Hello!
I did root my phone yesterday and it had no problems and so, today i was gonna boot into recovery mode but did accidently boot into download mode and as there is no exit there i did just hold the power button until it turned off.
And now when i start my phone it will be a little while on the samsung logo after that its just black and i will get like play store has stoped working contacts has stopped working wtc, everything does just stops to work so what do i need to do, can i just use odin and root it again to get default settings? or can i just connect it to kies and it will give me all i need?
wipe dalvik, cache. if that doesn't work try flashing new firmware via odin or flash a custom rom from recovery

I had Cyanogenmod 6.1.1alpha8.1 on my spica. Recently it got a little bit laggy so i decided to flash it with odin to restore the original firmware and install everything else from the beginning. I tried to flash it with I5700XXJH6. The flashing went fine, but when spica started booting, only the first, static bootlogo showed up and there was even no progress bar. After 20 minutes nothing had happened so i tried to flash it with 1.5, then install Lk10 to get into recovery mode, so i could get access to the phone's shell. Unfortunately, after flashing everything was the same - static bootlogo and no progress bar. Installing LK10 went fine, but the phone still wouldn't boot into recovery mode. I tried many different ROMs and one of them worked - the system booted properly, everything seemed to work at first glance, but when i inserted the SIM card and input the PIN code, the phone got stuck on "Unlocking SIM card". I tried rebooting many times but it didn't work.
Once again i tried to flash it with odin and everything was the same as before. I tried a few times, but now there's no download mode and when i connect the phone to the charger, nothing shows up on the screen.
Is there anything else i can try to do?
i had and solved the same issue yesterday.
I think part of the issue is maybe with a previous FileSystem conversion and another part with data/cache from previous Roms.
Try to make an install as clean as possible.
- I5700XXJH6 with Odin
- LK2.08 with odin
now you have an acessable recovery.
- boot the phone and put the CyanogenMod 6.1.1 alpha8.1 (found on 'forum dot samdroid dot net') on the root of the sdcard.
- shutdown the phone.
Important: disconnect the phone before booting in recovery, else it will boot normaly.
- boot in recovery (Volume down, accept call, on/off button)
- apply the downloaded zip.
reboot normaly, if it loads normaly, yay!
If it doesnt load (wait 5 mins to be sure) pull out battery.
reboot in recovery, and wipe data/cache (factory reset)
reboot normaly, if it loads normaly, yay!
If it doesnt load (wait 5 mins to be sure) pull out battery.
reboot in recovery, and make sure data, cache and system are rfs.
to change it to rfs 'advanced>filesystem conversion'
reboot normaly, if it loads normaly, yay!
if not send me a PM.
I already tried installing I5700XXJH6 and LK2.08 but neither the system nor the recovery mode would load - only the first, static bootlogo showed up. I can't try again because the download mode doesn't work any more and when i connect the charger, the screen remains black.
As I wrote in the first post, i managed to get it working once, but it had problems with the SIM card, so i tried different ROMs, which seems to have broken my spica entirely.
Is there anything i can do to restore the download mode?
im assuming you tried starting downloadmode without it being connected to a pc.
I dont know how to restore downloadmode, perhaps the guys at the samdroid forum can help you out.
Model is SM-AG500
-> On 5.0.2 i rooted it and and used it for couple of weeks and unrooted it successfully. Got 5.1.1 update via OTA and everything was working well.
-> When marshmallow OTA update was done, play store didn't work and i tried every solution for it. Fed up in a hurry i went back to 5.0.2 with latest Odin and flash gave no errors.
-> Now m stuck at Samsung logo and can't go to recovery mode. I let the battery drain and went to recovery mode to wipe data and cache but it was no help.
-> I waited for few days and flashed successfully the marshmallow firmware but it still gets stuck at logo. After the battery drain i did a wipe of data and cache in recovery mode. Nothing helped.
All drivers were perfectly installed and i double checked the firmware's. The latest odin software gave a pass with no error. I am stuck a boot logo. I can't go into recovery mode unless the battery drains out and neither wipe data and cache is helping. Now my Sister's gonna be back for weekend and i have to fix this by 6 days please help !!

Same issue happen with me after flashing stock 6.0.1, but the below method saved my phone.
if its stuck on Samsung logo don't wait for battery drain try this.
reboot to recovery by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN.
As soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons.
in the stock recovery wipe the cache then power off the device for 30 seconds. (this will completely clear all the cache).
Now you can turn on the device.

Play store did't work, cleared cache and data still nothing. If i hard reset it gets stuck at logo, any other option ?
so 2 days ago i tried installing xposed via app without doing the twrp thing. the installation succeeded but i ran into some problems after booting, i kept getting "lg swithch stopped working" and i needed to unistall the app through kingroot to make the error go away.
the phone ran normally till i rebooted, after rebooting it got stuck on the play boot animation (because i have it in play) and to launch it i needed to turn it via factory reset.
the phone ran slow.
i tried going back to stock firmware through lg flash tool 2014 and using the D72220e_00.kdz and D72210e_00.kdz but it would fail.
also, when i went into download mode it wouldnt show normal download mode like in all those videos, it showed that:
------------------------------
DOWNLOAD MODE
------------------------------
Loading........
Press the volume up key until you see the download screen...
pls help me..
So, I rooted and tried flashing the stock ROM (from Sammobile, same country, same exact model [SM-G950F], I already had the stock ROM and had never flashed anything else to the phone other than root, June security update, my phone had July's) to see if I could fix a problem that couldn't be fixed with any other method I had tried.
Everything in Odin seemed to go well, I got the PASS green box at the end. But then the phone couldn't go pass the Samsung logo when booting up. I left it quite a few minutes, before trying to boot into recovery mode and wiping data. Only to realize that I couldn't boot into recovery mode. In fact, I can't even turn the phone off. No combination of hardware keys works other than power button + bixby + vol down, to get into download mode. But that's of no use, because when I plug my phone into my PC (with the same cable and port I used before to root and flash the firmware into it) it is not recognized by Odin or the PC.
It just has the Samsung logo flashing slowly over and over because I can't turn the device off. By the time the battery dies out I'll most likely have the logo burnt into the display.
I also haven't been able to find any help online. Everyone's suggestion is “boot into recovery and wipe data”, but I can't do that.
Is my phone gone for good?
I installed a theme using substratum and synergy and when I went to apply the theme on galaxy themes my phone suddenly showed the Samsung logo and turned off. Now it's not booting. When I press the power button the galaxy s8 logo comes up and next is the installing system updates then Android recovery comes up. I've also tried flashing the stock firmware using the home csc but it didn't solve the issue. Please help me to fix this issue and I don't want to erase the data inside.
I have the same issue. Phone start with installing update and boots to recovery. After a minute or two it hangs up their. I was able to factory reset but still it boots into recovery. Also flash firmware successfully via Odin, it does the normal boot but then hangs on erasing blue screen for the 1st time after Odin flash and upon force restart boots back to recovery. Mine is bootloader locked and full stock rom no modification. Looks me the motherboard issue.i may be wrong.
Hope anyone has work around to this problem.
Thanks

Try flashing substratum uninstaller through twrp recovery, if the above method didn't work try flashing with normal CSC not home CSC your data will wipe
