Actually I'm on taiwan rom and have downloaded the 882mb kitkat update and want to update my mob..... but unfortunately i don't hav stock Indian rom and hav to download extra 2.1gb which is really time taking........ so my point is how can i directly upgrade t0 4.4 from taiwan rom........ not stock indian.... plz help..

Hi. this rom , can install whit TWRP or CWM or recovery mode ??
I have successfully installed this rom on my 32GB E7. Working fine, no issues. Just transfer this file to your phone at any location, then go to System Updates and chose to install update by file, then select this file from the menu.
Once installed do a factory reset so that KitKat works optimally.
Someone could clearly explain how it is installed? Can be rooted at the time of installation? Since recovery? I think it costs nothing to lend a hand to which we are not able to do it properly!

u should be on Indian stock rom with stock recovery and unrooted device.

One more thing when i decided to download OTA it shows me a message "Network anomaly, Please check your network and try again" mostly but sometime it starts downloading and again get paused. So, i am downloading it slowly in breaks.

and yes i got that error a lot of times while i was downloading the OTA, just keep taping continue button until it starts to download again.
after downloading the OTA file(.zip file) u can find it in the SD card itself.
it wont be inside any folder.

try this,
goto settings>All settings>apps>(swipe to the right) All> there search for system update and then open it, there press clear cache, clear data and then try to open system updates again, if its still there then press force stop and then again try opening system updates
if this doesn't fix it then theres another way to flash the OTA via recovery (volume up + power button)

But the problem is I am not able to root my phone on this version the way I did on 4.2.2
Somebody please tell me how to root this phone on 4.4.2
I cannot live without root and Xposed.

its for Indian version
If you delete some apps from the package, will this affect the installation.

The system update is going too slow for me. Every MB downloaded it shows some network error.

I've unlocked the bootloader, instaled TWRP as recovery and rooted it, now, when the OTA message appears and I click on it, it reboot into recovery, but the updated is not performed... any idea how should I apply the update with the custom recovery?

Hi,
I've red in the Opo Forum that OTA currently only works with Stock Recovery or Clockworkmod Recovery, but not TWRP.

1) do a full-wipe and try again..
2) do a full-wipe and install CM11S -- 22R freshly from fastboot and try... (install TWRP & root )
3) Try ota zip and flash... from

Not really , my opo is rooted and has TWRP , OTA was successfully installed through TWRP and the phone is still rooted
Make sure that "Update CM recovery" in developer options is unchecked and try again

I didn't even received my Opo, will hopefully arrive today :laugh:fingers-crossed: I just wanted to tell what I heard.
Updated it using TWRP but once booted it tells me there's an udpate, over and over... update in TWRP seems to work (no fails, only message is "radio image updated")
I'm rooted unlocked and using TWRP and it worked fine for me...

Seems to TWRP has been removed after OTA update. First time it run update with TWRP but update notification still stay in tray. And after second try it disappear but together with TWRP
Works for me too. Using TWRP as Recovery. Press the OTA update then reboot into Recovery Mode automatically and process the rest upgrade command
hi guys, i have a problem istalling this ota update... in the previous version i cancelled cclock app and now when i try to update it fails do to system cant find the app. i tried also to manually istall the app without result... so i cant update!!! anyone know hot to solve without flash the firmware?

I haven't received the update yet
Wish I hadn't taken the "update". My phone came rooted so I thought that was the default setting. This update killed root so I had the hassle of re-rooting my new phone. Also missing a few features now.

Can't get this to work, i'm trying to install over stock 4.4 KitKat but it's not being very cooperative. When i attempt flashing in TWRP it says 'Error updating execute binary in script' and in stock recovery it just comes up with 'Installation aborted'. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

I have open bootloader, CWM, and freshly installed untouched 4.4.4.
When installing this zip from CWM i get:
Verifying current system...
"/system/app/3c_main.apk" has unexpected contents.
E: Error in /data/media/0/Blur_version.210.12.40.falcon_umts.Retail.en.GB.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Any tips?

have you rooted the device? if the device was rooted, the update will fill, simply unrooting in supersu will not work because supersu adds files to the system folder. the update will only install successfully on a untouched system.

I managed to do the OTA update on my HTC Desire 820. The trick is that it replaces the original recovery.
By this method you can also restore the original recovery.
1. Download the OTA Update but do not install.
Go to Options -> About phone -> Software updates

2. Open file explorer and go to Download folder (/storage/emulated/0/Download) and find zip file with update and open it.
3. Open firmware.zip
4. Copy "recovery.img" to sdcard for example.
5. Replace recovery.img
To this step I use "Flashify" app from Google Play.
Run Flashify and select "Recovery image".
Select "Choose a file" and select recovery.img
Select "YUP!" and wait.
Don't restart your device.
6. Install update
Go to Options -> About phone -> Software updates and select "Install now".
Click OK. Now your device install update.
This operation takes a few minutes.
7. Final
Managed to do the OTA update.
If you want you can install other back recovery.
In the event of the emergence of a new update you can do the same.

I once had such a situation as you. Helped off the phone (VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER) and enable it again.
i cant extract the firmware.zip from the dual sim ota, tried it multiple times but always get the message that its corrupt
it worked
Download winrar to help you extract the firmware. I just followed the procedures yesterdat to install my own update that has been pending for few days. It worked so well, just as it was explained here. I use single sim 820 though.

After this (with stock recovery ) going to download lolipop and tried to install. It start and going good but after few second crashed. I think it schould be bootloader.

I tried that .I locked bootloader and installed the update but it crashed with red exclamation mark.
Actually that's because you might have "tamper " flag on.

Boot into bootloader and choose recovery option wait for 30sec or 1 minute for recovery menu to show.
There you can see "<Tamper>" flag.
If not then your system files are unchanged.

Didn't work for me. Guess it is because I am on 22.21.28 I downloaded, placed it in Internal Storage, checked for updates, didn't get it. Rebooted, still didn't.
I tried it also via recovery, it says It's for an other build (99.16)
Yep, so won't work for 22.21.28, as it is mentioned in the zip file "22.41.16". (The Zip files are named after the version that they are for, NOT the version the update contains).

Well, it won't work for 22.21.28 users regardless.
Manual INSTALLATION of STAGE FRIGHT patch
Right this is how to install for ANY GLOBAL XT1068 running LXB22.99-16 Retail / Now working with Brazil LXB22.99-16
LXB22.99-16 is build number for the rom with system version 22.41.16 - THEY ARE ONE AND THE SAME.
You need to update to 5.0.2 LXB22.99-16 STOCK ROM to have the correct RECOVERY or this patch will NOT even start to install - it will also check system version when installing
I have been told you must be UNROOTED or phone hangs on boot logo once patch applied.
These 2 things are therefore are a must, STOCK OEM motorola Recovery (LXB22.99-16) and UNROOTED phone.
1) you must be on LXB22.99-16 this was the latest FULL version of 5.0.2 feb 25th - ALL xt1068's can run this - as it has drivers for BOTH types of front cams. ( Brazil has it own version of LXB22.99-16 )
2) copy the blur_version.zip to internal storage on XT1068 - pick correct one from attached files below
3) forget going to settings and checking for software - it wont show
4) reboot into AP fastboot mode then use vol down to select recovery and volume up to select you should see after a small wait with black screen a fallen android with red triangle - then hold power and quickly tap vol up - you should now be in recovery
5) choose apply update from sd card then choose blur_version xxx.zip
6) it will install if you are on correct lXB22.99-16
the new version is LXB22.99-16.3 system version 22.56.3.titan_xxxx released wed august 26th and yes still 5.0.2

no idea not sent a MMS message for years - outdated - I use whats app / snap chat etc
what about rooted device? 1068 (bootloader unlocked)
is there any manual way to install?
as you said "I have been told you must be UNROOTED or phone hangs on boot logo once patch applied." (BOOTLOOP?)

yes flash LXB22.99-16 to restore to stock OR unroot your phone manually and then apply patch - you can root again after

This is a COMPLETE TUTORIAL How to Root and Flash Gapps on Lenovo K3 Note Official Stock Vibeui 3.1 1614 St Android 6.0
First of all Download all necessary Files :: Mirror 1# Google Drive
Alternative gapps package
Nano gapps package
Once you downloaded the files put them on your External SD card
Now Reboot to Your Custom Recovery(In This guide i use TWRP 3.0.0.3 recovery with Material theme for Example but the same steps are for all others)

Once you are there Simply flash the Three Files in This Order: 1. Flash The K3_NOTE_PATCHED_BOOT_1614 -Dont reboot 2.Go back to the Folder and flash SuperSU-v2.71-Again Dont reboot 3.Again return to the Folder and Flash Gapps Setupwizard fix for vibe 3.1 3.5 and than Reboot
Once you Boot Up Next thing You need to do is to Allow all Permissions Google related:Google playstore,Google play services and Google services framework.

Of course you can mate Just flash TWRP recovery Follow this Tutorial
After u successfully Install the TWRP go to Recovery Backup/Whatever you want to backup and thats pretty much it

Well that's weird...Try to Allow All Google Related permissions if that dont work just try this ALternative Gapps fix package and report your Progress

Upon boot, clicking "Try To Solve' and then enabling permissions allowed the Setup Wizard to proceed to launcher screen.
Next, going to Play Store and updating "Google Play Services" sorted the rest out.

why i cant see , google play service ? its always says stoped , and i cant clear catche since i dont see it in app list

Try this way: Backup your personal Data first with Titanium or whatever.than after you flash the gapps(btw ou can try the latest Pico package from http://opengapps.org/) and than after he phone boot than reboot to recovery and make a FACTORY RESET only and the next boot all FC will be fixed.

My device model is LENOVO K50-T5 Build number is VIBEUI_V3.1_1622_5.440.1_ST_K50-T5 . sir I don't have a PC and I can't even root this with king root or any other tools. And Im badly in need of a custom recovery. I don't have a PC so can't install a custom recovery. I don't have root access too. Now what I'm planning is to downgrade my device to lollipop and root it and flash a recovery. To do this please help me. Or please help me with rooting my phone without PC. Or installing a custom Rom. Or a custom recovery.... Please help me... Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
