Hi everyone.
I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 G900V rooted on OA8. I believe my bootloader isn't locked since I was able to do this.
When I try to flash TWRP via Odin it fails. When I try via an app, it crashes and I have to recover by flashing stock partitions.
When using Odin, I get am error on my phone screen similar to secure check fail and magicode fail.
I haven't tried CWM installer because I want TWRP.
The apps I've tried to flash with are Flashify and TWRP Manager. I haven't tried Rashr yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more I go I'll get it and update. Thanks!
You believe wrong, it is locked.

I just followed this thread and successfully rooted my S4

I think i deleted some core apps thru titanium backup and the phone could not display normally (keep Blinking)
then I tried to downloaded Goo Manager and installed TWRP Recovery on my S4. when I restart my phone can only boot to ODIN mode. I fixed this by using

Now the phone can boot up but stuck at ATT logo Screen. Any body can help me?
PS. I try KIES emergency recovery and it keep telling me there is a error of updating.
I bricked my s4 (i337 Canadian, bell) the day I bought it, TWRP 2.6.0.0 was what bricked my phone (I think, or improper use of TWRP) and it wouldn't boot whatsoever (even my recovery was bricked), I managed to fix it by flashing stock firmware from ODIN 1.85 on PC to the phone (couldn't access recovery, so I flashed from PC) , make sure you download a stock firmware that is .tar to use with the PC version of ODIN, the second thing I had to do was flash CF Auto Root again using ODIN 1.85 from PC to phone, since I still couldn't boot my phone or recovery (other root flashing methods wouldn't unbrick my phone, but CF Auto Root did, download the MF3 version of CF auto root).
after all this crap I installed TWRP 2.5.0.0 as my recovery and haven't had any issues since :victory:
this was done on a I337MVLUAMG1 which I believe is the bell equivalent of the MF3 (update that blocked rooting by most methods like motochopper ect)
Thanks

Dont thinknthere is antthing you can do. We have no return to stock method at this point in time. This is why it is important to follow forum rules and read and search before doing something youll regret, im nkt saying this to be mean...but there has been at least 5 people these past few days who have done the exact same thing as you and have gone in here looking for help...
My best advice, throw in some money for the bootloader unlock bounty and hope somethung happens soomer than later

If you read through the threads it specifically stated that the MF3 boot loader is locked and you cannot install twrp or custom ROMS on it. I have seen so many posts regarding this it makes me sick. It's kies seeing the device? But is falling to recover? Or is it not seeing it?

Still looking for some help! anyone know how to?
Flashing recovery from ODIN has failed for me and a few others too, rooting with CF Auto Root and then using TWRP Manager from the Play Store was how I managed to get TWRP recovery installed
it didn't resolve maybe someone that had same issue and successfully resolved could share their thoughts?
cheers
Hello!
I've flashed a stock ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) using ODIN 3.07 and now the phone is bootlooping. I guess It's because I need to wipe data and cache partitions and here's the problem.
My home button is not working, so I can't boot in recovery mode. Adb does NOT recognize my device. I'm only able to access download mode using a JIG.
So, is there any way to wipe those partitions or to be able to access recovery using ODIN?
Thanks in advance for your help!
That is a challenging situation! I'd try flashing the stock ROM once more, just on top of the one you already did using Odin and see if it boots this time.
If it didn't, see if Samsung kies would recognize your phone on download mode and get kies to flash the proper stock rom because I know kies does a full wipe before flashing automatically every time.
Yea, you shouldn't need to wipe anything if you use the correct tar in Odin, it should do it automatically. I would try again as stated above. Are you sure you have the correct tar file?
Thank you so much!!
The problem is that I was trying to flash an older firmware to use Towelroot. I've flashed the same firmware and now it's working again!
Now, I really need to root because I need virtual keys (hardware ones don't work) and i have to edit build.prop file.
What's the easiest way to root on a Lollipop firmware? I don't care about Knox and warranty void.
Also, I already tried CF-Auto Root but when the phone rebooted It gave me this message: "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING" and it didn't start anymore, that's why I needed to flash the stock firmware again.
EDIT: Nevermind. I flashed TWRP using Odin and then I flashed SuperSU in the recovery. I've booted in the recovery using "adb reboot recovery". Thanks again!
Glad you got it working!
EDIT: Sorted it, flashed TWRP in odin and it worked this time.
I have rooted my i9505 (5.0.1 stock Baseband i9505XXUHOD5) using CF-auto and Odin but I cant install a custom recovery. When I try in odin it says pass but then gets stuck in a loop at reboot. When i go to recovery its still stock and the only way out of the loop is to factory reset abd then try again. It looks like a Vodaphone Germany rom thats been unlocked installed. Any ideas please? I want a custom rom to get rid of the Samsung crap in the background.
Thread can be closed
As you have solved it,like this you open this thread for nothing
And also, CWM and Philz are outdated and out of support(only for this device), always use TWRP[emoji6]

Hi,
I have searched these forums and i am surprised to see that i am possibly the only one with this issue. I have previously rooted and flashed custom roms on my note 3 (SM-N9005) without issue.
The last flash was back to stock 5.0. Now when i try to flash recovery with Odin it does pass then i reboot manually into recovery and i either get boot error odin mode or it just reboots. When i flash a stock firmware the phone does not wipe even if wipe partition in odin is ticked.
There are a few roms i'd love to try out but i'm stuck on the current stock as i cannot flash recovery on my device. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
It looks like you flashed something wrong which mada all these problems
Try to use kingroot or any other app for rooting other than the traditional method
Root it and use rashr flash tool from play store to install recovery
