Bootloader - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How do i unlock bootloader on 183.46.15.XT907.Verizon.en.US
i have tried downgrading it to older 4.4.2 but it keeps giving me errors.
Root Access: Yes
Android Version: 4.4.2
System Version: 183.46.15.XT907.Verizon.en.US
Build Number: KDA20.62-15.1
I just want to install CM12's lollipop.
And i have tried motocalypse and it didnt work

Sorry but just give up for now. Unless a new exploit is discovered, the BL of .15 is untouchable. And with a locked BL you can't do downgrades.
Having root on .15 merely means you can do whatever you like to the stock OS, but anything beyond that is unavailable at this moment. No CM12, no downgrade, not even Safestrap.

[Q] Basic Steps to my new Razr M

Hello xda.
I've read a lot in here already, but I just want to confirm the steps to have a fully BL Unlocked device to have CM12 or any other ROM:
1. I have 99% sure that it will come with JB, therefore, I need to root using the towelroot.
2. Use Motopocalypse to unlock my Bootloader.
3. Update my Razr M to KitKat (without touching the recovery partition), this I may achieve by receiving an OTA, but I'm not sure i'll get here in Brazil, I didn't find any zip of this (Shoud I install KK via RSDLite?). That way, my Razr M will have KK Bootloader, witch will allow me to install CyanogenMod.
Please tell me if it is correct, and I'll also update this post :highfive:
Thank you!

I don't have all the answers, but in US, the phone came with JB. If you install the OTA, it will lock the bootloader with no current remedy. Maybe it's OK if the bootloader is unlocked before you install the OTA, but I'm not sure.
If you do receive an OTA, chances are that it's of the 18x.46.15 version which will patch the bootloader unlock exploit, requiring you to unlock before that. However, since not all Jelly Bean builds are unlockable, I'd advise updating to 18x.46.10 (mind the last two digits!) via RSD Lite and unlocking from there. Guides are there in the General section.

Thank you for the replies, I received a OTA, getting the 283.46.10 firmware, and I did almost exactly what I mentioned at the first post (after receiving the OTA, not before).
And now I have unlocked BL and will get CM12, thank you!

[Q] 4.4.2 Downgrade to 4.2.2, is this possible yet?

Hey guys, my question is there:
Its possible to downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.2.2 ?
I have been reading alot of threads with similar question but i gives to many answer.
Im on a rooted 4.4.2 and i will just back to 4.2.2 because i will a !!completely!! Knox free rom and bootloader.
I dont care about the warrenty, my is run out.
I dont will not only a downgraded rom but also a downgraded bootloader.
When someone have trying a to downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.2.2 please post here the result.
When a downgrade to 4.4.2 is not possible than which is the lowest firmware which i can flash?
Please try to keep the thread clear and give a usefull answer. Thank you guys
And please dont kill me for my english :good:
Once the bootloader has been upgraded to a Knox-enabled version, you cannot downgrade it. The ROM can be downgraded regardless of the bootloader, but running a Knox-free ROM with a Knox-enabled bootloader will result in a "Kernel is not SEAndroid Enforcing" message to appear on the splash screen every time the device is rebooted.
Okay too Bad...
A question more, i have been reading that a downgrade (Rom+Bootloader) is possible to 4.3, because there have the same Bootloader but just less aggressiv. Is that true?
When yes you can share a stock samsung rom 4.3 without knox?
Thank you for the answer

You can downgrade with a custom 4.2.2 rom. You just need to look for one.
Okay that i understand but can i downgrade the Bootloader to 4.3? Because there is similar to our one.

Can we use official ROM
Can we downgrade without using Custom ROM?
If we unpack Official tar ROM and remove the bootloader and modem of it and then repack it to tar.
Can that downgrade the Android version from 4.4.2 to 4.2.2?
Or it is not working?

It's possible to downgrade to stock 4.2.2 but a custom kernel such as KT-SGS4 will probably be needed to get the WiFi working.
Simply reinstalling the 4.2.2 modem files using Odin should be sufficient to get the WiFi working. No need of a custom kernel. It is also possible to downgrade the ROM without going through the routine of unpacking and repacking the ROM. Simply flash it through Odin, although you'd need to flash the modem files a second time to get the radios fully functional, as previously mentioned. Just be aware that the bootloader will not change, so every time you boot the 4.2.2 ROM with the Knox-enabled bootloader you will get a message on the splash screen about the kernel not being in enforcing mode.
I have trying this:
I take a orginal XXUBMF8 4.2.2 delete inside the zip bootloader and some other files repack back to .tar
Flash it all fine but then the error, the software is not authorized and on the top secure fail: kernel.
I tried flash a custom 4.2.2 kernel through odin but the same result.
My DL Modus look so: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/93311676/DSC_0014.JPG
Now i get back to 4.4.2 GNG8

well im not sure which way would be easier i would think downgrading and re rooting but if you choose not to you can always just reroot it even on lollipop there is a new way to root no matter what version you are on also check and make sure you have busybox and supersu installed it may have gotten deleted somehow and that could be why your phone is saying you dont have root
There's not much point in re-rooting if you plan to download an update to lollipop, because the update will immediately un-root you.
Just use Odin to flash a factory image, then follow the rooting instructions for whichever version you decide on.

Can I install custom roms on my Galaxy S4 OK2?

I have the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4
Android Version 5.0.1
Build I337UCUGOK2
I've already unrooted it.
My question is, can I install custom roms to it?
I read somewhere on xda that I can only install roms based on the base one using Safestrap.
I really wanted to install cyanogenmod, but on the page there's the warning ''you must be on build I337UCUAMDB or I337UCUAMDL or this will not work''
Any help would be appreciated.
Not possible without unlocking bootloader
I am in the same boat. Unfortunately at the moment there is no way to get CyanogenMod from OK2. I have spend so many hours trying for the same. The conclusion is that the bootloader is locked and there is no known method to unlock the bootloader on I337 yet.

Samsung Galaxy S4 sgh-i337 4.4.4 NJ5 Bootloader Unlock

I realize this is a very old issue.
But I was given an Samsung ATT galaxy S4.
I would like to flash this phone with lineageOS.
I was able to root it.
But I was unable to unlock the bootloader and flashing TWRP failed.
The phone's specs are:
Android Version: 4.4.4
Baseband Version: I337UCUFNJ5
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-2960651 Oct 2014
To my understanding NJ5 is past MF3.
Can I use "safetrap" to unlock the bootloader?
I looked at:
[RECOVERY LOCKED] Safestrap Recovery v3.71/v3.72 [2014-04-02 KK Beta]

But only up to NB1 seems supported.
Is there any safetrap version for NJ5?
Any other option?
Thank you.
