[Q] Will an i9500 LCD screen work on an I9502 duos? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I realise this is a hardware question, but someone here might be able to answer or perhaps has the ability to check the Samsung part numbers.
I have an I9502 Duos which was sourced from HK.
The LCD has cracked and getting one from HK is a long and laborious process.
The i9500 shares the Exynos chipset with the i9502 and it occurred to me that it's possible if I hunt down an I9500 the screen from that may work.
I've got data on my I9502 and currently no way to get at it unless I can get the screen working again.
Ideas?

Anyone?

In general, the actual display of the various S4 models is identical. The sticking point is that the midframes on all of them are different. So you should be able to buy a I9505 screen and replace your I9502 screen with it. The I9505 screen however must NOT be bonded to a midframe, and you'll need to peel the broken screen off the I9502 midframe to do the switch. When you remove the broken screen, you need to keep as much of the old adhesive you can, as the replacement screens don't include replacement adhesive to bond the new screen to the midframe. To be on the safe side, you might want to purchase some of that adhesive off Amazon or a similar site.

I dropped my Galaxy S4 (i9505) and the screen was broken, also touch is not working.
My question: is the replacement screens for i9500 compatible with i9505?
I see Amazon selling replacement screens that says they are compatible for both models, but the local dealer says that they are not compatible, and I'm waiting for the display part to arrive since 15 days now (I'm not in the US)
Any help is appreciated.

[Q] Need a serious help, SPH-l720

Hello XDA developers
For all who got experience and information about digitizera and screen especially for Galaxy S4
I got a SPRINT Galaxy S4 which unfortunately i cracked its screen and got confused about what is compatible and what is not in terms of cable length or any other compatible parts , fitting correctly etc..
So my question is
Does this phone requires only Sprint Galaxy s4 screen and digitizer or any common galaxy s4 screen can be replaced ?
Any further information can really help.
Please help, googled it but have not got a crystal clear answer, so i refered to XDA forums
( what i mean by screen is: digitizer + outer screen)
Special thanks for all repliers

For me, it would work if you got any US variant version of the part, I have replaced my tmobile variant screen with a at&t part, but if you cant find the US version of the part, try finding the i9505 parts, that model mirrors the US variant of the phone

[Q] N9005 LCD Replacement

Hi guys,
What i wanna ask you is a bit technical.
I got a screen burn-in on my N9005.
I am about to replace the LCD, but the problem is to find the LCD replacement in my country. Samsung only sells N900 here. And they couldn't help me to replace my screen. I found that N900's LCD are available here. Can I use the N900 LCD to replace mine?
Yes I know that I could order the N9005 LCD from ebay or alibaba. But it will take a time.
Please help. Thank you.
Hi, so did you fixed yours ? I am wondering the same thing.
Can I use lcd from the n9000 model for my n9005 version ??
I can't be fully sure, but I see no reason why the LCDs should be different. Ask the Samsung guys, how it is different from Exynos to Snapdragon.

Samsung Galaxy S4 - Screen looks burned, but still functional [Image Attached]

Hi there, a friend gave me this phone whose screen appears to be burnt, but still functional. I just wanted to verify if the proper fix for this is to buy an LCD replacement.
Also, I noticed that online websites that sell LCD replacements mention the carrier of the phone. That brings me to the question, do I need to purchase a replacement with the same carrier or just the same model (SGH-I337M in this case)?
Thank you.

The att version of the s4 is compatible with the i337m.
You may be better off finding a used screen because a real Samsung replacement screen is not cheap.

Broken Screen T587P

I searched around but couldn't find any discussion about the hardware differences between the models. I recently broke the screen on my tablet and don't really want to send it in to Samsung for a repair.
Does anyone know if the screen dimensions are the same between the T587P and the more widely used T580P, I get that the firmware is not the same, but how about some of the hardware?
Thanks in advance to whomever can shed some light.

All the LTE versions have the same hardware, the difference is only firmware customized for a particular provider and logo on the back cover.
You can even install a Wifi mainboard to a LTE tablet because the extra parts on LTE are only SIM slot and antenna for cellular signal.
So basically you can downgrade any Samsung LTE tablet to a Wifi version just by swapping mainboard, the other parts almost identical.
Don't ever send a tablet to Samsung for screen replacement because the cost is more than buying another tablet: around $220.
