Kitkatify your PA ROM (Holo Blue Genocide) {Updated 16th April}

Holo Blue Genocide Mod is already popular and doesn't need much introduction. In brief, it makes your Kitkat based ROM more like Kitkat and less like ICS and Jellybean. It replaces all Blue (#33b5e5) colors with White (#ffffff).
This completes the Kitkat look and make your ROM look more aesthetic and unified in terms of colors.
Most of the devs don't really mod for PA based ROMs because Official PA team makes it a bit hard with heavy modification and follow different guidelines unlike CM or AOKP. Thus, we haven't seen any such mods so far.
@Gingerbread1611 has done it for PA 4.1beta2 but haven't really updated after that; I am taking this forward from now on and will try my best to keep it aligned with latest PA builds.

If you want to go back to original, just dirty flash your ROM+GApps like you flash nightly.
In case your recovery gets corrupted due to some systemui crash, follow these steps>
-- Connect your phone in fastboot mode
-- Push TWRP recovery via command: adb fastboot flash openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-hammerhead.img
-- Dirty flash the ROM+GApps again!

Yes but there is too much of task to keep it aligned with latest builds for all custom roms. That's why I am keeping myself restricted to Paranoid Android only.

There somehow is a holo icon in the quick settings area. When you click it the system completely crashes. Reboot won't fix that and the ROM gets unusable. Somehow my recovery also got corrupted by that and I wasn't able to reflash the ROM. I had to sideload it to get things going again.
So my advice is to not flash that mod while that error is not fixed...!

Just flashed and got the same system crash, but without clicking anything, just booted and the repeated crash started, i did flash the first link for official PA, however the zips name is Holo_Genocide_for_PA4.2b4_by_Aniket-XPJParadroid or something like that, maybe you uploaded the wrong zip there because it shouldnt say paradroid

Worked great until I noticed the halo button and clicked it out of excitement.
Rom because unusable and my recovery is corrupted so I can't flash pa and gapps again.
How do I fix this ?

Now I flashed the Official version (which is in the link for Paradroid, and it booted fine, but google search started to crash over and over, the dark grey background was now a light grey background, very ugly and whe i opened the dialer it crashed and the phone screen went black, Im running PA 4.2 beta 4 with no custom kernels or modifications, i do not recommend to flash this zip, its very messed up :S

I'm sorry but there is no chance that recovery gets corrupted because of this!
In any worst case.. you can flash official PA and Gapps again and you will not lose anything!
Anyways bugs are fixed. Please try again.

Which recovery are you using?
Follow these steps:

Links are updated. It was Diaz1999's mod which was creating a mess! Now removed!

- XjParadroid version in about phone settings.
- When selecting an conversation in hangouts the background will still turn blue.
Not trying to be a whiner or anything just hoping to help out with overlooked things.

Everything's fixed except Hangouts thing! For that Hangouts.apk has to be modified which I haven't done yet!

I add that foldermount program fix all of issues with storage problems without it i can't download any files or copy files... Titanium backup too didn't work without it ;d THAT'S IMPORTANT APP FOR THAT ROM ! DON'T FORGET

I want to flash this rom but in CMW there is "Installation Aborted". I have wiped data, cache and dalvik before installation. I really want this rom. I don't know how to wipe /system. Can someone help me please ?

i turned back into stock rom and this problem still going on!

Recently, when looking for a ROM for my Nexus 7 (2013) I found, that those guys actually also build ROMs for our Z3C. Been using them for several months now and I am very satisfied - very stable ROM.
So here you go:

Xposed users:
Wipe Cache + Dalvik after flashing Xposed. Wipe also after recovering apps with Titanium Backup with already installed Xposed.
Exodus Updater - like in CyanDelta you can add additional zips to be flashed with ROM updates (find it in settings), like custom kernel / Xposed /... (M5 kernel is awesome and works great with Exodus)

Sadly, yes. Didn't find a custom ROM without it yet. Also got it in stock, but the effect is not as strong there. Still no clean pic with Z3C, neither in stock nor in any custom ROM. Anyway a very good ROM.

Well, there is no ROM-thread for Z3C Exodus build... I'm not the creator nor the maintainer of the build, just found it and wanted to share the link, so it's hard for me to say how good the support is, didn't need it yet - everything works fine on my device. Not one single random reboot with Xposed since I use this ROM.

I'm using it with M5 permissive kernel and Slim Zero Gapps. Try this config, works great for me, no bootloops. You should wipe cache and dalvik directly after flashing Xposed, without doing this you will probably run into a bootloop or get a system starting and constantly rebooting after system is up. Use latest version (v75 arm) of Xposed.

You could easily give it a shot with MultiROM. I'm too lazy to list everything here... ;-P
There are quite a few things. Most important ones for me personally are the customizable clear all button in recents, customizable navigation bar height, double tap to sleep on lockscreen (double tap anywhere) and four tiles per row in quick settings. I also like it to be able to deactivate navigation ring as I never use it and it only gets on my nerves when accidentally swiping over the navigation bar.

It is not this rom version but you can say build after 5th October causing this kind of problem. May be some minor bug with latest builds

1) Factory Reset
2) Flash ROM
3) Flash M5 (permissive) kernel (for V4A)
4) Flash Xposed v75 arm
5) Wipe cache & dalvik
6) Boot up system
7) Restore many (300+) apps with Titanium Backup
In this case ROM will reboot shortly after TB is closed and a few seconds after system is running and up it will reboot and do this again and again until the battery is empty.
Solution: Boot to recovery, wipe cache & dalvik again. Everything should be fine now, no more bootloops.
This behavior also occurs on CM12.1 nightlies for me so seems to have nothing to do with the ROM itself but rather CM base.

Same here, without Xposed no bootloop at all. With Xposed: constantly rebooting after recovering apps (Xposed already installed) but gone after wiping cache & dalvik again.

Need expert advice to root zuk z1

Hi guys, there is many thread regarding how to root zuk z1. i have readed all and tried all. but i m facing big problem in rooting.
i have unlocked the bootloader properly AND Installed custom twrp recovery all done.. the problem comes when i tired to flash the zip file to root the phone some supersu zip file.. when i tried to flash with stock recovery it shows me signature verfication error and when i tired custom recovery it this error :
DEV: internal sdcard
Error : NO sdfuse dir!
so tell me how to solve this issue i want to root my phone

I don't think you can install supersu with default/stock recovery of cyanogen. Which version of supersu did you try and which version of twrp did you flash it with? I personally flashed supersu with the official recovery from zuk and it worked fine.

supersu which i used is : BETA-SuperSU-v2.67-20160121175247 and twrp i m using is the latest 3.0 something from the site itself and my cyanogen os version is 12 .1 yog4pas7df

Guys more helpful comments i want to solve my problem... it looks like this forums users are so much inactive :/ when i using miui their forums support was so fast and here no replies :/

Flash supersu-2.46 with the same recovery. I had no problem with this stable build of supersu when I was using the stock rom on 12.1.

You can follow this thread for quicker assessment. Chances are, someone else has faced the problem you are facing and that it has already been solved. As that is the official thread for supersu, you'll get your answers there. You can try the latest stable build from there, but the one I suggested earlier worked fine for me.

What else did you try? Do other fastboot commands work? What steps did you follow? Are proper drivers installed?

thanks for reply ..but now i rooted my phone ..it is working fine ..using nuclear rom ..it is gr8 .i just want to ask is there any way to improve camera quality ??
and how can i use xposed frame work do i have to flash zip or install apk
and pls give link also

I don't know what camera is integrated with nuclearom, but generally speaking, you can improve your camera photos by flashing/installing camera mods or other camera apps. Snapdragon camera is one (which comes pre-installed in DU-rom) I'm using currently. There's a color-camera from oppo ported to oneplus one, you can try that as well. I don't click a lot of photos, so I'm unaware as to what camera is better than others, so other people might be of more help.
As for xposed, you can find the forum disscussions from this link.. Flash the xposed...*.zip from here and install the Ui apk at the bottom of that forum to manage the modules.
For Zuk Z1, download the latest zip from the 'arm' folder and flash using the latest TWRP.

You'll have to flash the *.zip file. *.asc may be to validate the downloaded zip. Don't worry about it if you have downloaded the *.zip file correctly.

Now i m using nuclear rom on zuk z1 ... using jio sim ..wanna share net through hot spot to my frds but wanna limit users like in samsung devices (like 1 ..2 ..5 )..or there is an option for allowed users in samsung devices .. wanna use this features ..tried every where ..already took google help ..asked in other threads also .but no one replied ..if u know anything pls reply

Bro, after unlocking the bootloader,next is to flash super su with twrp right,so to install super su for the first time should I have to wipe cache,dalvik ,data?
2)is it possible to flash nuclear ROM 7.1.2 with my Zuk z1 5.1?some people say yes,but I saw a note while downloading nuclear ROM 7.1.2 "to install this you have to come from another rom like linage O's or cm 13 nightly ,,is it right?

Not sure if this is too much to ask, but can someone guide me in the direction or send a post with all links from scratch to boot android 9 with Treble support on my oneplus 5 not the 5T.

I am on OB14 (Treble Enabled ROM). Is it still required to flash Mokee rom?

Hey guys I'm looking into flashing all this, but can you guys tell me what doesn't work? What are the differences with custom roms?
From what I understand, it's similar to a custom ROM in terms of camera (not fully working), in terms of volte (doesn't work).
I'm willing to test but since it takes a lot of time on my side (need to fully backup etc...), I hope it works fine
Also, the gsi is the lastest version now that official P is out?

I am on open beta 15. I saw this video of formatting data, then installing mokee rom, mounting vendor and installing gsi image of dp5 of android p.
Things seemed pretty easy.
I did the exact steps. I am stuck at a point where i can't find vendor option in mount of twrp.
Could someone guide me on what can de done?

Change twrp. I use blu spark twrp and if i remember right it's name had treble

Thanks bro. Lets see if that helps. I saw two videos and both used different twrps.
Today i ll try with blu spark treble twrp.

is volte working ?

On PR1 i have one bug. When send screen to my Anycast , find it and when i select it show "connecting" but never connect. When try connect i see bright up and go to lock screen but don´t send image. Anymore have this problem ?. Any idea to solved it ?. I tried diferent kenels, update mokee vendor base , add entries to build.prop refer to this problem, ..... . Thanks.

Can you get some link detailing the Changelog about PR1, I am trying to find the changes in PR1 over DP5.
I treid DP5 on Oneplus 5 and it was still Highly unstable, Video Call feature missing without DUO, Front camera not workng in Ported Google Camera, and many other problems like only LTE no VoLTE support yet. So I am looking for changelog of PR1. ( or you could just mention few changes)

It's not an official OnePlus release, it's a ported rom, you have to expect problems.

I know that, Official will take much time now. Hope there is improvement over DP5

I have followed the steps, Wipe device,
install Mokkie ROM latest Nightly build 20180814
Install No Verity Zip
reboot and mount System, Vendor
flash A only image
now flash GSI 1,2,3
flash incall2 and Permisiver zip.
Reboot to system, but stuck in loop to boot to recovery.

With wipe device you mean formatting data right? After completing mokee set up when you reboot to recovery swipe to factory reset and then flash A image and so on

Does anyone know what purpose the Mokee ROM portion of the setup serves on a technical level? Also has anyone noticed that the front camera works on snapchat but not in the google cam port? interesting stuff.
