Is there a way to disable the persistent "Software Update ready to install" on an unlocked version of Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5?

Unless you are rooted, no!
The update will install itself eventually, you really have no choice in the matter...

First of all, our phone doesn't have this type of notifications to tell user there's an update available. If so, only to 2.2 froyo, via KIES. Are you sure you are the G3 user?
You will probably be one of the Samsung Galaxy S3 owners out there, they post here alot, because they think this forum is for SGS3, which isn't. I repeat - read forum name correctly, S3 users This is the forum for Galaxy 3 GT-I5800. Not the S3.
Hey guys, I have a problem with kingroot I downloaded the latest version of the app and tried to run it on my Samsung Galaxy s5 but it always says that root strategy not found but I did some research and the developers of the app say that it should work for all samsung galaxy s5 variants. Mine is Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900H. I am running on androind 4.4.2 Kitkat. Earlier this year I rooted my phone by going to my carrier but I just recently unrooted using the SuperSu method to update my phone (which did not work either). Please help me try to get kingroot to root my phone. Any help would be awesome thanks!
I just bought a S5 and it came with Lolipop. I've read somewhere that Marshmellow is available for this version, how can I update it ? Also, I'd like to know how to remove the "This sim card is not from Verizon" message that pops up when I turn on the phone. Thanks !

Verizon hasn't released Android 7 to the S7/S7 Edge yet.
There hasn't been any official word from Verizon on when they plan on releasing Android 7, but search for any information about it, a lot of different sites seem to think it's going to be sometime in March.
As for the root / unroot question, if KNOX was tripped during the rooting process, you may not be able to install the OTA update.
You might be able too using different software, which you should be able to find by searching the forum.
A handy tool to check of the CSC and KNOX were tripped or now, install the.

If it comes back saying Warranty Valid, then you should be able to install 7 no problem.
If it comes back saying Warranty Invalid, then you will probably need to wait until it's available for manual download.

That's great. The 935t is T-mobile. We have the 935v, which is Verizon. Which is what he was asking about.
