I use CM12 Nightlies and Ktoonez Kernel. I'm having an issue with some of my Canadian Specific Apps not starting / working. I suspect that it's because certain things are missing in the build-prop that they check for but I don't have a clue what those things might be. Anyone able to help me out here?

Hi all. Hoping for some help with the few problems im having on CM 10.1. Cannot yet post in the Dev section.
Im running a p3113, however it's listed as a p3110 because of the lack of a p3113 (IR) ROM. I'm wondering if maybe this is what is causing one of my problems.
One of the banking apps (Simple Bank) that I had installed before installing CM 10.1 (while on stock JB) I cannot install via market on CM 10.1. It comes up as device incompatible. Would changing my build.prop to show the device as a p3113 work to fix this? Would i still be able to update the nightlys if i changed the build.prop, and would it cause any trouble with CM 10.1? Can someone possibly post their stock P3113 build.prop for me to take a look at?
The second problem I have is with Hulu Plus. Occasionally, the app decides to glitch out the video and the video becomes a squashed little line on the screen until i exit out and go back in. The video also appears to not be as high quality as it was on stock JB. I'm thinking this is possibly because of a DPI setting, but im really not sure.
any help to either problem would be appreciated. Thanks.
I've been looking for custom roms with android 5.0 (lollipop) to flash on my Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-i337m (jfltecan), however I can't find any. I know Cyanogen mod has cm12 for the jflte but not for jfltecan, can I still flash cm12 for jflte on my device or will it brick it? I used to have an s3 and I flashed carbon rom for d2att, edited some lines as to bypass status 7 and it worked fine. I was just wondering if I could do the same for my s4. Thanks!

I'm on sgh-i337m with cm12 for the jflte and it's working great you need to change the name of device in updater script and all is working

So you are not having any issues at all? I am considering doing this. Do you have a link to a guide you used?
I use the AntaresOne Rom from this Link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557353 with my sgs4 (sgh-1337m) from Fido and the only issues are wifi is kinda wonky(doesn't always save network info, doesn't always connect, sometimes drops connexion, but it DOES work fine when connected) and battery sometimes drains really fast. NB that this last issue has been labelled "cosmetic" by someone who knows a great deal more than me about Android. I have NEVER had my phone run out of battery and shutdown., just some days at 6pm it says 25%, other days it reads 76%. Kinda random. About to test the "Danvdh's GPE Edition ROM" 5.0.1 Lollipop, will post when I can confirm working or not.

No service after flashing...
I was on SlimKat 4.4.4 which was good, but wanted to upgrade to Lollipop after seeing it on my Nexus 5 (which is now broken). I have a Bell SGH-I337M
I first tried the CM12 Optimized build, wouldn't ever get past the boot screen...
Tried GPE, and it installed and ran fine, but my service was cutting in and out (so basically useless)
Tried SlimLP, it also installed fine but I was having the same service problem as with GPE.
How are you guys installing these ROMS? The only info I could find to fix the problem involved modem/radio.. I tried flashing a LP modem with the ROM but it didn't work. And all the radio-related information was from 2011 so I didn't bother with it. Any help would be much appreciated, I've been messing with this for 2 days now and get seem to fix it

I've tested multiple ROM since I've got my S5, but actually my favorite is XtreStoLite INTL v.2.2. I've only a problem with it.... On all ROM I've tested the app "Ingress" work fine, but not on this one...
I think this ROM is perhaps too slim... perhaps the good Aroma Add-on can fix the issue, but I don't know if it's that or other thing...
Has somebody tested this ROM and can play Ingress? or has somebody an idea to solve this issue?
(for info: model SM-G900F, BB: G900FXXU1BOD3, stock kernel, Ingress: 1.81.0)

During the installation, I am very careful to select the G900I kernel and any other similar options; however my phone always ends up labelled as G900F. This also seems to be affecting my mobile/cell reception (the G900I has a number of specific 3G and 4G bands that are used in Australia).
Anyone have any clues as to how I might resolve this? Thanks!

Download mode says G900I. So that should mean that the phone's mobile/cell reception will be that of G900I?

Then it is G900I. Independent of other things say. you have to trust the Download mode, no other things than that.
from what i see - XtreStoLite - Only can work on G900H
But the alliance Rom works on both G900F and G900I.
Have you tried installing AOSP roms? to see if they have the same problem?

THe version of XtreStoLite I have is definitely compatible with G900I. It let me select a G900I kernel during setup.
I've just come off using CM12.1, which correctly listed the phone as G900I in the "About Phone" menu. So it only seems to be an issue with the two TW ROMs I've used.
Incidentally, do you know of any TW-based ROMs that have the same/similar UI to CM / AOSP / Nexus devices? I've swapped to a TW ROM as the buggy Bluetooth audio on the AOSP ROMs was driving me crazy. But I would like to keep the AOSP look and feel, if possible.

What i am using is -Galaxy Project Touch Wiz 5.0 - You can try it.
And change the theme to look like AOSP.
Thanks, I'll give that ROM a try. What is the best way to get the ROM to look like AOSP? I'd like to get it as close as possible (menu UI, lockscreen, dialer etc).

I have a fair bit of experience with OOP programming and I believe Java is used to program roms as well.
There are many AOSP roms for the other Note 4 variants. I've heard people say that when they've flashed other non compatible rom (I.e. RR) their RIL stops working.. So my question is how do i attempt to fix such an issue? I know that preparing a rom is quite the task but where would someone start at fixing such a problem?
