Hi, friend of mine gave me a Note 3 which was locked to Wind mobile before.
The phone is now unlocked and can work with Rogers, Fido, Telus, Bell and T-mobile.
The problem I have now is whenever I put back the Wind card in, I can't have it to register to wind network.
I even tried to update it to the latest stock firmware OTA to 4.42 now and it still doing the same thing.
Is there anything I can do to make it work on Wind network again?
I suspect the phone is not running on 1700mhz.
Is there a way to find out?

Hi,
I have an AT&T S4 that I got unlocked from AT&T and I have been using it for a few months on UK's Three network with no problems. However, I am on a trip to Portugal for a couple weeks and was hoping to get a SIM card with data for use while here. However, with both Vodafone and NOS I was unable to have the phone connect to the mobile network and get data. I tried changing/checking the APN but nothing has worked. Any advice for me? My phone isn't rooted but I can root it if needed. Thanks for the help.
Hi all, I searched for a bit but couldn't find a direct answer to the question.
I bought a used Telus phone from a friend.
I have a Virgin mobile account and SIM.
If I want to put the phone on Virgin, can I just download and flash the firmware from sammobile.com for Virgin or will the phone still be on Telus?
Note, I did look into the frequencies, etc and all looks to be fine on the hardware front.
Thanks so very much.
I got my wife an AT&T a few years ago with my upgrade credit (I'm on AT&T). She's been using it as an amped-up PDA without a phone plan. This weekend, we unlocked it and put it on a T-Mobile pay as you go plan (because it's cheap, let's not get side-tracked with the why's, please). The phone hasn't been updated since she got it (it's still on 4.2.2), and I've convinced her it's finally time to let me do it. We're going to reset the whole thing, anyway, so my question is, will the unlocked AT&T version of the GS4 function properly with the T-Mobile GS4 firmware?
You want to flash T-Mobile firmware to the att s4 or do you want to know if an updated att s4 will work on the T-Mobile network?
I don't think you can flash T-Mobile firmware to the att s4 as this could brick the phone.
Since T-Mobile is transitioning off their aws system, the unlocked att s4 may work without any modification of the phone's modem software.
I recently activated my SM-N910A on my new T-Mobile account. The phone was out of contract, so I asked AT&T to unlock it, and they did. The phone is working properly with my T-Mobile SIM card, albeit on the AT&T firmware.
Is it possible to replace the AT&T firmware with a stock Samsung Firmware, or, at the very least, with the T-Mobile branded firmware (for SM-N910T)? I understand that the bootloader is locked on these AT&T devices. Is it possible to unlock the bootloader and load a different firmware onto the device?
AT&T firmware has SO much bloatware, and I've not had any luck finding a way to root the phone on this firmware, so I'm stuck with all that bloat. What are my options here? Thanks!
EDIT: The phone was updated OTA to Marshmallow (6.0.1) when it was on the AT&T network. Build number is MMB29M.N910AUCS2EPH7
Hi everyone, title basically says it all. The phone was fully paid for and unlocked. Formally an At&t phone. I'm trying to use it on Sprint's network as it should support it but however I cannot get it to activate at all. Apparently it isn't even recognized by Sprint's system at all. Any advice?
Is it because Sprint is a cdma network and at&t is a gsm network?
I could be very wrong but I dont believe gsm unlocked phones dont play well with verizon/sprint even though they have all the bands.
Let someone wiser point you in the write direction but probably flashing sprint rom on the phone would probably help. There is a thread in rom section that has you flash the unlocked firmware and then flash carrier firmware. I did this with my att unlocked 10+ and now using as a tmobile device(for carrier stuff).
Take it to a store or call ... they're picky as to letting devices on the network that aren't in their system
Gotta flash the g975u1 firmware on it...
