It's solved in latest nightly.
I think video bug it's solved and next build (march 6th or 7th) will have Active display enabled.
There's already an official thread, ask there, don't open a new thread.

What video bugs are there? I´ve been using CM12 since January, playing all kinds of videos in different players and haven´t ever noticed there is something wrong... Anyway, tehre´s no point posting it here when we have a thread for CM.

To be honest with the multi variant roms user experiences vary greatly...its even true with device specific builds. Asking the general public isn't always the best idea...based on things like you don't know if they had a clean install, do they have a custom kernel are they using xposed or other root tools/apps etc. Best advice I can give you is read the falcon cmx change logs and keep an eye on commits and merges.

I did a first time install of 7.2.0 yesterday using the supplied kernel (as Doomlord is stil working on an optimal one). I'll report back with findings once an update to that is released.

Its hard to say I don't think it will be long giving how long it took them to code gingerbread to my nexus one
keep folowing the changelog, they're doing a great job!
i saw they've started to merge ICS stuff, by that mean the CM7 will become CM9 if they'll merge the ICS source code?
They may be merging ICS source with CM source, but they won't be releasing it for devices for quite some time. I expect the first nightlies to be around January / February time
I still don't understand the difference between the nightlies and the progress the team free xperia makes here in the boards with their FXP0xx releases :/

The nightlies are compiled everyday and contain any additions to git from that day. The FXP releases are usually around a weekly release cycle.
The nightlies contain more recent code changes so are "more up to date", but you run the risk of using not fully tested code and so may be buggy (I've encountered a boot-loop with CM nightlies before, so fresh backups are needed).
There is no "better" version, just whichever you prefer.

It's been a long time since there was an official build. I think I will share my build for now until the build infra is running again.
Do NOT report any issue in the main CM nightly thread. You have been warned!
You can however report issues here, and pray somebody will listen to them.
http://nethq.org/cmsgs/
Again, you have been warned!
FAQ
Q. What does the test folder mean?
A. It will be unofficial builds with additional commits from developers which are not yet approved to go into CM. There is probably a good reason why it didnt get merged yet, so you are warned!
Q. Is this build faster than latest nightly?
A. This build is fast, but probably not faster than latest nightly
Q. Is battery life better then latest nightly?
A. This build battery life is good, but probably not better than latest nightly
Q. What does updated WIFI driver do?
A. Nothing, I removed it.
Q. What has been added/changed since last build?
A. Check Changelog for latest changes.
Q. Can i flash this over my currently nightly?
A. Yes you can flash this over a nightly just like you do with another nightly
Q. Where did the KANG go?
A. It got replaced by UNOFFICIAL to prevent misunderstanding.
Thanks a lot! I think this should become the place to share our Kang builds with the rest of the world.

Hi, what are the differences between this and a cm7 nightly?
Can I flash this over nightly 181?
Thanks in advance
It is updated until the 8th of December. Safe to flash over 181, just another update plus an addon as stated in the op (updated wifi driver from zach).
Basically it contains almost all changes from the changelog for nightlies..

Ok thanks. I installed it, it works pretty well, but still has got a bug present in nightly 181... The fade effect when you unlock the lockscreen is not present. Could you try to fix it? Thanks!

It uses the same sources as CM7, and it uses the same build process.
The only thing different is the updated WIFI driver which zach and fugumod uses, and of course the recent changes which are not inside the latest nightly's.
So you can assume the following:
* This build is fast, but probably not faster than latest nightly 181
* This build battery life is good, but probably not better than latest nightly 181
* Maybe the WIFI signal could be better, but you will have to find that our yourself.
* Check Changelog for latest changes compared to latest nightly 181
* Yes you can flash this over a nightly just like you do with another nightly
Enjoy
Hi everybody.
There are five main CM11 (CyanogenMod 11) roms for the Samsung Galaxy S2:
Carbon Rom (Myself5)
CyanFox (Christiancs1969)
Wayland_ACE's ROM (Wayland_ACE)
Pound ROM (lion0738)
infected_'s ROM (infected_)
This thread is to talk about own experiences with this roms.
What's OK and/or what's wrong. What recommend you and why.
Regards.
P.S:
The poll is outdated. I considered remove it, but I can't do it. I also considered move the thread to Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
If anyone think this thread causes conflicts, be free to report it to moderators. I apologize.
I tried pound rom it has many features including halo but now im on slimkat due to working art, carbon rom also have a working art and I think it has cm11 as base rom.

You're right. I changed it.
Thanks. :good:
I don't undestand one thing, infected ROM and Wayland_ACE ROM, both are based on Cyanogenmod 11 ( AOSP ) right? So why is Infected' running ART for about 2 weeks and Wayland_Ace not?
And another thing, Infected ROM is based on Cyanogenmod 11, so why Cyanogenmoed did not add CM11 to Nightly downloads (I mean they are still working on 10.2 but no one is interested in 4.3.1 anymore, because there is 4.4.2 out there, In my opinion is a waste of time and energy)
I will kindly thank you for your answer.

I've been using Cyan-Fox for about a week now. Good battery life and features. Really like it so far.
I've been using Pound rom since it was out and updated with every new version, it's really stable and has nice features. I had a battery drain issue at first but then realized mediascannerservice wakelock was the problem... So I just blocked it with the wakelock blocker setting and Voila! I'm also very tempted by Slim kat, the JB slim roms are great and the fastest I tried before going to Pound rom.
Just wondering if anyone here can tell me if any of the above roms support multi-user in the 'settings' screen. I have kids and I'm really looking to pseudo-corner off my phone (I know the limitations). I'm having real trouble with some of the roms.. and wondering if anyone else has tried/successfully got it working?

1. ART is an alternative runtime to Dalvik.. For rest of the info, google.
2. Google
3. CarbonROM and CM11 have it working I think..
This is a unified build for retail (xt1031, xt1032, xt1033, and xt1034) and Google Play Edition (xt1032). Full dual sim support is working.

Its a bug in CM that started around the 20-07 builds, there have been various commits that have supposedly fixed the issue for some moto g's but not others. I'm gonna take a guess and say that slim rom is based (entirely or partly) on CM and because the audio issue still hasn't been fixed for CM it wont be fixed for other roms based of it, your best bet is to flash the AudioFixV3 which changes the audio blobs/files back to the last nightly (20-06 i believe) that didn't have the audio issues. Note that this file was meant for CM so i don't know how it will effect other roms.

I installed Temasek 12.8 and 14.1 and wasn't very pleased with them comparing to cm12.1 nightlies. Yesterday I installed Temasek 14.8 and it has been a very good rom indeed. Long battery life and a stable performance. Only bug found so far is same one I had with cm12.1 nightlies; stock browser crashes occasionally when browsing xda forum. I was a bit sceptical with Temasek rom, but the last rom I tried, has completely changed my opinion. Make a backup of your current rom, and install a Temasek one. If not pleased, you can always change back to what you're using atm.

Sceptical really? Please don't say anything you don't prove.
And who the **** use stock browser.
I've tried the CM version and have always come back to Tema's ROM. I seem to miss many of the issues others have had, maybe because I'm an old bugger and don't use a lot of 'them new-fangled gew-gaws' they get into. The above post is correct that Tema is responsive and fixes things fast.
I haven't tested for a while (I froze Antutu because it kept showing up in BBS) but twice I have posted scroes above 49,000 using Tema's ROM - don't even get close with other ones.
I use CM Browser (stands for Cheetah Mobile) - it's very quick - can't recall ever using the stock except mayberight at the start of owning my Note. By the time I flashed a CM ROM I was off that kind of thing so never tried the CM version.

Both Temasek roms I tried ate my battery pretty fast, so I thought maybe I had a wrong modem or something preventing Temasek working properly on my phone. (Some had outstanding batterylives with those versions and some didn't, modems were suspected for that, read the forum if you need proof)
And I the **** use stock browser, have 7 different browsers I use daily and the stock one is one of them. So if it crashes, being part of the operating system, maybe not so huge a sin to report about it?
Really? A browser discussion??
Guys, please! Don't fight at my threads gahah?
