6 languages)
Also, is there any way to unlock SIM from Verizon?

don't think so as there is no specific Latin American version for the S2 as in Tab S, Tab 4 etc. (no "M" version) that I know of. Maybe you may lose some country-specific apps that came with the ROM but maybe not a big issue. You can always flash back the original rom for your device. Keep that ready just in case.
Your device should be a multi-csc device. Download Samsung phone-info from play and post the available csc's under the CSC tab.
