Hi every1..
After googling i came 2 no that the hardware architecture of lg gt540 optimus and sony Xperia X8 are same..
So I was wondering can we load the Xperia X8's rom in gt540??
I tried everything n downloaded recovery img of x8's rom but there in the package boo.img , recovery.img and android.secure.img is missing..
So can any1 plz help me..

just dont do it you will brick youre phone it maybe the same hw but there also some times a lil diff you wont notice and a second later bye bye phone
In the same way mur4ik is doin cm7 then do x8 just replace bad files with ones from 2.1

hye here i have some problem with my phone , actually the only thing i do wit my phone is rooting only not flash rom or anything , it work just fine for at least 6 month i think , and suddenly last week my phone show no network coverage and i restart my phone (normally do) but this time it keep repeating the ideos sign again and again....i try to change back to stock rom but it still occur same problem ...pls guys wat should i do now,hope u all can help me here...cheers
Reinstall official 2.2. It is the best solution i can think.

but how to do that ? my phone cant even go to menu screen now,it only stuck at ideos sign
Check that link to ultimate guide to huawei x5. There is a guide how to install official update if i remember correctly.

I tried to upgrade my dell xcd35 (ZTE blade, Gen 2, froyo 2.2) to
jj_95nano's custom ROM. Now it does not go beyond the galaxy SII animation which suppose to be the custom ROM's starting animation. Neither i'm able to reset it to its original ROM which i backed up with CWM/ROM manager as no recovery screen appears.
What I did is,
1. Root it with z4root.
2. Took backup of current (original ROM) on SDcard
3. Download the custom ROM from http://db.tt/ZBUxXAmi as suggested by weeo on thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1602335
4. copied it to root of my SDcard
5. using ROM manager flashed it (after reboot).
6. Then original Dell animation followed by repeated Galaxy SII animation is displaying but not proceeding further.
7. Now I Can't even switch it off using power button.
8. I tried power+home, power+menu , power+home+vol+ , then vol- instead. almost all combinations to reboot in recovery mode. but it doesn't.
9. I can put it off by replacing battery only, however, I can put ON using power button.
Can anybody help me? This is my first experience of rooting any android (I'm afraid, at the cost of my new phone? ). plz help me.

Have u tried waiting? First boot can take up to 10 minutes. It could also be because u didn't wipe data and cache partitions
Alternatively u will have to install cwm via adb.
Yeah 2 ways to get out of this if it refuses to boot into the rom or recovery mode. Flash adb via recovery ( I wrote some instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24932544 ) or if adb can't be recognised since you cannot boot, use a tpt.

Did your blade meet the minimum partition specs? It should work anyway though as its GEN2. Use adb.

Thanks matt4321 and karthiknr for your valuable comments which helped me deduce to the exact problem.
The problem was solved after reading 'debricking' in ModaCo forum.
I said i tried all the combination for fastboot, but power + volume down, and that was actually worked for cwm recovery. I've restored the original one.
I request, if possible, plz suggest me a good 2.3.x ROM for my dell xcd35(ZTE blade,Gen2).

If you want customization go for CyanogenMod 7.1 or a KANG of some sort. For pure stability and decent battery life (with some tweaks) go for Swedish Snow RLS7 which is what I'm running, I love it. CM7 is 2.3.7 and Swedish Snow is 2.3.5

The best is definitely cyanogenmod. Lots of customization ,Theme support, inbuilt equalizer etc.
However if u want an ICS look there's an IceCreamBread rom that combines gingerbread stability with ICS framework

I tried to install android 2.3 from developers but i failed to install.
Now the phone is not starting when i press on and just writing ZTE
then it restarts, over and over not until i remove the battery.

Even though there was a porting, I advise you against installing official ICS, because is still not well written and the ram isn't well managed, on my phone the B926 was laggy because there were only 10MB of free memory. Why you would install U8800+ ICS when you have Aurora?

No, as Qqqxxxzzz said it'll brick your phone. Be sure to avoid installing any ROM customized for another phone even for a different model like pro.

Thanks for all the replies guys! I was going to try it but since you guys said no then it's a no.
I have tried installing Aurora and failed multiple times. I need a proper tutorial that has worked for other people. If you guys can lend me a tutorial then I will be more than happy to use it.
The problem I kept encountering, while installing Aurora, is that when I installed Aurora, the phone would boot up and it wouldn't go past the Huawei logo, and then after a while it would restart. It did this in a non-stop loop.
Please lend me a tutorial.

if you have the cwm, install the 3.1 with wipe data/wipe cache/wipe dalvik cache, with this it should be work...

Hey guys. Thanks for the help. I did wipe all that data before but that wasn't the problem.
What I was doing wrong was that I download the Aurora 4.1 update, when I was supposed to get the original Aurora 4.1 first and then install the update on top of that.
If anyone else had this problem then do what I did.

My ZTE Blade smartphone freezes a lot. When it freezes none of the hardware buttons work and the only solution then is to remove the battery. I found few pointers to phone freezing due to gps. Is it true?. Is there anybody who has faced similar issues and what are the possible fixes?

It is not rooted. It runs the stock rom currently. I also tried installing CM7 on it but saw 1-2 freezes again. Could it be something related to gps because I usually see that when i dont get a gps lock, it freezes. But this observation is based on a very small sample set. Any pointers to this?
